I have reviewed a few other Umarex T4E .43 Caliber Paintball Airguns in the past so if you have watched any of those than you already have a pretty good idea what to expect from the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun. As with all my Field Test Shooting Videos I first test out the velocity in fps shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph and averaging them out. I then place a full magazine generally into a paper target setup 30 feet down ranged see what the accuracy looks like. For my velocity test I placed a brand new 12 gram CO2 in the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun and shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph, getting an average fps of 322. The fastest shot hit a velocity of 331 fps with the slowest shot hitting 311 fps so all pretty close together. I was using standard .43 caliber rubber balls as they are a lot less messy here inside the indoor sea can Airgun shooting range. I didn't check the temperate but generally I keep iti comfortable, so around 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next up I shot a full magazine which is 8 rounds for the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun. Paintball guns are not known for their accuracy but I was impressed with the base grouping I got from the Umarex T4E PDP, It shot really well centered with 6 rounds all within about 3 inches of each other. 2 rounds did “wing out” a bit increasing the grouping to closer to about 6 inches but still a good grouping from a paintball gun design not so much to be super accurate but to be able to hit human sized targets ate realistic ranges which it does do very well.
I am not sure if this is the best test result for an Umarex T4E Paintball Airgun I have ever done but for sure it is one of the best for what I remember. Velocity was right on the mark and accuracy was again very good. I would be very confident in the performance of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun out in the field. I also think it is one of the nicer looking Umarex T4E .43 Caliber Paintball Pistols but if you are more of a Glock or S&W person there are options form Umarex for you too so make sure to check out our selection of Paintball Airguns over on our our Canada and US Replica Airgun Stores.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun feels a lot like a double action trigger in length of pull and weight. When you pull the trigger back, there is an inner barrel that retracts back into the magazine sealing off a Paintball for more efficient CO2 usage, but this does cause some trigger drag and friction. There is also a working trigger safety which is a nice safety feature.
Accuracy: So far I have not had the opportunity to test the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun out, so stay posted for a future Field Test Shooting video where I will see what kind of fps and accuracy we can expect from it. I have made a Field Test Shooting Videos for the Umarex T4E Walther PPQ M2 CO2 Blowback .42 Caliber Paintball Pistol so have a watch of that video as the performance of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun should be about the same.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them to be, as in the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts. This gives the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun a nice 1.5 pound weight to it with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version pretty close to the real still version. The Umarex T4E PDP does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also excellent.
Realism: The Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun is a very close replica of the real steel Walther PDP, from the fully licensed trademarks to the large .43 caliber diameter barrel. If you placed the Paintball version side by side with the real steel version, I doubt you would be able to easily tell them apart without actually handling them? You will find that the slide cycle distance is a much shorter than it would be with the real steel version, meaning that when the side cycles rearward or the slide catch is engaged, the slide does not go as far back as it should. Filed stripping the Umarex T4E PDP Compact Walther .43 Cal CO2 Blowback Paintball Gun will require tools however.
Pros:

The realism is excellent not only in looks but also in function making their use as training weapons that much more valuable. If you are looking for the most realistic Replica Paintball Pi thenstol, Umarex T4E products are your best option and it is nice that we now have several models to choose from that may coincide with your standard side arm of choice.
In this Mystery Boxing Video I get to take a look at 4 new Airgun Products and give you my first impressions along with a few specifications about each of them but not in a lot of details as I have not had an opportunity to research any of them as this my first time seeing them.
First out of the Mystery box is a new Umarex T4E .43 Caliber CO2 Blowback Paintball Pistol with Walther licensing called the Umarex T4E PDP. I have reviewed similar styled T4E .43 caliber CO2 Blowback Pistols in the past and this one should perform and function similarly.
The next Airgun I pulled out out of the box was the EMG SAI 2011 DS 4.3 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol, a really nice 1911 styled Airsoft Pistol with a stainless finish and gold barrel with a CO2 Magazine. This one looks and feels really nice.
Staying with the pistols that came in this Mystery Box, I got my first look at the Umarex Markpoint .177 Caliber Break Barrel Pellet Pistol that has a bit of a utilitarian look and feel to it. This one is the longer barrel version and has a claimed fps of 395 using alloy pellets so we will see what it can get with more traditional lead pellets when I make my Field Test Video for it down the road a bit.
The last item out of the Mystery Box was another Umarex product, a fun CO2 BB Rifle with H&K licensing called the HK416. This semi auto and 6 round Burst internal Blowback CO2 BB Rifle is a lot like the Steel Storm and Steel Strike from Umarex but a little bit larger I would say and with H&K Licensing so more of a true Replica Airgun.
I will be making full Table Top and Field Test Videos for all of these items shortly so keep an eye out for those videos but for now you can at least get an idea what these Airgun Products will offer.
This may the one of the most Airguns I have tested out at the same time here in the Replica Airguns Indoor Shooting Range. It took a little bit longer than normal but I go through it with only one of the CO2 Blowback BB Pistols acting up juts a bit at the beginning. After a quick fix the rest of the show went on the road you could say!
What exactly was the purpose of testing out 5 CO2 Blowback BB Pistols all together? I wanted to compare my most compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols to each other to see which one performed the best in my Chronograph Velocity Test and 30 foot 10 Round Target Test. There was no definitive clear winner at the end of the day two of the Air Pistols performed almost the same and then the rest kind of lingered behind them to lesser degrees.

After my Umarex Walther PPK/S Revisit Videos several people commented about comparing the Umarex Walther PPK/S to some more similar Compact Blowback Airguns other than the KWC Makarov PM. The Sig Sauer 936 came up a few times and so I figured I would see what I could find in terms of some other compact CO2 Blowback BB Pistols.

The Walther PPQ M2 does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weigth down. Fit and finish is also excellent.
Realism: The Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is a near perfect replica of the real steel Walther PPQ M2, form the fully licensed markings to the large .43 caliber diameter barrel. If you placed the Paintball version side by side with the real steel version I doubt you could tell them apart? You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it shoudl be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back as it should. I'm really glad to see another Replica Paintball Pistol available in Canada, especially such a well made and realistic version. The Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol looks to be perhaps the best to date .43 caliber Paintball gun on the market and may even prove to be an option for non-lethal personal defense when using rubber balls with it. Not that I would trust my life with it but it sure looks the part and I am sure most people would not want to be on the receiving end of 9 rounds coming at you. As a training tool and Paintball gun the Umarex Walther PPQ M2 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol offers superb realism for this purpose. I am looking forward to testing mine out shortly :)
In this 2016 SHOT Show Interview I talk with Nichol Goines from Umarex USA. Nichol and I discuss some new and somewhat revised products from Umarex like the Full Blowback Smith & Wesson M&P40, the soon to finally be released Beretta Model 92 A1, a new Pellet version of last years Colt Single Action Army Revolver and a reappearance and revision of the Walther PPK CO2 Blowback BB pistol.
Last year Umarex introduced their Colt Single Action Army CO2 BB Revolvers and I would say last year they where on of my highlight airguns for the show. They have been selling like gang-busters! One question people have been asking is if there will be a pellet shooting version? Well now there is and like the Steel BB version the pellets load from the back of the shell making it super easy to reload the removable brass shells. The new Pellet SAA Revolver also has a rifled barrel to help with accuracy.

I would have to say this years gun highlight well at least from Umarex is their new Smith & Wesson M&P40 full blowback CO2 BB Pistol. It is a perfect copy of the real steal version complete with a full size drop out magazine and full Beretta licensing. I really hope this one ships soon and does not get delayed like the Beretta Model 92 A1 introduced last year and still yet to be shipped :(
Speaking of the Beretta Model 92 A1 CO2 Blowback BB pistol. It is finally getting released this February and like the S&W M&P40, is a virtual identical replica of the original Beretta Mod. 92 A1 complete with full blowback, a full size drop out magazine and of course all the trades and licensing in all the right locations.
Last and not least but still worth noting is the CO2 Blowback BB shooting Walther PPK. It kind of dropped out of productions which is a real shame since it was the replica BB pistol that got all of this started for me several years back and to this day is still a lot of fun ot shoot! Even James Bond went back to the PPK for the latest 007 movie! Well it's back and this time Umarex got rid of the ugly CO2 tab and replaced it with a discreet Allen key screw. Saves us all from doing the CO2 screw mod :)
Here is my follow up Shooting Field Test to my Umarex CP88 Competition Table Top Review. During this Field Test Shooting video review I not only shoot my CP88 Competition version but I also compare it to the non Competition CP88 version to see if fps and accuracy are effected when adding the longer barrel? I shoot 5 rounds through my Chronograph with both guns to get an average fps and I also step back 30 feet and setup resting my hands on a sand bag and standing in the back for a fairly secure shooting stance. Since the Umarex Walther CP88's have an 8 shot rotary magazine I went with an 8 shot grouping for my accuracy test from 30 feet.
Overall both guns performed similarly and as expected the longer barrel CP88 Competition had the higher fps with 424 average versus 347 average, but what was surprising was how much faster the CP88 Competiton shot. Right around 80 fps more which is significant considering there is only 2 inches more of added barrel length to the Umarex CP88 Competition version. I am thinking that perhaps my CP88 Competition test model was tuned a bit better at the factory?
When it came to accuracy, both guns performed about the same getting about 1 inch group from 30 feet back. This was not a surprise since barrel length has less effect on accuracy than most people think.
Both guns are a pleasure to shoot and will not only perform great shooting close up but if you go with the higher fps Umarex Walther CP88 Competition you will be able to shoot much further out because of the rifled barrel and decent fps performance.
I do have to say, modifying the PPK to Full Auto is not recommended, mine originally worked well but the heavy blowback in full auto eventually broke the firing pin setup and I lost it somewhere in my back field. I had to Macgyver a bolt in place to kind of work but now my Full Auto Modded PPK shoots out of control, what I mean by this is when I press the trigger, it does not stop shooting until all the BB's are gone. Safe, I don't think so!
My suggestion is to leave the Umarex Walther PPK as is, it truly is a an awesome CO2 Blowback BB replica with some really decent blowback recoil in a small airgun.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Walther PPS is pretty good overall. This pistol mechanically is very similar to the ASG Bersa BP9CC so it shares a similar trigger system that picks up a BB during the first part of the trigger pull allowing the BB to enter the barrel and then on the second part of the trigger pull the internal hammer is released. The hammer is set in the cocked position from the blowback action so the actual trigger pull is fairly light. You can feel a bit of friction when the BB is being moved into the barrel but it is not drastic. Overall trigger pull length is about medium with a very predictable release point.
Accuracy: I did my pre-test of the Umarex Walther PPS CO2 Blowback BB Pistol from 30 feet back shooting at a paper target using a semi rested position (sand bag up front and standing in the back). My 10 shot grouping was just a bit below the center bulls eye and very well centered left and right All 10 BB's stayed within 2 inches with a nice even spread. The Umarex Walther PPS also shot right around the 360 fps range on this not so warm spring day so I would expect it to hit significantly higher than the claimed 350 fps on hot summer days.
Build Quality: The Umarex Walther PPS for it's rather low retail price is very good quality, again comparable to the ASG Bersa BP9CC since I believe both guns are made in the same factory. Fit is very good, everything works well and the slide has next to no wobble, I especially like the way the allen key is built into the CO2 hatch which allows for no need to a CO2 tab to have to accommodate with a bulkier but plate. The finish is also very nice, I did not see any wear mark appear with use and the plastic used in the frame seems to be very high quality.
Realism: The Umarex Walther PPS BB Pistol is a fully licensed replica of the real steel Walther PPS compact cary pistol. It is an extremely close copy in both looks and feel, has a nice snappy blowback action and has a working slide catch release that hold back when the magazine is empty. The slide movement is shorter than expected but this does allow for better power and CO2 usage, it also would have been nice to have a full size drop out magazine but the stick magazine with it's full size but plate does a nice job of still making this replica Airgun look very believable.
Well priced for what you get in our Canada Store, less cost than the ASG Bersa BP9CC.
Nice accuracy, power for such a small short barreled pistol.
Really nice replica of the original Walther PPS and fully licensed.
Great small size weight and feel to it.
Fit and finish is very good.
Decent blowback action for such a small pistol.

I really liked the ASG Bersa BP9CC when I review it because it was such a well rounded gun in a very compact and well built design. The Umarex Walther PPS perhaps exceeds the Bersa BP9CC since it is even more compact, seems to have a bit more blowback recoil while still retaining decent fps and accuracy, and the Umarex PPS has a superior design when it comes to the built in allen key for tightening the CO2. You even get all of this for less cost then the ASG BErsa BP9CC. Don't get me wrong, I would not be without either gun, but if I could only have one it would be the Umarex Walther PPS.

The Umarex Walther PPS is a full licensed CO2 BB Blowback replica of the real steel super compact Walther PPS and it compares well to the ASG Bersa BP9CC that I reviewed earlier and by the way ended up being one of my favorite compact air pistols. That said I think the Umarex Walther PPS is the new king! It is even more compact yet has great fps for a super small CO2 pistol, shot very accurate even from 30 feet out and has more blowback recoil than the larger Bersa BP9CC!

Umarex added another shell loading revolver to their collection, the fully licensed Colt Python 357 and again this revolver uses CO2 and shoots 4.5mm Steel BB's that are preloaded into 6 included brass shells. Out of all the 4.5mm shell loading revolvers to date, I have to say the Colt Python 357 is the heaviest coming in at just under 3 pounds. The trigger hammer combination is also very smooth and it has a fully adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation.

I have already done a pretest for the Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol while making my Table Top Review and it shot right around the 333 fps mark, but it was a colder day then. I also shot my Umarex Walther P99 DAO from a much closer 20 foot distance for the pretest and got a respectable 2 inch grouping.
On the actual Field Test Shooting day it was much warmer (tank top weather ;) and so as would be expected, this time my Umarex Walther Airsoft P99 shot a bit quicker at right around a 356 fps average, shooting 10 rounds through my Chronograph. I would expect to get even more fps on an even hotter day as it was only about 22 degrees Celsius or about 72 Fahrenheit on this test day.
Accuracy from 30 feet out was pretty close to my pretest 20 foot testing if you exclude the two flyers but again the Umarex Airsoft P99 version was shooting a bit to the left which unfortunately can not be adjusted other than changing my sight position on the target. I would think the trend to the left will only increase as we shoot further out but this gun is really best suited for close quarters shooting anyways and should have no problems right up to 50 feet shooting a man sized target..
You can expect to get around 100 shots or a good 6 full 15 shot magazines from Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol which should get you nicely through a CQB match without having to change CO2 cartridges. For being a rather low cost Airsoft gun, it did perform well enough for me on this day, keep in mind it does have a firm long pull double action only trigger so really fast shooting will take it's toll on your trigger finger ;)

Trigger Pull: The Double Action Only trigger pull on the Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is long but not overly heavy for a double action trigger, it does have a break point mid way where it locks partway back, I presume this is the point in which a BB is loaded from the magazine into the barrel? The rest of the pull is still medium but much shorter with a distinct release point.
Accuracy: I did do a quick preliminary test before I made this table top review to get an idea of where this gun performs in terms of FPS and accuracy, I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph on a fresh CO2 and got an average of 333FPS which was a bit lower than the claimed 380 but it was not the hottest of days. I also stepped back 20 feet and from a semi rested position I was able to get 9 shots within 2 inches of each other which was not bad for a DAO gun that I have never shot before. I did shoot a bit down and to the left with the set sights.
Build Quality: The Umarex Walther P99 is well built for its rather low price tag, it may not have all the bells and whistles but it does get the job done with good fit and finish and materials used. You will find a plastic/polymer frame but there is a lot of metal where it would normally be found on the real steel version like in the slide, magazine, trigger, slide catch, magazine release, inner barrel and many other internal parts. No real complaints here!
Realism: The Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is pretty close in looks to a real steel Walther P99 with the exception of a missing decocker, but I'm pretty sure this is the same with the real steel DAO version? There is also the funny looking safety on the right side of the frame found on many Umarex airguns. I have to mention the red tip but again this can be removed and even when removed the barrel it is still recessed which adds to the realism. The Blowback action, Walther licensing and nice heavy weight all add up to make this Airsoft pistol look and feel the part.

Overall the Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a very good buy, it's a decent replica of the real steel Walther P99 with blowback operation, lots of metal parts, good fit and finish, decent performance and full Walther licensing and trademarks. All at a very affordable price tag. It may lack some of the extras you will find on more expensive and more functional Airsoft pistols but the simplicity of the Umarex Walther P99 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol means it will most likely be a bit more reliable with less to go wrong down the road. If you have been looking for a nice Walther styled replica in an Airsoft version this may be just be the ticket!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Real Action Paintball RAP4 X50 is rather nice in single action, being a true blowback gun, the cycling of the slide not only chambers a round but also pre-cocks the hammer allowing for a very smooth and light single action trigger pull. There is also a working de-cocker that allows you to release the internal hammer. Double action is noticeably heavier but would only really be used on the first shot if you had already used the de-cocker.
Accuracy: After my previous review of the RAM X50 I was expecting this gun to perform pretty much the same. I did find it to be a bit more accurate within the 20-25 foot range using the rubber balls but when I got out into the field and switched over to the Paintballs I found that they where really hooking and darting all over the place? Mind you, this gun was right out of the box and not broken in yet. I also got a bit lower fps (right around 250) out of the RAP4 RAM Walther P99 compared to my RAM X50 but again my review unit had not been adjusted in any way and I imagine I could turn it up a bit to get more fps out of it if I wante to. The plus side is I was able to get an astounding 8 magazines worth of shots out of one CO2.
Build Quality: The RAP4 RAM Walther P99 styled Paintball Pistol is built very well, it does have a polymer frame but the gun overall has lots of metal parts and a very good overall 2 pounds weight to it dry. The blowback action is very snappy and all the mechanics and fit and finish all look and function very nicely. The slide spring is nice and firm giving this paintball gun a snappy recoil and the feel closer to a real gun than that of an airgun.
Realism: The RAP4 RAM Walther P99 was primarily made to simulate real word shooting environments for Police and Military users and even includes Walther branding and licensing, it is a very believable looking and functioning copy of the real steel semi auto pistol it replicates. Other than the exception of the CO2 Cylinder hanging a bit far out of the bottom of the handle. The RAM P99 would be hard to tell from the actual Walther P99, especially when looking down the large .43 caliber barrel. The Blowback action and firm recoil help pull off the believability when shooting this ralistic Paintball Pistol.

This was my second time testing a RAP4 RAM product and again I took the chance to use it as it was intended to be used - in the field going through simulated tactical situations. My targets where barrels this time but they could have been other people with similar paintball guns shooting back at me which would have put even more pressure on me and forced me to really see where my mistakes are being made. That's the whole point of this type of training airgun, make it as real as it can be without your actual life being in danger so that when you are in danger you will not have to think about what you are doing but simply react based on your previous training. I think anyone who is a gun owner wanting to improve their reactive shooting skills should invest in one of these Paintball guns. One day you may thank yourself but let's hope it does not come to that!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman C42 is surprisingly good for a double action only airgun, it is a tad bit long but the extra length seems to smooth out the trigger pull giving the C41 a light yet predictable trigger pull. Accuracy: This BB shooter out of the box did not do very well! It did get better over time and I was able to get closer to a 2 inch grouping from 20 feet out in a free standing position. My Crosman C41 had a noticeable amount of oil on the magazine when I got it and if this oil came from the internal parts of the gun, the oil could most certainly effect accuracy and feet per second ratings. I also noticed that the FPS seemed to increase over time which is contradictory to how CO2 generally performs. (Usually FPS lowers as the CO2 gets used up and the gun cools down)
Build Quality: This is a relatively inexpensive air gun to purchase, in most cases an airgun in this price range will be mostly made out of plastic but the C41 is the other way around and is almost all metal! It isn't an overly complicated gun with a lot of moving parts other than the slide and trigger so to speak, but that means there is less to go wrong. This gun is very rugged with the exception of the handle which seems a bit loose but I doubt will cause any problems down the road. Realism: Although the Crosman C41 is not advertised as a Walther P38 Replica nor is it licensed in any way, it does very closely resemble the Walther P38 semi auto 9mm pistol used in the Second World War. There are some slight differences but overall it is a close copy to the German Walther P38. Available in the:Replica Airguns Store.

Comments: The Crosman C41 has an excellent combination of FPS, Accuracy and CO2 efficiency with an amazing 150 plus shots per CO2. It is also one of the few older styled replicas available, closly replicating the German made Walther P38 9mm semi auto pistol used in the Second World War making it a great addition to any airgun collection. The Crosman C41 is a very good overall airgun for the money giving you pretty much an all metal airgun that should give you years of enjoyment.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1 (88 gram). Action: Semi auto, double action only. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's Ammunition Capacity: 40 shot internal spring fed magazine. FPS: 480 (single shot) - 250 (three shot burst). Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Walther SG 9000 is in the mid range and is a bit long but once you get used to it you can fire off shots very quickly with little resistance. There really aren't any sticky spots in the trigger pull to speak of.
Accuracy: I shot this CO2 BB Shotgun at a target from the hip 20 feet away using my NcSTAR laser sight I installed on it in a free standing position, and it performed excellent getting a 1.5 inch grouping fairly centered on target. I also performed my accuracy test from 30 feet out in a semi-rested position using my 6x32 NcSTAR Scope and again I got a 1.5 inch grouping proving that a BB gun can show decent accuracy even from further out when setup properly. With my Chrony Chronograph testing I scored much higher then the factory claimed feet per second of 480fps in single shot mode and 250fps in three shot burst mode. I ended up getting an average 8 shot fps in single shot mode of 504fps and 309fps in three shot burst mode! Build Quality: This is an almost all external polymer air gun with some metal components on the inside giving the Walther SG9000 a bit of a light to medium overall weight but once you add the large 88 gram CO2 cartridge and some accessories this gun can quickly gain a pound or two. All four accessory rails are metal along with the trigger. The fit and finish is very good on the SG9000 and the plastic quality seems very durable.
Realism: The Umarex Walther SG9000 is licensed by Walther but other then a similarity in the pistol grip it doesn't closely look like any specific Walther product or any specific Tactical shotgun for that matter. It does have a very tactical look and with a few accessories added you will have yourself a very persuasive looking shotgun on your hands. Comments: The Umarex Walther SG9000 is a really fun and very inexpensive CO2 BB shotgun. With its multiple shooting modes you have the option of power and accuracy in single shot mode or to simply blow stuff away in three shot burst mode. The Walther SG9000 is also very customizable allowing you to really make this Tactical BB shotgun your own by decking it out with just about any combination of add ons and accessories you like! I found this gun the most fun to shoot in three shot burst mode using my laser sight and literally knocking down everything I pointed at!
