EKOL SPECIAL 99 9MM P.A.K. BLANK GUN REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Special 99.

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 1.7 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi auto single & double action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 8 round single stack magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull of the EKOL Special 99 is medium to heavy when in double action mode, but once the hammer is back, the single action mode is one of the lightest triggers I have ever felt. I imagine if this was an actual target shooter it would be a dream to fire on target!

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Special 99 is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal and for it's medium size has a good weight to it. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect. The two satin tone look suits this gun and brings out its features.

Realism: The EKOL Special 99 is a pretty good replica of the Beretta Cheetah, most like the model 85 (.380 caliber) as they both share the single stack 8 round magazine.

Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good solid weight in a medium sized gun.

  • Plastic grips and the magazine end cap are much better quality on the Special 99 then on other EKOL guns.

  • The two tone satin finish really suits this pistol.

  • Good replica of the Beretta Cheetah Model 85.

  • Great single action trigger feel.

Cons:

  • There is not much slide to grab when trying to pull it back and the safety gets a bit in the way of racking the slide.

  • The Magazine takes a bit of effort to load into the gun, but you get used to it.

Comments:

The EKOL Special 99 blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with a nice assortment of finishes. I like the fact that the EKOL Special 99 is truly a replica gun very closely resembling the Beretta Cheetah pistol which will draw many Beretta fans to this blank shooter. Another thing that makes the EKOL Special 99 kind of "special" is it's almost perfect mid sized dimensions. It's not too big or small and for that reason should be suitable for almost anyone.

EKOL ES 55 CO2 4.5mm BB Pistol Review

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer:EKOL.

Model:ES 55.

Materials: All metal construction.

Weight: 2.25 pounds.

Barrel: Metal rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, single & double action.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 15+1 round magazine.

FPS: 396.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is fairly heavy in double action mode as the hammer spring is firm. In Single action mode the trigger pull lightened up a lot and allows for respective target shooting.

Accuracy: I conducted my test shooting from a target 20 feet away in a free standing position. The EKOL ES 55 gave me a respective 2 inch grouping. I think with practice, I could get this easily down to a 1 to 1.5 inch group as I was not initial comfortable shooting this gun. After shooting it for a while I did become used to the characteristics of the ES 55.

Build Quality: The EKOL ES 55 comes from a company primarily making blank guns. EKOL makes this gun directly from a similar model (The EKOL Sava) that shoots blanks so in many ways the ES 55 is designed more like a real gun than an air gun. The EKOL ES 55 is all metal with rubber grips and feels fantastic in the hand. There are really no plastic parts to speak of and I could not find any quality concerns on this gun at all! The gloss black painted finish is flawless on this gun!

Realism: The EKOL ES 55 is not a replica of any one gun so to speak, it looks a bit like a bunch of guns: maybe the closest one being the Glock? It does have characteristics from other guns but in terms of does this look like a real gun? Yes very much so, and when you hold it in your hand, you will find it hard to believe its an airgun.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Very solid all metal construction!

  • Good accuracy and excellent power combination.

  • Full size metal drop out magazine.

  • Nice rubber grips.

  • Single and double action.

  • Moveable slide.

  • Rifled barrel

  • Designed more like a real gun than an air gun.

Cons:

  • Ejection port is moulded into the gun.

  • Sights a bit hard to see on dark backgrounds.

  • Slide does not move when magazine loaded into gun.

  • Slide release is non functioning.

Comments:

This is my first ever air gun from EKOL, I have been very happy with their blank guns so it does not surprise me that their CO2 BB guns are just as nice. The EKOL ES 55 is a well built very solid CO2 BB shooter and has excellent velocity and respectable accuracy from its rifled barrel. I found the gloss black finish to be very good on the ES 55. That combined with the rubberized grips makes this BB pistol a very attractive air gun. The EKOL ES 55 isn't the least expensive BB pistol on the block but it won't break the bank either and at the end of the day you get really good value for a gun you will hopefully own a lifetime.

EKOL - ASI - FIRAT - SPECIAL 99 - ES 55 - MAJOR - TUNA - ARDA ARRIVE

UPDATE - Feb. 22nd: Added a YouTube video to this post.

Back on January 30th I made a post about the Replica Airguns Store getting some new EKOL Blank Guns and Airguns. We'll I just got my review shipment of them in today and had some fun looking them all over. I don't plan on keeping all of them, but I will most certainly keep a few for my personal inventory!

Let's take a closer look at some of these fine EKOL blank guns and air guns:

EKOL ASI - $269US(Order-now)

The EKOL ASI is a very nice semi auto and full auto front firing 9mm P.A.K blank machine gun. This well built blank shooter comes with a 15 round and 25 round magazine and has selectable semi or full auto firing modes. This blank machine-gun is destined for my collection...

EKOL FIRAT - $139US (Order-now)

You may remember my reviews on the EKOL Jackal Dual? This is it's little brother in the compact version and with semi auto only. Other than that it's the same exact 15 round 9mm P.A.K. blank gun!

EKOL SPECIAL 99 - $119US (Order-now)

The EKOL Special 99 is a mid-sized Beretta styled blank shooter that comes with a single stack 8 round 9mm P.A.K. magazine. I was instantly impressed with the styling and overall feel of this gun. I'm pretty sure this one is a keeper!

EKOL ES 55 - $159CAN (Order-now)

In the mix of Blank shooters came this EKOL ES 55 4.5mm BB gun, I'm going to have to shoot a few rounds through this arigun before I can really comment on it. Still a very nice looking all metal BB shooter with a full size drop out 16 round magazine.

EKOL MAJOR - $109US (Order-now)

If your a James Bond fan, you will recognize the design of this gun, it's a replica of the Walther PPK compact semi auto, Bond's favorite sidearm in many of the 007 movies. This particular version uses 9mm P.A.K blanks and holds 7 rounds in the magazine. I already have a few PPK styled blank guns so I'm not sure if this one is staying with me...

EKOL TUNA - $79US (Order-now)

Now we are getting into the light weight blank guns, and I thought my EKOL Volga was small! The EKOL Tuna is pretty similar to the EKOL Volga in looks and design but comes in just a bit smaller and hold 6 rounds of 8mm P.A.K. blanks in it's tinny single stack magazine. Even though this blank gun is so similar to my EKOL Volga, I may find it just a bit too hard to give up?

EKOL ARDA - $89US (Order-now)

If you're looking for a small blank gun - look no further! The EKOL Arda is crazy small but even so feels solid in the hand, just make sure to hold on tight! The Arda hold 5 rounds of 8mm P.A.K. blank ammo in it's cylinder and uses a pre-cocked single action only hammer, just like back in the wild west.

UMAREX COLT DEFENDER CO2 4.5MM BB PISTOL REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer:Umarex.

Model:Colt Defender.

Materials: Mostly metal construction with a few plastic parts.

Weight: 1.6 pounds.

Barrel: 4.3 inches, metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, double action.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 18 round magazine.

FPS: 440.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is medium and a bit long, the break point is a bit hard to predict but once you get used to it being on the long side it shoots pretty good.

Accuracy: This was my second time shooting the Colt Defender at a target from 20 feet away in a free standing position, and again it performed about the same as the first time, with a decent 2 inch grouping. I think with practice, I could get this easily down to a 1.5 inch group.

Build Quality: As the Colt Defender is almost all metal, you can't really complain to much about the durability aspects of this gun. Where I was let down a bit was the lack of functionality. In other words - parts that normally served a purpose like the hammer, slide release, sight adjustments and rear safety - all where just molded into the metal gun and where only for show.

Realism: The Umarex Colt Defender is a licensed replica of the real 45 auto Colt Defender pistol. It is a close looking copy with the exception of the trigger mechanism.

Purchased this gun at : The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Almost all metal construction!

  • Good accuracy and power combination.

  • Very solid and durable air gun.

  • Decent replica of the actual Colt Defender 45 auto.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Most of the mechanical parts are molded into the gun.

  • I don't like the screw holes on the right hand side of the gun - a dead giveaway.

  • I would have liked a drop out magazine.

  • Ejection port metal material is only a plastic sticker.

Comments:

This is another low cost replica air gun from Umarex designed for the more entry level buyer. It's a very solid and well made gun being that it's mostly metal. There are many positive aspects about teh Colt Defender, it's fairly consistent and accurate, has all the Colt licensing and trademark, has a good 440fps, uses an all metal design, and comes in at a very affordable price.

Action: Semi auto, double action.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.

Accuracy: This was my second time shooting the H&K USP at a target from 20 feet out free standing and again it performed about the same with a decent 2 inch grouping.

Build Quality: You would think as this air pistol is mostly all plastic on the outside, that it would seem cheap and not so well made, but in fact the opposite is true! The plastic is of very good quality and form looking at it you would think the slide was actually made out of metal. Many of the internal parts and the full size drop free magazine are made out of metal giving the H&K USP a very solid and hefty feel.

Realism: The Umarex H&K USP is a licensed replica of the real H&K USP automatic pistol. It is an extremely close looking and accurate copy.

Purchased this gun from: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Good price for such a realistic looking replica - excellent prop gun!

  • Good accuracy and power combination.

  • Nice full size 22 round drop out metal magazine..

  • Even though it has a lot of plastic, they used high quality materials.

  • Would have been nice to have at least a metal slide.

  • Slide catch is moulded into the frame and the slide does not function in any way.

Comments:

This is another low cost replica air gun from Umarex designed for the more entry level buyer. It's actually a very well made gun despite all the plastic parts and it even has all the H&K USP licensing and trademarks. EKOL DICLE 9MM P.A.K. BLANK GUN REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Dicle.

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 2.5 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi auto single & double action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull of the Dicle is fairly heavy in double action mode, even cocking the hammer takes some effort, but once the hammer is back the single action mode is much lighter. I have not put many rounds through this gun and have found the EKOL's take some breaking in before they loosen up a bit.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Dicle is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal and very heavy with a thick slide and heavy frame. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect. The two tone look suits this gun and brings out its features.

Realism: The EKOL Dicle is not an exact copy of the Beretta Cougar, but it does look very similar with the exception of the elongated thumb guard.

Purchase From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good solid weight to the Dicle.

  • The two tone finish really suits this pistol.

  • Worked very well, no jams, misfires or failure to eject or load.

  • Looks very much like the Beretta Cougar.

Cons:

  • Plastic grips are a bit cheap looking.

  • The plastic but piece at the bottom of the magazine seems a bit cheap and out of place with the rest of this well made gun.

  • A bit of a bulky gun, may be a bit too much gun for some people.

Comments:

The EKOL Dicle blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes. I was not expecting to like the Dicle as much as I did, in photos you just can't fully appreciate how solid this gun really is. The quality and finish is pretty good overall with the usual few minimal cosmetic imperfection found on many Turkish blank guns. This gun test fired without incident, I shoot several rounds through it and had no miss fires, failures to load or eject.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.
Action: Semi auto, double/single action.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 18 round magazine.
FPS: 380.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is light to medium, in single action mode when the hammer is pre-cocked, the trigger is nice and light and easy to predict. When shooting double action the trigger first cocks the hammer and then near the end there is a break point where the hammer releases.
Accuracy: This was my second time shooting this gun at a target from 20 feet out free standing and again the Makarov performed well. The ability to shoot in single action, definitely helps with the accuracy.
Build Quality: Being an all metal gun (mostly all metal), makes the gun feel solid and sturdy. The only plastic parts I could find on the Umarex Makarov where the grips and the safety lever. The painted finish is nice but maybe a bit on the glossy side.
Realism: The Umarex Makarov is a licensed replica of the Makarov PM 9x18 Russian military and police pistol. It is a very close copy in both looks and feel.
Purchased this gun from: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Great price for an all metal licensed Makarov replica.
  • Good accuracy and power combination.
  • Sports both single and double action.
  • All metal 18 round drop free magazine.

Cons:

  • No blowback.
  • The slide catch/release does not work, as it's moulded into the frame.
  • Paint may be a bit glossy for some people.

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Jackal Dual.

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 2.5 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi/Full auto single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull of the Jackal Dual is typical of a single action semi auto gun, no hammer pull is required so it has a light to medium pull.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Jackal Dual is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal and very heavy with thick materials. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect. Out of all the EKOL finishes, the black (which is more of  glossy back) is probably the nicest.

Realism: The Jackal Dual is an almost exact copy of the Beretta 92FS, it would be hard to tell them apart from any distance.

Purchase From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Semi and Full auto makes this gun a lot of fun to shoot.

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good solid weight to the Jackal.

  • The black gloss finish is one of the nicer EKOL finishes.

  • If you own a Beretta 92FS or plan to get one, the Jackal would make a great trainer to accompany your real one.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive and this gun can go through it fast!

  • The rear safety is non-functional and a bit confusing.

  • The plastic but piece at the bottom of the magazine seems a bit cheap and out of place with the rest of this well made gun.

  • The Jackal is a bit on the high price side compared to the other EKOL blank guns. (You may want to look at the EKOL Firat blank guns as they are the same gun without the full auto feature for about $60 less.)

Comments:

The EKOL Jackal Dual blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes. Out of all the EKOL guns, I would consider the Jackal Dual as being the most realistic as it is really a copy of the Beretta 92FS. The quality and finish is pretty good overall with the usual few minimal imperfection found on many Turkish blank guns. This gun test fired without incident. I shoot 10 rounds through it and had no miss fires, failures to load or eject. The full auto feature of this gun makes it very thrilling to shoot, just make sure you have lots of ammo with you and an out of the way place to shoot.

Webley Alecto - Zoraki HP-01 .177 & .22 Caliber PCP Air Pistol Review

Related Posts:

Type: Multi-pump Air Pistol.

Manufacturer: Webley - Zoraki ATAK Arms.

Model:Alecto -  HP-01

Materials: Polymer shell with metal internal parts.

Weight: 2.4 pounds.

Barrel: 7.2 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: MSP Multi-stroke pneumatic.

Action: Single shot.

Ammunition Type: .177 & .22 caliber pellets.

Ammunition Capacity: 1 pellet.

FPS: 495+.

Trigger Pull: You simply can not get a better trigger. You can adjust it left and right and forwards and backwards. You can also adjust the tension from .9 lbs to 4 lbs and the break point is smooth as butter.

Accuracy: Awesome, I got about a 1 inch group from a free standing position 20 feet away.

Build Quality: Build quality is excellent, it does have an external outer plastic shell but it is very solid and made of what seems to be high quality weapons grade polymer. All the internal mechanical parts are made out of metal.

Realism: This is not a replica air gun but it does resemble the Desert Eagle in shape and size.

Purchased From: the Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Very accurate for a pistol.

  • Only a few pumps generate a lot of power.

  • Fully adjustable trigger and grips.

  • Fully adjustable sites, including a rotating front site for quick adjust near and far shooting.

  • Great safety design with one finger operation.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • If you're left handed you have to buy the extra left hand grip separately.

  • Comes with the pressure release valve adjusted a bit too lean. (seems to let pressure out even with only two pumps)

  • May be a bit to large for small handed shooters.

Comments:

I originally got this target air pistol mainly to test it out and do a review for the website, thinking I was going to send it back at the end. After playing around with it for a while, I have decided I simply can not part with it. The Webley Alecto is just to addictive to shoot and has such great power and accuracy that you kind of forget it's not an action shooter. you get lost in literally blasting away anything you point it at.

Baikal Makarov MP-654K 4.5mm CO2 BB Pistol Comparison

Related Posts:

This Vimeo Video is mainly a side by side comparison of two Baikal (IZH) MP-654K Makarov Replica BB Guns. One is in nickel made in 2004, and the other is blued, made in 2009. There are a some minor differences in the manufacturing of these two four year apart BB guns but essentially they're both fine examples of quality air pistols that literally are made side by side in the factory from most of the same parts as the original 9x18 Makarov.

Because they are so close to the real Makarov, they have become very difficult to import into North America. Here at the Replica Airguns Store we get our hands on them from time to time so make sure to check and see if you can snag yourself one!

Baikal Makarov MP-654K 4.5mm CO2 BB Gun - Blued Version

Related Posts:

I already have a nickel version of the Baikal Makarov MP-654K 4.5mm CO2 BB Gun, but I got my hands on a brand new blued Baikal Makarov for comparison. The blued version I have is the same as the one we sell in our Replica Airguns Store, that is when we have stock! They are very hard to get ahold of new or used.

I wanted to do a quick video of both versions side by side so you can see any differences for yourself. Baikal has made a few changes to the BB Makarov (often refereed to as the Air Mak) over the years, but for the most part they are still the same great gun. The Baikal Air-Mak is more or less a real Makarov that happens to shoot BB's instead of 9mm bullets.

I will be following this post up with a YouTube comparison video between my 2004 Nickel Baikal Makarov and this 2009 Blued MP-654K Makarov.

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Volga

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 1 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi auto single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 5 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull of the Volga is a bit hard at first but once broken in, seems to soften up to about a medium pull over time as the gun gets worked in.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki blank guns. The EKOL Volga is well built and uses good quality materials, this gun is almost all metal. The finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect.

Realism: The Volga is very similar in design and appearance to the Tanfoglio GT27, a small .25 Automatic sub compact pistols.

Purchase From: The Replica Airgusn Store.

Pros:

  • In Canada these guns are some of the few blank guns available for purchase that are not prohibited.

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good weight to this blank gun even for its small size.

  • You can get the EKOL Volga  in a nice assortment of finishes to choose from.

  • Nice compact blank shooter.

  • Great training gun, as it operates exactly like a real gun without the deadly force.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

  • Volga's trigger pull is a bit heavy but it seems to be getting better over time.

  • Hard to get an empty magazine out of the Volga when the slide is back.

  • Only holds 5 rounds.

Comments:

The EKOL Volga blank gun is a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes, the Volga fits nicely if you're looking for a very compact blank gun. The quality and finish is pretty good overall with the usual few imperfection found on low cost blank guns. This gun test fired without incident, I didn't shoot very many rounds through it but I still had no miss fires, failures to load or eject. If you are thinking about getting a sub compact blank shooter, definitely take a look at the EKOL Volga blank gun.

EKOL - Volga - Dicle - Jackal Dual - 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun Shooting Review

I finally got to shoot my new EKOL blank firing 9mm P.A K. guns today and I just happened to have my "cameras" rolling: My Canon T2i DSLR and my Casio EX-FC100 high speed camera. First off I was very impressed with how these EKOL blank guns performed, this was my first time shooting all of them and they all shot every round without a misfire, jam or loading problem. I was using Fiocchi 9mm P.A.K. blank ammunition by the way.

Make sure to watch this one, there's lots of action, some full auto, a bit of slow motion and even some full contact!

UMAREX BERETTA ELITE II CO2 BB PISTOL REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer:Umarex.

Model:Beretta Elite II.

Materials: Mostly plastic with some metal parts.

Weight: 1.5 pounds.

Barrel: 5.25 inches, metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, double action.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 19 round magazine.

FPS: 480.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is about medium, the trigger first cocks the hammer and then near the end there is a break point where the hammer releases.

Accuracy: I was a bit surprised by the poor results I achieved with this gun shooting from a standing non-rested position from about 20 feet away. I have seen other reviews with much better results, so I will blame the results on me this time and maybe I will have another go with this gun on a different day.

Build Quality: This is a mostly all plastic gun with the exception of some internal parts and the drop out metal magazine. That said it does feel solid and well built with good overall fit and finish.

Realism: The Umarex Beretta Elite II is a replica of the Beretta 92G Elite II (9 mm) and does resemble the real steal in many ways with the acceptation of the extended magazine on the actual Beretta 92G Elite II. For the most part, none of the mechanical parts are functional; like the hammer, slide release, safety, and take down leaver. These parts are all molded into the plastic, the only acceptation to this is the magazine release. Another let down as far as realism goes are the screw holes on the right hand side of the gun.

Purchased this gun in:The Replica Airgun Store.

Pros:

  • Low cost licensed replica of the Beretta 92G Elite II.

  • High 480 FPS.

  • Drop free 19 round metal magazine.

  • Picatinny rail for accessories like tactical lights and lasers.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Mostly plastic construction.

  • Didn't do well for me in the accuracy department (Others have done much better).

  • Ugly screw holes on the left hand side of the gun.

Comments:

This is another low cost replica air gun from Umarex designed for the entry level buyer. It's actually a pretty well made gun in terms of durability but it does lack the details like operational parts and more metal throughout. The Beretta Elite's saving graces are its high 480 FPS, drop out metal magazine and licensed Beretta trademarks. For abut $50, you do get a good overall replica BB pistol.

EKOL - Jackal Dual - Dicle - Volga 9mm P.A.K. Blank Gun Overview

Related Posts:

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer:EKOL - VOLTRAN.

Model: Jackal Dual - Dicle - Volga

Materials: Mostly Metal.

Weight: 2.5 - 2.5 - 1 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Semi/full auto single action - Semi auto single/double action - semi auto single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K. blanks.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 - 15 - 6 round magazines.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull for the Jackal Dual and Dicle is fairly light to medium in weight and with the Volga it's a bit harder with more of a medium to heavy trigger pull. I have noticed it getting lighter over time as I work the gun in.

Accuracy: N/A.

Build Quality: The build quality is similar to that of my Zoraki guns, I have not shot the guns so I can not say yet how they will chamber and fire rounds, but my first impressions after spending some time looking them over and handling them is that they are well built and use good materials. There finish quality is typical of other Turkish guns - good but not perfect.

Realism: The EKOL Jackal Dual is the most realist of the three guns, and I say that because it closely resembles the Beretta 92 FS. And it does look very much like the Beretta 92 FS in many ways. The Dicle and the Volga however do not closely resemble any other guns that I can think of. The closest gun to the Dicle I would have to say is the Beretta PX4, but the Dicle is more like a PX4 and a Sig Sauer combined into one gun. The Volga is similar in design but not spot on to other small .25 Automatic sub compact pistols.

Purchase From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • In Canada these guns are some of the few blank guns available for purchase that are not prohibited.

  • Very good construction, lots of metal parts and good weight to these blank guns.

  • EKOL has a nice assortment of styles and colors to choose from.

  • In the case of the Jackal, this gun would make a good Beretta 92 FS blank shooting replica.

  • Great training guns, as they operate exactly like real guns without the deadly force.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Jackal Dual's rear safety is non-functioning, this is a bit confusing.

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

  • Volga's trigger pull is a bit heavy but it seems to be getting better over time.

  • Hard to get an empty magazine out of the Volga when the slide is back.

Comments:

These EKOL VOLTRAN blank guns are a nice addition to our growing number of legal blank guns in Canada. EKOL offers a nice variety of models to choose from with an assortment of finishes. The quality and finish is better than I expected from EKOL, almost matching the Zoraki products and that's a pretty high pedestal to achieve. If you are thinking about getting a blank shooter, definitely take a look at the EKOL VOLTRAN line of blank guns.

Umarex Walther PPK/S Blowback CO2 BB Pistol Review

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer:Umarex.

Model:Walther PPK/S (Black).

Materials: Mostly metal with some plastic parts.

Weight: 1.2 pounds.

Barrel: 3.5 inches, metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, blowback, single action.

Ammunition Type: 4.5mm BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 15 round magazine.

FPS: 295.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is very light as a result of the true blowback action cocking the hammer with each shot.

Accuracy: For a short barreled non-riiffled BB pistol it tested fairly well with most of the BB's grouping within a 2 inch area at 20 feet out. There where some stragglers however.

Build Quality: This gun is almost entirely metal with the exception of the pistol grips, safety lever, magazine and outer barrel shroud. It has excellent detail and the fit and finish are pretty good.

Realism: The Umarex PPK/S is a replica of the actual Walther PPK/S, well know in the popular 007 James Bond movies. It has the Walther licensing on it in all the right places and overall looks a lot like the real Walther PPK/S with the exception of the lower handle and magazine release area. The handle on the BB version is a bit too long and the oversized CO2 piercing screw really takes away from the potential realism of this gun. That said, it's rather easy to cut the piercing crew shorter and add a notch in it so you can alternatively use a screwdriver to tighten it and gain back a bit more realism.

Purchased From:The Replica Airgun Store.

Pros:

  • Good reproduction of the original Walther PPK/S.

  • Would make an excellent training gun as it has a similar size, weight, and feel to the actual Walther PPK/S.

  • Blowback action and very light trigger pull makes it really fun to shoot.

  • Decent accuracy for a short barreled BB pistol.

  • Inexpensive but good overall quality (made in Japan)

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Heavy usage of CO2.

  • Fairly low 295 FPS.

  • Plastic magazine and out of place safety lever.

  • The CO2 piercing screw is really ugly and a realism killer for this gun.

Comments:

The Umarex Walther PPK/S BB pistol in my opinion is a must have collector piece. Even if you're not a big airgun fan, this is a great way to own virtually the same gun James Bond used in his early 007 movies. The Umarex PPK is a well made fun shooter at an affordable price with surprisingly not too bad accuracy.

Makarov - 16

FPS:

Colt Defender - 440

H&K USP - 400

S&W M&P - 480

Makarov - 380

Trigger Pull: On all these guns the trigger pull is about medium with a bit of a break near the end. Only the Makarov has Single Action capability which gives it a much nicer and lighter trigger pull when desired.

Accuracy:

Colt Defender - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 2 inch group from 10 rounds.

H&K USP - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 2 inch group from 10 rounds.

S&W M&P - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 1.5 inch group from 10 rounds.

Makarov - At 20 feet in standing unrested position I got about a 1 inch group from 10 rounds.

Build Quality:

Colt Defender - Mostly metal with plastic grips, the gun had good finishing and a hefty weight to it.

H&K USP - Mostly good quality plastic with a full metal, full size magazine that gave the gun a solid feel

S&W M&P - Almost entirely plastic, it felt more like a toy then a gun because of it's light weight and shinny finish.

Makarov - Mostly metal with plastic grips and safety. This gun has good weight, feel and finishings.

Realism:

Colt Defender - Even though this BB gun is mostly metal, there are not a lot of moving parts, most parts where moulded into the gun and un-operational with the exception of the trigger and magazine release button.

H&K USP - I found it easy to forget about all the plastic in this air gun because of the excellent detail, everything is exactly right where it's supposed to be!

S&W M&P - On paper this gun is the right size and shape and pretty much looks like the real S&W M&P. You just don't want to get too close or pick it up or the illusion is lost.

Makarov -  An overal good replica with a moving slide that's even filed strip-able. The paint is a bit shinny but it makes for a nice looking gun overall.

Purchased thes guns at: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Colt Defender - Mostly metal, high FPS.
  • H&K USP - Very realistic, full metal full size drop out magazine.
  • S&W M&P - Surprisingly good accuracy, high FPS, drop out metal magazine.
  • Makarov - Mostly metal, moving slide, double and single action, drop out metal slide.

Cons:

  • Colt Defender - Most moving part are non-functional, no drop out magazine.
  • H&K USP - More metal and a moving slide would have been a nice touch.
  • S&W M&P - Lots of cheap plastic, no real weigh to it, parts mostly moulded into the air pistol.
  • Makarov - No blowback, no slide catch, paint is a bit shinny.

Comments:

I had very low expectations for most of these guns based on their low price point. But in the end, I was impressed with at least a couple things about them each of them! I can honestly recommend all of them but just make sure you buy them for the right reasons... If you want a high FPS and accurate target BB pistol then take a look at the Umarex S&W M&P. If you want an all metal gun with lots of moving parts then the Umarex Makarov is probably for you. If you're looking for a very close replica that's got a full size drop out magazine then you probably want the Umarex H&K M&P. If you want something that is super solid and almost indestructible then get then the Umarex Colt Defender juts might fit that bill.

Here's a quick YouTube video of the Zoraki M906 P.A.K. Blank pistol firing off some blank rounds. I fire off 6 semi-auto rounds which by the way is the magazines maximum capacity! I also capture the test fire using my Canon High Speed Slow Motion camera in 210 frames per second mode to really slow down the action and see how this small blank shooter cycles rounds.

CYBERGUN Mini UZI BB GUN REVIEW

Related Posts:

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer: Cybergun.

Model: Mini UZU.

Materials: Metal and Polymer.

Weight: 4.8 pounds.

Barrel: Metal, non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x1.

Action: Semi auto (Selectable Full Auto with Mod) blowback, single action only.

Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.

Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds

FPS: 344

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull is very light with an easy break.

Accuracy: Very good, even with all the heavy blowback recoil!

Build Quality: Excellent, with a good amount of metal construction, good weight and craftsmanship with good fit and finish. Much of the gun is made out of metal with the exception of some of the outer receiver and grips.

Realism: This is a very close replica of the actual real steel with many of the same markings in all the right places, It's hard to find any real differences other than the fact that it shoots 4.5mm BB's and has a bit more plastic.

Pros:

  • Extremely realistic airgun replica of the Mini UZI.

  • Metal construction where it counts.

  • Would make an excellent training gun as it functions just like a real Mini UZI.

  • Blowback action is incredibly firm (more than a rimfire 22 cal.) adding to the realism of shooting this weapon.

  • Can be easily field striped.

  • Can be easily modified to fire in either Semi Auto or Full Auto by removing one small plastic blockage.

  • Adjustable sights.

  • Very useful metal folding stock.

Cons:

  • It goes through CO2 very fast.

  • When the magazine is empty, the slide bolt does not stay open and the gun will continue to fire waisting CO2.

  • Some of the outer materials are plastic, would have been nice if they too where metal construction.

Comments:

This is a really nice blowback BB gun. Although it is advertised on many websites as being all metal, it does have some plastic outer parts, but the parts that get the most wear and tear are made out of metal. That aside, the Cybergun Mini UZI is pretty much an exact copy of the real Mini UZI with many of the same markings as the original. One feature that makes it feel even more genuine is the very heavy blow back recoil, it is alarming at first and I would even say it has more recoil than a rimfire 22 cal. gun does. It only comes in a semi auto version but all Cybergun did to inhibit full auto mode was to simply add a plastic nub that stops the fire selector switch from being selected to full auto. Once this plastic nub is removed, full auto mode is resorted. This well made BB gun is a bit pricy but you get a lot of gun for your money!

ZORAKI M906 9MM P.A.K. BLANK GUN REVIEW

Type: Blank Gun.

Manufacturer: Zoraki - Atak Arms.

Model:Zoraki M906.

Materials: Metal & Polymere.

Weight: .9 pounds.

Barrel: Semi plugged - front firing.

Propulsion: Gun powder.

Action: Single action.

Ammunition Type: 9mm P.A.K.

Ammunition Capacity: 6 round magazine.

FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull is short and smooth, typical of a semi auto action.

Accuracy: NA.

Build Quality: The overall build quality of this gun is awesome. The design and materials all seem to be of good quality. After I received my Zoraki Mod.925 and saw how well ATAK Arms made it's polymer components, I was actually expecting the M906 to be as good if not better. I was not disappointed! ATAK Arms put excellent thought into using metal and polymer materials to their full advantage, making the frame and handle out of polymer and where it really counts, metals are used; Slide, Barrel, and most other mechanical parts. The slide feels as well made as you would find in an actual firearm. The overall quality is that of an actual Firearm!

Realism: This gun is not supposed to be a replica of any gun in production but it does look like a shrunken down Sig Sauer in some ways and hey I love the Sigs. The Zoraki M906 looks and feels like a real gun, always make sure to take precautions when using this realistic looking blank shooter!

Purchased From:VinzerSports.com.

Pros:

  • In Canada it is one of the few blank guns available for purchase that is not prohibited.

  • Excellent construction, great usage of metal and polymer materials.

  • Well priced for an extremely high quality blank gun.

  • Very compact in every aspect, great for conceal carry purposes (Check your areas laws).

  • Well thought out modern design.

Cons:

  • Not as readily available in Canada, the US and other areas..

  • 9mm P.A.K. Blank ammo is expensive.

  • Limited ammunition capacity.

Comments:

The Zoraki M906 is well thought out, well built, and well priced! What more do I need to say? If you want an extremely compact modern looking blank shooter, then make sure to consider this ATAK Arms 9mm P.A.K. blank gun. It immediately became my favorite gun in my blank collection.
