In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Velocity and Accuracy of the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416 V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle by first placing 5 rounds through my Chronograph and recording the feet per second for each shot and then averaging them out. For the second portion of my Indoor Shooting Performance Test I setup a paper target 30 feet down range followed by shoot 10 rounds back to back to see what the spread or grouping size is. I followed this up with a nice long full auto burst just for fun to see if the grouping still remains nice and tight.
For my Velocity test I used .25 grain Plastic Airsoft BB’s rather than the normally tested .20 in the claimed fps of over 366 fps so I was expecting to get a little bit lower velocity results. I did manage to average right around 304 fps with all shots fairly consistently with the slowest being 302 fps and the fastest hitting 305 fps.
I then setup my brand new paper target and using a rested and seated shooting position from 30 feet back I placed my first 10 rounds into the target. The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416 V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle did shoot a little bit low close to the bottom of the rings but not as low as when I tested the Heckler & Koch HK416C version, I am sure some hop-up adjustment will get this closer to the mark. I did mange to get a really tight 10 round grouping of close to half an inch with most of the BB’s hitting one o top of the other I would ahed to say this is the best 30 foot accuracy results I have gotten from any Airsoft rifle to date! Full auto was as predicted, lots of fun with a nice hole in the paper/cardboard leaving about a 2 inch opening.
The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416 V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle performed really well for me and as already mentioned is crazy accurate. It had a slightly lower fps than the Heckler & Koch HK416C version which was a bit of a surprise but at 304 fps using .25 gram Airsoft BB’s this is about perfect for close quarters shooting adn even out to medium distances. Make sure not checkout all of our Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch over in the Replica Airguns Canada Online Store.

For the second portion of my Indoor Shooting Performance Test I setup a paper target 30 feet away and then shoot 10 rounds back to back to see what the spread or grouping size is. I follow this up with a full auto burst just for fun to see if the grouping still remains nice and tight.
For my Velocity test I used .25 grain Plastic Airsoft BB’s rather than the .20 in the claimed fps over 366 fps so I was expecting to get a little bit slower results. I did manage to average right around 325.5 fps with all shots consistently hitting either 325 or 326 fps so super consistent.
I then setup my brand new paper target and using a rested and seated shooting position from 30 feet back I placed my first 10 rounds into the target. This is when I discovered the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle liked to shoot fairly low even when using the raised elevation option on the rear sight. Because of this I had to aim a little bit higher on the paper target to place shoots more centered. Once I figure out my aim point I did mange to get a fairly tight 10 round grouping of close to an inch with a couple of stagers pushing it out to 2 inches. Full auto was as predicted, lots of fun with a nice hole in the paper/cardboard leaving about a 3.5 inch opening.
The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle performed well for me once I figured out that it liked to shoot rather low. I would suggest placing a bit of a spacer or riser under the rear sight to bring up the barrel at least for closer in shots where hop-up may not ark the Airsoft BB enough at that point. Other than that the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle had super consistent performance in terms of both FPS and accuracy.

Build Quality: The Build quality on the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416 V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle looks to be really good, there are lots of quality metal parts throughout this Airsoft Rifle including the top and bottom receiver, rails, parts of the sights, flash hider, magazine, charging handle, selector switch, magazine release, forward assist, dust cover, buffet tube and trigger. The Umarex VFC H&K AEG Airsoft product line is going to be on the higher end of the price spectrum for sure but you are getting a really quality product here fully H&K licensed. The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416 V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle has a really nice form factor allowing for a full size rear adjustable stock which will make your shooting position a lot more comfortable while still allowing for a rather compact form factor overall. I look forward to seeing how well the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle performs in my upcoming Field Test Shooting Video.

Realism: The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle is a 1 to 1 scale fully licensed replica of the real steel HK 416 compact CQB styled rifles but in an even more compact design I believe specifically only found in Airsoft versions as I was not able to find the exact same model on the H&K Website. That said most part work in the same manner as you would find on the real steel version including the Charging Handle, Forward Assist, Bolt Release, Magazine Release, Selector Switch and Pop-up sights.

The Umarex VFC H&K AEG Airsoft product line is going to be on the higher end of the price spectrum for sure but you are getting a really quality product here fully H&K licensed. The Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle is perhaps one of my favorites as I like more simplistic and minimalist styles of guns and this one for sure fits into that category. Even though it is small in nature it is super solid and heavier then it looks for sure when you pick it up with all the metal parts making up its build quality. I look forward to seeing how well the Umarex VFC Heckler & Koch HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle performs in my upcoming Field Test Shooting Video.
My Vimeo Table Top Review for the Umarex VFC HK416C V2 AEG Airsoft Rifle:
In this video I show you four Premium AEG Airsoft Rifles made by VFC and distributed and H&K Licensed by Umarex. This is not a detailed review but rather I focus on the basic specification and show my reaction as I take my first look at all four Umarex H&K AEG Airsoft Rifles. I do show off some close up photos so you can get an idea on the finish and what some of the components look like.
This Vimeo Unboxing Preview Video focuses on two AR M4 styled AEG Airsoft Rifles. The G&G CM16 Rifles are all pretty much the same other than the barrel lengths and come in the following versions, the CM16 SRS, CM16 SRL and CM16 SRXL. I also showcase the Umarex HK M27 which is distributed by Umarex but made by VFC which is knwo for their high quality products. I will be following up this Preview Unboxing Video with individual more detailed Review videos for each AEG AR M4 rifle.
Action: Semi auto, single & double action with full blowback.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 25 round full size drop out metal magazine.
FPS: 366+ with extended barrel.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is surprisingly light in single action mode, there is also minimal takeup. When shooting in double action the trigger pull length is much longer and heavier and has a bit of a stickiness too it but since this is a blowback pistol most of your shooting will be in single action mode where the trigger feels great!
Accuracy: I haven't done a dedicated Field Test Shooting Video yet for the VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol but I did get the chance to play around with it when I did my I.C.U. 2.0 HD Action Camera review. In terms of power and accuracy it feels pretty good and you can expect to get decent power and accuracy out of it, we will have to wait and see how it performs on paper targets and when tested on the Chrony.
Build Quality: The VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is well made overall, I have found pretty much all the VFC airguns I have gotten my hands on seem to be well made and very realistic. you will find metal parts where they would be on the real Steel version of this pistol and same goes for plastic parts like the frame in this case. The finish seems to be holding up nicely too for me.
Realism: VFC really seams to pay a lot of attention to every detail of their Airsoft guns and the VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is no exception. All the mechanical working parts on this Airsoft version work as they would on the real .45 ACP FN Herstal FNX45, even the extractor is a separate part not moulded into the slide like you would find on most Airsoft pistols. You also get Interchangeable Back Straps to accommodate different hand sizes and of course it's fully FN licensed!
Excellent reproduction of the real steel FN Herstal FNX45 in looks and operation.
Very Crisp Firm full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish.
Everything is Ambidextrous so great for lefties too.
High Rise sighs suitable for the addition of a moc suppressor.
Comes with two interchangeable internal barrel lengths.
Fully field strip-able.
Fully FN Herstal Licensed.
Cons:
Comes with a red tip.
Magazine is kind of shiny
My serial number plate fell off while shooting it so make sure yours is on tight.
Comments:
Like I have mentioned throughout this review, VFC not only makes super realistic Airsoft guns, they also make a really high quality product. The VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is another example of this and offers everything you would hope to expect in an Airsoft Replica! The only down side is the orange tip but that can be sorted out easy enough after you get it. It's definitely not a small gun so keep that in mind when deciding on buying it, overall the VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol is a really nice Airsoft gun at a reasonable price point.
My Vimeo Video Review for the VFC FN Herstal FNX45 Tactical GBB Airsoft Pistol:
Action: Semi & full auto, single action only with full blowback.
Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 16 round full size drop out metal magazine.
FPS: 280+.
Trigger Pull: The Single Action Only trigger pull on the Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol is kind of what I would expect form the real Smith & Wesson M&P 9C, fairly light with a small amount of take-up and creep but still fairly short. And the trigger safety actually works just the same as the real steel Smith & Wesson M&P 9C!
Accuracy: I have already done my dedicated Field Test Shooting Video for the Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol so check out the link here, This very short barreled pistol is not going to win any target shooting contests but it faired well and even shot a bit tighter groupings and higher fps than I expected. Most importantly it worked exactly as it was supposed to without any problems.
Build Quality: The Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol is extremely well built and you will find metal and polymer in pretty much the same places as you would find on a real S&W M&P 9C. Fit and finish and quality of materials seems really good, I am really happy with the work VFC is doing with their guns, at least from what I see here with their Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol.
Realism: The Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol is based on the real steel version Smith & Wesson M&P 9C and I have to say this is one of the most bang on replications of any gun I have seen, you would have to get right up close to tell the difference and only then if you looked at either the magazine or you could see the inner Airsoft barrel. This gun is juts that realistic. There is Smith & Wesson licensing and marking all over this gun and even the white warning instructions on the right side of the slide. Of course this Airsoft Replica Pistol field strips and functions just like the real Smith & Wesson M&P 9C Pistol.
Very good weight and solid feeling gun for being so compact.
Full size drop out metal magazine.
Nice snappy blowback action.
Excellent fit and finish.
Extremely accurate looking and working Smith & Wesson M&P 9C - Fully licensed..
Rear sight is adjustable for windage.
White dot sights for quick target acquisition
Working trigger safety
Fully field strip-able.
Cons:
Comes with an orange tip not required for Canada.
White dot sights need to be install?
Right side slide catch-release is for show only - non-functioning.
Comments:
Overall the Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol as I said is really a wonderful replica in terms of realism in looks and function, I wish all Airsoft guns and Airguns paid this much attention to the details. But more than that, the Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C is really well put together and even though it is small it feels tuff and well made. I could see myself using this exact pistol as a backup gun for some future Airsoft battles :) I hope to have the opportunity to review more guns made by VFS down the road...
My Vimeo Video Review for the Cybergun - VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol:
I filmed this video Field Test Shooting Review of my Cybergun VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol alongside my Cybergun Tanfoglio Gold Custom which I already posted, both guns performed very well for me. I am supper impressed with the realism of the Cybergun VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C and was hopping that the testing would prove this Airsoft pistol to be equally as good of a shooter as it is a looker and I was not let down. It's not going to win any awards for super high fps or tight accuracy but it did a nice job overall and most importantly it worked without any problems whatsoever.
I shot this Cybergun blowback Airsoft pistol using .20 gram Airsoft BB's through my Chrony Chronograph and got just under 300 fps which is not bad for such a compact short barreled GBB Airsoft pistol. I also shot 5 rounds first in semi auto at the target from 20 feet out using a semi rested position (resting on a sand bag up front and kneeling in the back) and the S&W M&P 9C shot a respectable 2 inch grouping. When I switched over to full auto and blasted the last 10 rounds it was pretty much a spray and pray but who cares it was fun and if anyone was standing in front of that they where gonna get hit for sure.
I really like the Cybergun VFC Smith & Wesson M&P 9C GBB Airsoft Pistol , not just because it really looks the part, it also feels solid and well built, everything about it seems to be very high quality and the shooting performance is no letdown either. This may even be one of my favorite Airsoft pistols! Look forward to my upcoming Table Top Review for this very fine Cybergun Airsoft Pistol...
I received some review BB and Airsoft guns and as I often like to do, I made a quick Update Vimeo Video for you. This way I can show them off real quickly so you get at least a bit of a taste of what's in store...
Below are the guns I show you in todays Update Video!
