This is not exclusive to Airguns since trends of Airguns are highly influenced by what type of Real Steel Pistols are popular to people. This is often based on what people see portrayed in movies and TV Series, and also promoted online. There is for sure an overlap in what is popular and it is hard to say what is influencing what? Is it the popularity of Pistols out in the real world that influences what we see being used in the movies and on TV? Or is it what we see in Movies and TV that influences our choices of pistols out in the real world? Perhaps it is a combination of both?
My list is based on my own personal experience and does not represent the entirety of types of Pistol designs available.
In this Field Test Shooting Video I give the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol my usual Indoor Sea Can shooting field test using my Chronograph to see what the average 5 shot velocity is with .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB’s. I then shoot 10 rounds in semi auto at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a seated shooting position with my hands rested on a sand bag up front for stability to find out what the accuracy is in semi auto mode. I follow this up with a full mag demo in full auto to see how large of a spread we get with this gun jumping around. Starting off with my Chronograph test, the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol was able to get a 5 shot average of 392 fps with the fasters round hitting 400 fps and the slowest Airsoft BB recording 387 fps. Again I was using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s and the indoor temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius which is close to 70 degree Fahrenheit for reference so so the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol performed even better than the claimed on the box 380 fps.
Moving on to the accuracy portion of my Field Test Test for the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol, I carefully placed 10 rounds into my fresh paper target and was a bit dissapoitned in the rather spread out group I got. I feel like this is because of the high fps and lighter choice of Airosft BB I used for this test. When shooting a gun with higher fps it is best to use heavier Airsoft BB’s at least when it comes to accuracy as they won’t get that beach ball effect of floating around so much. I did also shoot the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol in Full auto which does rock around a lot because of the heavy blowback recoil and as expected BB’s kind of went all over but if I was shooting at a human sized target from that range I am sure most rounds would have found their intended target.
Overall the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a really nice Airsoft pistol. I love the way it looks and feels to hold in the hand and the blowback operation is very noticeable. It also shoots really hard for an Airsoft Pistol and other than the semi auto accuracy which may be corrected using heavier BB’s, it really does have a lot going for it. I may have to test it out again using heavier Airsoft BB’s to see if this improves accuracy for me at 30 feet out.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is single action only which means you will need to rack the slide to not only draw the hammer back but to also chamber the first round. After that the blowback action will do this for you until you are out of ammo and then the slide will lock back. You can also manually draw the hammer back if a round is already chambered. The trigger itself is really nice, it’s light, super short with a crisp light release perfect for fast action shooting.
Accuracy: At this point I have not made my Field Test Shooting portion of my review for the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol so I really don’t know what to expect? KWC claims an fps of 360 using CO2 as its power source and it is a realistic velocity based on previous Velocity tests with similar KWC Airsoft Guns. In terms of accuracy, again I have no idea since I have not reviewed this version of Desert Eagle before. So stay posted till next week when I make the Field Test Shooting Review for it.
Build Quality: Overall the metal and plastic build quality of the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is good. It is mostly metal with a plastic frame, the real steel version would have an aluminum frame and has a weight closer to 4 pounds total so a bit lighter in terms of weight compared to the powder burning version. The fit and finishes look good.
Realism: The KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is an excellent Replica Airsoft version of the real steel L6 Desert Eagle including the top and bottom rails and the ported front barrel. It also has full blowback action and you can fully field strip it. I like the addition of the fingered grips which I think adds ot the overall looks and function of this Airsoft Pistol.
Pros:
Lots of metal and good overall weight to it.
Very accurate replica of Desert Eagle L6.
Ergonomic rubberized grips.
Semi and full auto selectable.
Adjustable hop-up.
No orange tip.
CO2 for more power over GBB.
Uses standard KWC CO2 Desert Eagle magazines.
Picatinny rail top and bottom for lots of accessory mounting options.
Great light weight single action only trigger with super short take-up.
Cons:
Frame is plastic so compared to real steel version is much lighter.
Non adjustable sights, also all black so may be hard to see on darker targets.
No trademarks since non-licensed version via KWC direct.
Very large gun with large grips so not suitable for smaller handed shooters.
Comments: Going off just the looks and feel for the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol I can say for sure I do like it compared ot the standard KWC Desert Eagle with its venting up front and its ergonomic rubberized grips. I hope when I perform the Field Test Shooting Video fo fit it it performs well as the price point is good at around $200 Canadian and who doesn't want to have a Desert Eagle in their Replica Airgun collection at the end of the day!

In this Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at three new products just listed in our Replica Airguns Store. Two are products from Umarex both being CO2 4.5mm Steel BB and one is a CO2 powered KWC Blowback Airsoft Pistol. I don’t go into a ton of detail in this video but go over what is listed on the box and a quick walk around of each product.
First up I show off the KWC DE L6 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol, it is much like the Cybergun Desert Eagle L6 I reviewed but without the orange tip and with notched pistol grips, also all back which is classic and looks great. This Blowback pistol shoots 6mm Airsoft BB’s at around 360 fps and has a full size dropout metal magazine that holds the CO2 along with 21 rounds.
Next I showcase a rather entry level 4.5mm CO2 BB Pump Action Rifle called the Umarex NXG Pump Shot that is a mostly plastic lighter weight build perfect for smaller or younger shooters. It uses CO2, shoots 4.5mm Steel BB’s and comes with a drop out 10 round rotary magazine. You will have to pump it before each shot but this makes the trigger fairly light.
Lastly but perhaps my favorite in this lineup I take a look at the CO2 4.5mm Blowback Umarex Legends M3 Grease Gun. Just like the real steel .45 caliber Grease Gun it is capable of full auto and also shoots in semi auto. You will find a full size drop out metal magazine that holds two CO2 cartridges along with 60 4.5mm steel BB’s. Thats a lot of rounds!
For this Video 2 Accuracy Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a semi rested shooting position with my hands resting on a sand bag up front and seated on a stool in the back. It’s not perfect but works well enough. I didn’t take a ton of time with each gun since there where 4 to shoot in this Field Test Shooting Video so accuracy may have been a bit better if I took a little more time with each gun.
In Video 2 I test the power and penetration of each Airgun option shooting at a pop can, a soup can and a toilet paper roll so make sure to watch that video if you have not already watched it.
For this Video 1 Power Test I shoot all of the above listed Airguns first at a pop can, then a soup can and then a toilet paper roll. The ides is to test penetration abilities with the pop and soup can and then raw force shooting the toilet paper as it will absorb all the energy from each airgun round and by gauging how much the toilet paper reacts or moves it should tell us which airgun has the most raw power or energy.
In Video 2 I will be testing accuracy using my standard 30 round paper target setup in the Replica Airguns Sea Can so stay posted for that upcoming video shortly…

Starting off with my Chronograph test, the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol was able to get a 6 shot average of 351 fps with the fasters round hitting 359 fps and the slowest Airsoft BB recording 346 fps. The indoor temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius which is close to 70 degree Fahrenheit for reference so with warmer temperatures I would expect velocities up to the claimed 360+ fps.
Moving on to the accuracy portion of my Field Test Test for the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol, I slowly and carefully placed 10 rounds into my fresh paper target and was able to get a nice 2 inch group perhaps even verging on 1.5 inches if I remove one outlier. I was shooting rather low at first so I raised my aim point up a bit, since the sights are not adjustable you might want to adjust your hopup a bit to spin/arc the Airsoft BB up just a bit.
Overall the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is an awesome Airsoft gun to shoot, it really has a lot of blowback action you can feel in your hands probably because of its large overall size, you will need some sizable hands to shoot this Airsoft Pistol as the grips are large and wide just like the real steel version. Performance wise the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol performed as expected and maybe even better than I expected hitting really close to the claimed fps and shooting a nice tight 10 shot grouping for me. If you are a Desert Eagle fan and like the gold bling then this may just be the product for you.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is single action only which means you will need to rack the slide to not only draw the hammer back but to also chamber the first round. Cybergun claims an fps of 368 using green gas or propane but this may be on the high side since green gas generally produces less velocity than CO2. Build Quality: Overall the all metal build quality of the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is good which I would hope to be the case for a higher priced Airsoft Pistol like this. I did however notice under the slide there was a bit of a rough area that I feel could have been sanded or polished out a bit better. Other than that this gun looks amazing and the fact that both the slide and receiver are both metal gives this Airsoft gun good weight and feel.
Realism: The Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol is an excellent Replica Airsoft version of the real steel L6 .50AE Desert Eagle including the top and bottom rails and the ported front barrel. It also has full blowback action and you can fully field strip it. Combine that with an all metal build and it doesn't get any more realistic than that.

Comments: Going off just the looks and feel for the Cybergun Licensed L6 .50AE Desert Eagle GBB Airsoft Pistol I can say it is for sure one of the nicest Desert Eagles I have reviewed to date. I’m not generally a fan of gold guns but I think gold really suits the Desert Eagle since this iconic pistol is known for being over the top. It’s also full metal as compared to the KWC versions so that’s a big plus. I guess it will come down to how well it performs during my Field Test Shooting Video in terms of power and accuracy. If it doesn't let me down here, it may just be worth the nearly $400 piece tag!

I often have people ask me what is more powerful in terms of one gun over another and which Airguns have more raw power, BB versus, Pellet, versus Airsoft, versus Paintball?
Well in this indoor field test shooting video I compare all of the above head to head to see which Airgun not only has the most raw power but also how well they perform on a target setup 30 feet down range since after all what does it matter how powerful a gun is if it can not hit the target!
The Airguns I used in this head to head shooting performance test where as follows:
Keep in mind the ammunition for each Airgun is very different not just in terms of materials but also their weight which will have a big effect on the energy they produce. For example for this test I used 4.6 grain 4.5mm Steel BBs, 4.6 grain 6mm Aluminum Airsoft BB’s. 6.9 grain .177 cal. Lead Pellets and 17.7 grain .50 cal. Rubber Paintballs.

I have been wanting to revisit the Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Cal. CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol for some time and looking back I just released I never did in fact make an accuracy shooting video for it. I did make YouTube Table Top Video and a YouTube Chronograph Video but never an actual Target Accuracy Shooting Video. Well it was time to fix that even though the Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Cal. CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol is now discontinued.
I purchased my Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Cal. CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol around 10 years ago but it has been on the market since I believe 2006 and was the first pellet firing blowback CO2 Air Pistol. It’s a mostly plastic exterior Airgun but still has some good weight to it and compared to today CO2 Blowback Pellets Pistols it actually performs just as well if not even better as my Complete Field Test Shooting Video demonstrates.
In my Velocity and Accuracy test for the Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Cal. CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol I compare it to two other more modern Pellet firing CO2 Blowback Air Pistols to see how it compares 15 years later. My selection to test agains was the Sig Sauer M17 and the Umarex SA10 which I have already done full reviews for so check them out if you re interested inmate info on those two models.
As always I put 5 rounds through my Chronograph to see what the average fps. I used a brand new CO2 along with 6.9 grain lead pellets in all airguns for all of the tests. For my accuracy test in this case I shot 8 rounds (8 round magazines in 2 of the airguns) at a paper target setup 30 feet down range using a rested and seated shooting position for stability.
I usually tell you the result in my written Field Test Shooting Articles but this time I am going to make you watch the video to find out for yourself. Let me just say the Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Cal. CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol did not let me down isn was just as good as I remembered it to be shooting it over 10 years ago.
Type: Airsoft Pistol. Manufacturer:KWC. Model: M1911 Materials: Almost entirely all Metal. Weight: 1.97 pounds (894 grams). Barrel: 4.5 inches, metal non-rifled. Propulsion: 12 gram CO2. Action: Semi auto, single action only with full blowback. Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 14-15 rounds full size drop out metal magazine. FPS: 360+.
Trigger Pull: The Single Action Only trigger pull on the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is exactly as it should be and just like what you would find on a real steel Colt 1911 pistol. That would be short, light and crisp. As there is no double action mode, you are required to rack the slide back to chamber a rounds and cock the hammer for the first shot, afterwards the blowback action will do this for you.
Accuracy: I wasn’t overly impressed with the accuracy of the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol when I tested it out in the Replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Range but it is what it is. The M1911 shot really high and a bit loose getting about a 5 inch 10 shot grouping, perhaps a hop-up adjustment was in order but this is how it shot right out of the box which is how I test all my Airguns. In terms of power the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol was bang on shooting .25 gram Airsoft BB’s at right around 350 fps.
Build Quality: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol like the other all metal KWC made 1911’s out there being sold under different company names, is a good value Blowback 1911 Airgun no matter which version you get. It’s not the best or worst, right about in the middle but most of the bugs have been worked out since this is one of the longes CO2 1911’s out there and for the most part has stayed about the same. I find the finish does come off a bit easy but when this happens it kind of gives the 1911 Airgun a more realistic and slightly worn in look to it.
Realism: The KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is a One to One replica of the real steel M1911 A1 and does a great job at replicating it. You would be hard pressed to see any differences in the Airgun version and the .45 caliber firing version until you pick one up and work the parts a bit, even so pretty much all the mechanical parts work the same as a real steel M1911 A1 including the ability to filed strip the Airgun version and gain access to the hop-up and other internal parts.
Pros:
All metal construction.
Full length blowback action with nice heavy recoil.
Accurate Colt M1911 A1 replica.
Single action only trigger feels good, short light and crips.
Accurate trigger design and working grip safety.
Metal magazine holds the CO2 and 14-15 Airsoft BB’s.
No ugly white writing (warning instructions) on the slide of the gun.
Fully filed strippable.
Adjustable Hop-up.
Recessed barrel for added realism.
FPS is just about perfect, just over 360 fps using .20 gram BB’s, not too powerful but Canada import friendly.
Cons:
Finish on KWC guns can wear off quickly in the high spots but has gotten better over the years.
Full blowback action will eat up a lot of CO2.
Comments: I have always been a fan of the 1911 pistol and the KWC M1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is no exception to this. Like all of the KWC 1911’s out there being redistributed by the big airgun companies the KWC version is really no different other than more simple KWC branding and with no licensing on the Airgun to speak of. Some people prefer the cleaner look to it and some will like to have licensed versions, to each their own. Do some looking around on our website and find a KWC made 1911 you like best, perhaps a simple KWC M1911 A1 like the one reviewed here or maybe a more tactical version with all the more modern updates to it like a rail, ambidextrous controls and tactical triggers and hammers.

Last but now least to show you in this update video is the ASG CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1. This product was developed by ASG in cooperation with CZ and is made to give the Airsoft Player the closest shooting experience they can possibly get to handling and shooting a real CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1!
In this Field Test Shooting video I test out the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol to determine what the real work velocity is and also how well it performs in terms of accuracy. To test velocity I use a my Chrony Chronograph and do my best to get 5 good readings which I then average out. I always use a brand new 12 gram CO2 cartridge and generally use .20 gram plastic Airsoft BB's for my entire Field Testing. To test accuracy I set myself up 30 feet back using a semi rested position, to do this I place a sand bag to rest my hand and gun on and then stand securely in the back while I place 10 rounds on a paper target. There is obviously some humane factor involved but I can usually get a good idea on how accurate a given gun is.
During the Velocity or Feet Per Second Chronograph testing, I did manage to get 5 good readings, not all in a row but all within the first 10 or so shots. The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol shot hard and averaged 420fps again using .20 gram Airsoft BB's.
For my accuracy testing, all 10 shots placed within about 3 inches and they where fairly well centered left to right but did shoot a little bit high, this could be corrected using the hop-up adjustment to bring the Airsoft BB's down just a little.
I was rather surprised at how loud the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is, it is by far one of the loudest CO2 Pistols I have shot to date other than the Umarex Desert Eagle Pellet Pistol. The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol also has a lot of blowback kick which makes it a lot of fun to shoot. Don't expect a lot of shots per CO2 since it uses a lot of CO2 per shot but in my books it is worth it for the added blowback recoil.
The KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol may shoot a little bit hot for indoor Airsoft close quarters games but if you plan to use it outdoors at longer ranges it would definitely send Airsoft BB's out to further away targets. You could also pickup a Green Gas Magazine to lower the FPS about 50fps or so which would calm the KJWorks KP-11 down enough for indoor shooting.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJWorks KP-11 1911 is very good since it is modeled after a real steel 1911 which makes it short and crisp with a nice light trigger pull. There is a very slight take-up at the very beginning of the pull but once your get past this the release is crisp and predictable. Since it is not a double action trigger you will need to either rack the slide for your first shot or pull the hammer back if you have already chambered a round.
Accuracy: I have not done my actual Field Test Shooting video review for the KJWorks KP-11 M1911 Airsoft Pistol so I do not have any definitive feedback for you but based on my experiences shooting other KJWorks 1911 styled Airsoft CO2 Pistols I expect it to have great blowback action recoil, a nice trigger and good overall FPS and accuracy. In terms of reliability, KJWorks pistols are solid in this department.
Build Quality: As expected, the KJWorks KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol build quality is exactly like all the other KJWorks Airsoft guns I've tested so far, Build quality for the price point is top notch with tolerances between the moving parts like the slide and frame are extremely tight showing excellent workmanship and machining from KJWorks. The finish is always a step above other similar styled Airsoft and BB guns, youn really don't have to worry about the finish coming of as easy.
Realism: The KJWorks CO2 KP-11 Hi-Capa 1911 Blowback Airsoft Pistol copies the real steel very popular even today Colt 1911 45 caliber pistol, it can be field stripped very similarly to a real 1911 Semi Auto pistol and all parts function virtually the same including a working safety, grip safety, slide catch-release, magazine release and hammer. This Hi-Capa version has a more tactical look with a wider frame for what would be a double stack hi capacity styled magazine.
Has really good weight but not too heavy since it has a polymer frame..
Expect to have typical KJWorks crisp and firm full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish. I like the mat textured finish which looks to bed super durable.
Nice bright white dot sights, really easy to see.
I like the look of the tactical hammer and trigger.
Nice high capacity magazine with a little extra zing for the CO2 Mag.
Fully field strip-able.
Cons:
Is not really setup up for left handers with no real ambidextrous components.
CO2 magazine is long to accommodate the 12 gram CO2.
Grips may be a bit thick for smaller hands.
Comments:
I love 1911 pistols and enjoy shooting them, there is something about how they feel in the hand that is different form most other pistols. They always feel so solid. The KJWorks Airsoft versions capture that feeling exactly and again the little bit more you may pay for a KJWorks 1911 over some other lesser quality Full blowback 1911's is worth the cost in my books. This Hi-Capa 1911 version with it's tactical look and finish would make a great game player for sure!

Since I pretty much took my Cybergun KWC Desert Eagle .50AE CO2 Airsoft Pistol right out of the box and started shooting I did not have the chance to set the hop-up or even figure out exactly where it was shooting and as I found out it was shooting rather high and the .20 gram BB's may have been a bit light since they seemed to spray all over. Either way I did manage to hit a few targets after eating up all the CO2 and shooting off two full mags of Airsoft Ammo...
Materials: Plastic main body with some metal parts.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Daisy Powerline Model 400 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is single action only and has about a medium pull to it, not the lightest single action trigger I have shot by far but not too heavy by any means. There is some initial take-up with a noticeable release point.

When performing my usual 30 foot out paper target shooting performance test I was able to get about a 2 inch 10 shot grouping using a semi rested stance. This pistol did shoot rather on the high side so you will have to aim low as the sights are non-adjustable. In terms of velocity I was able to get fairly consistent 350fps performance using a brand new CO2, this is pretty good considering this is a 20 year old pistol and may have been one of the first blowback airguns to hit the market. The Daisy Powerline Model 400 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol was a bit of a CO2 hog only getting around 50 shots out of one 12 gram CO2.
Build Quality: The Daisy Powerline Model 400 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is a mainly all metal airgun but it is solid and well built, The plastics used long ago in my opinion are superior in terms of longevity to today plastics. Being a Japan built gun is also a plus and you will find metal parts where they need to be as in the hammer, trigger, barrel, safety and many other internal parts. Keep my used pistol is over 20 years old and still looks and works like new.
Realism: The Daisy Powerline Model 400 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is an obvious replica of a Desert Eagle Semi Auto Pistol, there are no licensed markings but there is no doubt what this gun is intended to look like. In terms of size and overall appearance it is a good copy of a real steel Desert Eagle but it does weigh in a lot lighter being made mostly from plastics. Some mechanical parts are moulded into the gun like the safety and slide catch but the blowback operation helps add back to the realism. Of course the top loading 20 round BB magazine is not at all what you would expect to find on the real Desert Eagle, that said it is practical for loading a BB gun.
This Field Test Shooting Video Review focuses on the performance results of the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. I put it through its paces to see what kind of velocity it can achieve as compared to the 400 fps Umarex claims on the packaging. I also perform my standard 10 shot accuracy test from 30 feet back to see how this action pistol groups on paper.
My first portion of the test, the feet per second velocity test I performed using my Chronograph shooting five 5.1 grain standard zinc coated steel BB's with a brand new CO2. The fps for the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol ranged a little from 334 to 358 fps with an average 5 shot reading of 348 feet per second. Keep in mind the temperature was not exactly warm on this day, just a little over 10 Degrees Celsius so I was not anticipating top claimed fps readings so hitting about 50 fps under claimed may be a bout right, I know for sure on a hot summer day I can expect better results.
Next up was the accuracy or shooting portion of this field test shooting review, I performed my standard 30 foot back paper target test using a semi rested stance standing in the back with a sandbag up front to rest my hands on for stability. This position is nice and stable but not perfect so there is always some human factor to take into account. Removing one flyer that was rather high, I was able to get a 3.5 inch grouping from my Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol which is what I would consider about average for a blowback BB shooter, not the best but far from the worst I have shot. I am pretty sure I could do a bit better once I got used to the trigger as it does have a lot more take-up than I am use to with a 1911 and the release is a bit firmer.
A couple of observation when shooting the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. I found the trigger to be noticeably longer and heavier than a standard 1911 but at least it is single action and I would say usable once taking a little time to get accustomed to it. The break point is rather deep and the release can catch you off guard but again putting some rounds through the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol will work much of this out. The Blowback action is not overly heavy but certainly enough to give that recoil effect. I would also suggest only placing 15 rounds in the magazine as the load of the follower spring for a full magazine can play a little havoc with the trigger.
All in all this is a nice 1911 Blowback BB pistol option especially if you are looking for a 1991 that shoots a little harder and gets more shot per CO2 than the KWC/Cybergun 1911's since you can expect fps performance in the mid to high 300's and at least an extra magazine worth of shots per CO2 from the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol is like the original 1911 semi auto pistol a single action only trigger. That said the Colt M45 CQBP SAO trigger is notably longer than a true 1911 trigger would be but still pretty decent overall. There is a fair bit of take up but once you get to the release point the trigger weight is about a medium pull and should allow for pretty fast action shooting with not too much finger fatigue.
Accuracy: I have not shot this "version" of the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol but I have high expectations that it will get much better fps and CO2 efficiency than the similar looking KWC versions out there. 400 fps for a blowback is pretty good and if it can get about 5-6 magazines worth of shots that would be close to double of what a KWC 1911 blowback gets! In terms of accuracy only time will tell when the weather perk sup here a bit and I can get outside and make some shooting videos...
Build Quality: I am very impressed with the build quality for the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol. In many ways it may even be better than the KWC 1911's as it seems to have a much more durable finish and the mechanical parts fit together very snug with virtually no slide wiggle at all. This little rather inexpensive 1911 blowback BB pistol should last you a long time and perform well doing it.
Realism: Up to now I have been almost preferring the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol over the KWC Blowback 1911 series but when it comes to realism the tables turn a little bit in favor of the KWC 1911 version. On first look it is hard to tell them both apart so yes they both look and feel very much like real steel 1911 pistols. Once you get into some more of the mechanical aspects the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol does make some compromises choosing to take away a little bit of the realism in favor of increasing performance. These area are the range of motion of the blowback action. On the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol the slide range is a bit shorter which will save on CO2 usage and the magazine is a stick mag setup which again allows for a more enclosed system again taking advantage of all the CO2 being used. Most of the mechanical parts work as you would expect them to on a real 1911 with the exception of the grip safety. The barrel is even nicely recessed ti make the barrel opening look like a real 45 auto. Lastly the trigger even though it is a true SAO trigger does extend out from the gun a lot more than a true 1911 trigger would.
Build quality and finish seem really good, excellent tolerances.
Nice snappy blowback action with a pretty heavy recoil spring.
Overall Accurate 1911 tactical styled replica in most ways.
Does have a single action only trigger, but is longer than most.
Fully Colt Licensed.
Like the white dot sights, machined hammer, ambidextrous safety and accessory rail.
Cool that the Alan key is built into the handle.
Has a believable recessed barrel.
Finished coating seems to be more durable than the actual KWC versions.
Warning instructions are color matched and not so intrusive.
Cons:
Trigger action is notably longer than a real 1911 trigger but is single action only.

I can never seem to get enough of the Blowback 1911 BB pistols when I have the opportunity to review them. Most of them have been just different reskinned, rebranded and redistributed version of the original KWC 1911 so it was kind of nice to get the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol since it offers that 1911 look with blowback action and from the looks of things it should have improved performance in the shooting department. If you have been after a Blowback 1911 BB pistol but wanted one with some more power and that you can get a decent amount of shots out of a single CO2 then the Umarex Colt M45 CQBP Blowback CO2 BB Pistol may be just what you are looking for.
