Another Unboxing Update Video taking a look at two Rifles and two Revolvers. A shell loading CO2 dual ammo 1875 single action Remington branded Revolver from Crosman, an 1858 single action CO2 BB Revolver from Barra, another Barra product kind of like a Red Ryder BB Riffle but in dual ammo version with a much different loading system called the Barra 1866, and lastly a Cybergun CO2 Airsoft MP40 with a very different magazine setup than I have seen before.
I love making these Mystery Box Unboxing Videos as many of the items inside are actually real mysteries to me, some I may have an idea of but even these items are new to me so it’s fun to open them up and check them all out. In this October 2023 Mystery Box Video I checkout 9 items ranging from AEG Airsoft Rifles to Airsoft , BB and Pellet Pistols. There is even a new Steel BB product from Sig Sauer that is a compact rifle with a 3 round burst option when shooting.
If you are wondering why I am doing another Field Test of a Crosman AR-15 type CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle… Well why not, any excuse to play around with one of these and I will take it. You never know, even though the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is essentially just a re-skinned R1, what if it performs better or worse than the standard R1. I better test it out and find out for myself.
Like all my other Field Test Shooting Videos I test out the Velocity and Accuracy in the Replica Airguns Indoors Sea Can Shooting Range where I can control the temperature, wind and lighting conditions. The goal is to see if the velocity is what the manufacturer claims and what kind of groupings I can get in this case shooting 10 rounds in semi auto and the rest in full auto.
Starting with my velocity test for the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle I shot five 4.5mm Steel BB’s through my Chronograph and was able to average 389 fps. Crosman claims a max fps of 430 which would be best case scenario in what would most likely be fairly warm shooting conditions. During my testing the temperature was not overly warm or cool, right around room temperature so around 20 degrees Celsius (70 ish degrees Fahrenheit) and I was using dual brand new CO2 Cartridges.
Next I tested out the accuracy for the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle first shooting 10 rounds in semi auto and then dumping the rest of the magazine in full auto. Right out of the box using the iron pop-up sights I was able to get all but 1 shot in the Bulls-eye which is about 1 inch in diameter so not only is the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle very accurate but it was really well centered out of the box in my case. Switching over to full auto the grouping spread out as expected more to around 2+ inches and placing a bit lower on the target but this is expected when shooting a blowback Airgun in full auto as it will move around a bit.
I do have to say the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is probably one of the best looking AR’s in the Crosman series of Full Auto BB Rifles and I am happy to report the performance was as expected since I have done several Field Test Shooting Reviews for this series of BB Rifles. No you do not get a red dot with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle but rather more old school iron sights but it really suits this BB Machine Gun and for me it didn’t hurt performance at all!
Type: BB Rifle. Manufacturer: Crosman. Model: R1 Fallen Patriots AR. Materials: Metal & plastic. Weight: 6 pounds (2.7 kilograms). Length: 26.25 / 29.25 inches (Stock closed / extended). Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 dual cartridges. Action: Semi & Full AutoBlowback - single action only. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 25 rounds. FPS: 430fps. Rate of Fire: 1400 rounds per minute in full auto.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is single action only since the charging handle must be pulled back first before you can shoot it. The trigger is short and fairly light as you would expect from an AR type trigger action. The real fun happens with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle when you switch it over to full auto mode and with just one pull and hold of the trigger you empty the 25 round magazine in mere seconds.
Accuracy: I have not Filed Test Reviewed the Fallen Patriot version of the R1 just yet but you checkout my Filed Test Shooting Video for the Crosman R1 Regular Version where I test out it using my Chronograph and I get an average of 385 fps and a nice 30 foot grouping of right around 1 inch in semi out and a decently tight full auto group of about 3-4 inches.
Build Quality: The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle as with all the Crosman AR type BB Machine Guns is well made all around. Weighing in at 6 pounds without any add on accessories it feels solid and well built. There is a lot of metal going on inside and out of this rifle but keep in mind the top and bottom receiver are plastic with metal parts where they need to be like in the internals, pretty much all the working parts are metal, the magazine is full metal, the buffer tub is metal, charging handle, selector switch, magazine release, bolt release, trigger and of course the barrel is metal.
Realism: The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is about as real as you are going to find in a CO2 Blowback AR/M4 styled Airgun. You can even take it apart and split the top and bottom receivers like the real steal version. The blowback action gives you some recoil but more importantly offers a true single action trigger and of course the full auto ability we all want and love. Almost all the working parts work like they would on a real AR/M4 other than the forward assist which is moulded into the receiver.
Pros:
Color scheme is awesome looking.
Super realistic working M4/AR 4.5mm BB Rifle just like the otters Crosman Rifles in this lineup.
Full blowback operation with both semi and full auto shooting, can feel the blowback operation rocking the gun.
Great weight and feel to it.
Almost everything works exactly like the real steel version. (Charging handle, dust cover, bolt release, magazine release, selector switch…)
Duel CO2 full metal drop out magazine that holds the 25 4.5mm steel BB’s as well.
Adjustable and customizable AR butt stock.
Included iron pop-up sights you can add a red dot sight on rail if you want to but looks classic without it..
Lots of rails for mounting additional cool hardware.
Removable flash hider that uses standard threading.
Cons:
Receiver is plastic but well made and does not compromise feel or weight since there is lots of metal throughout this gun.
No red dot included with this version.
Comments:
The Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Blowback CO2 Full Auto BB Rifle is really pretty much the same as the Standard Version Crosman R1 with really only cosmetic color scheme changes. That said these cosmetic changes make it look awesome and in my books this is the nicest looking Crosman AR Series Full Auto BB Gun so far. I even like the fact that it comes with Iron Sights over a Red Dot. Typically I prefer a Red Dot as I find them easier to shoot with but on this version the iron sights really suit it and give it a more classic AR look to it. If you want you can easily add a Red Dot sight so do what every makes you happy.
My Table Top Video of the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun:
In this Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at two full auto BB Machine guns but both very different and both from two separate companies. One is traditionally CO2 operated and the other is AEG operated which is a very new concept for a 4.5mm Steel BB Airgun. I have always wondered why nobody had attempted an AEG 4.5mm Steel BB gun before so here we have the first one to be released…
Starting with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Full Auto CO2 BB Rifle it is essential a re-skinned R1 with a very unique coloration and of course the Fallen Patriots markings on it. The main receiver is a gun metal grey with black and red accents throughout and a purple-blue magazine. It really is stunning to look at and perhaps my favorite Crosman AR series Full Auto BB Gun to date. You do get pop-up Iron sights rather than a red dot which I feel suits this Airgun best and everything else in terms of specifications will be the same as the R1 so check that rifle out for more info.
Now the BARRA 400e is really something new to Steel BB Guns, basically it steals the AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) from what is typically reserved for Airsoft Rifles. I have always wondered why this technology has never been transferred over to 4.5mm Steel BB Airguns? Well now it has with the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG BB Rifle. According to BARRA you can export to get around 410 fps and that should be super consistent since there is no CO2 cool down effect. You can also shoot in semi or full auto and it has a 50 round magazine that comes with a speed loader for easy loading. Another point to mention is that the BARRA 400e is almost all metal and feels really solid.
In this Field Test Shooting Video Review I test out the brand new Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Range Sea Can to see what the actual velocity is along with accuracy. I first test fps using my Chronograph and I perform this test with and without the barrel extension to see how much the additional barrel length will increase velocity. I also shot the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in both semi auto shooting 10 rounds into my paper target setup 30 feet down range and then I perform a full auto 25 round magazine dump to see if the grouping expands or not.
Staring with the velocity test I did use brand new CO2 for this and the temperature was around 20 degrees Celsius or 68 Fahrenheit so not too cold or warm. With the Barrel extension installed I managed to average 418 fps shooting 4 rounds. With the barrel extension removed as expected the velocity did drop a bit down to 373 fps shooting 4 rounds and averaged out.
For my Accuracy Test I placed the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun in semi auto for the first portion and fired 10 shots into the paper target setup 30 feet away, I was using a semi rested shooting position with a sand bag up front to rest the gun on and me sitting on a stool in the back. I did not sight the red dot in and found that out of the box the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun shot down and too the right a fair amount but at least I was able to get most of the shots on the paper target and on camera. The grouping was around 2.5 to 3 inches so not super great but not bad either.
I then flicked the main selector to Full Auto since this is what most people want to see. I also reloaded the magazine with 25 rounds from the onboard hopper and unloaded the full magazine in a second or two. I did aim a bit higher and to the left this time to get the shots closer to the bullseye and I was able to do so with most of the 25 shots all within about 2.5 to 3 inches so not really any difference shooting in semi or full auto at least in terms of accuracy.
As I mention before in my Tabel Top Review for the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun, it is a bit different looking and for me took a bit of getting use to but the good news is that it performs about the same as the other Crosman CO2 Full Auto Blowback BB Rifles in this similar lineup so if you like the look then don’t be afraid to pick one up over on our Canada or US replica Airgun Stores.
Type: BB Rifle. Manufacturer: Crosman. Model: ST-1. Materials: Metal & plastic. Weight: 6.07 pounds (2.75 kilograms). Total Length: 17.75/33 inches (Pistol/Rifle). Barrel Length: 15.5 inches. Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 dual cartridges. Action: Blowback - single action only. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 25 Round/Spring - 300 Round/Hopper. FPS: 480fps. Rate of Fire: 1400 rounds per minute in full auto
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is single action only since the right side charging handle must be cocked first before you can shoot it to engage the action. The trigger is short and fairly light but not overly light. The real fun happens with the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun when you switch it over to full auto mode and with just one pull and hold of the trigger you empty the 25 round magazine in a mere matter of seconds at 1400 rounds per minute.
Accuracy: I have not actually shot this BB Rifle to date but expect it to get similar results to the other Crosman Full Auto BB Machine guns I have already reviewed. I am expecting a bit more velocity with the longer barrel extension installed and would be happy if I was able to get in the mid 400’s. Accuracy should also be about the same with 1 inch semi auto groups from 30 feet out expending a bit when in full auto.
Build Quality: The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is well made all around. Weighing in at 6.07 pounds without any add on accessories other than the included compact Red Dot sight. It feels solid and well built.
Realism: The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is not modeled after any real steel gun I know of. It resembles a futuristic weapon you would see in a SciFi Action Movie or Alien First Person Shooter. I was not a fan of it when it was first released by Crosman but after seeing and holding it in person it is growing on me quickly.
Pros:
Very unique, not like your regular Replica Rifles, very futuristic in design.
Drop out magazine doubles as the 300 round hopper and holds CO2 and BB’s.
Comes with Red Dot Sight and lots of rails for mounting what every you want on it.
Can be either a Pistol or Rifle or a PDW by adding or removing the Barrel Extension and Rear Stock.
Barrel Extension actual lengthens the barrel and should increase fps, not just for show!
Tactile comfortable rubber padding in multiple locations.
Semi auto and full Auto selectable.
Expected higher fps of up to 480.
Cons:
Some people may not like the look? Not like your normal modern rifle.
Front rubber grip comes off really easy at least on mine?
Will require barrel extension for full velocity.
Comments:
The Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun is a brave move by Crosman, I was not expecting something like this from them and when I originally saw it I was not sure if it was a good idea or not but again once seeing it in person and actually holing it I feel a lot better about it. It will for sure appeal to those looking for a futuristic Airgun or wanting something that looks like a gun from a video game or SciFi movie. I also like the versatility you have with the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun being able to configure it how you like either as a Pistol, full on Rifle or PDW style shooter.
My Table Top Video of the Crosman ST-1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto Steel BB Machine Gun:
As the title suggest this a video about a Huge Mystery Box so I am not going to say what’s in it, I can say that their are 4 main products mostly rifles per-say. One is a Futuristic Full Auto BB Rifle, one is a Paintball Shotgun, One is an AEG Airsoft Rifle and one is a Replica Break Barrel Pellet Rifle.
So I have a lot of variety here to show everyone! I did absolutely zero research on any of the products I show in this video since like you I had no real idea what was inside other than how many and that most where rifle based.
Enjoy finding out what new products I will be reviewing over the next month with dedicated Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos.
I have another Full Auto Fun Video this one focusing on 4.5mm Steel BB Versus 6mm Plastic and which one is better in terms of accuracy and shredding power. I perform this super scientific test by shooting obviously in full auto two comparable Steel BB and Plastic Airsoft Rifles at a paper target setup 20 feet away with a magazine as a backer so I can see what the accuracy is like and how much of the paper magazine gets shredded by each ammo being tested.
I have split this video into three separate videos, in video one I compare two similar AR styled rifles, a CO2 powered Blowback 4.5mm BB Rifle to a Gas Blowback 6mm Airsoft Rifle. In video two I compare two AK type Blowback Rifles to each otters, again a CO2 4.5mm Steel BB along with a Gas 6mm Airsoft.
And lastly in Video three I compare my top picks for each category which include a non-Blowback CO2 4.5mm BB Machine gun to an AEG 6mm Airsoft Rifle.

This is Video 2 of the Full Auto Fun 2022 video series where I shoot my Crosman AK1 Duel CO2 Full Auto BB Machine Gun at some water filled cans and a paper gel target just for some good old fun times! In Video 1 which is already posted, I tested out the Crosman A4-P Duel CO2 Full Auto BB Gun. And in Video 3 which I have not posted yet I will be shooting the Air Ordnance SMG .22 which is a PCP powered Full Auto .22 Caliber Pellet Machine Gun to finish this 2022 Full Auto Fun Series off.
In this years 2022 Full Auto Fun Video series I take three Full auto Airguns outside in the yard and have some fun with them shooting at water filled cans and a gel target. I picked two Full Auto CO2 4.5mm Steel BB Guns from Crosman, the A4-P AR-15 Pistol and the AK1 Rifle which is a modernized AK 47. The Crosman A4-P representing my most compact entry with the Crosman AK1 representing my mid size entry even though it is fairly large. I end this series with the Air Ordnance SMG .22 which is a PCP powered Full Auto .22 Caliber Pellet Machine Gun and yes this represents my large or at least most powerful choice for this years 2022 Full Auto Fun Video.
In this video, (Video 1 of the series) I have some Full Auto Fun with the Crosman A4-P, watch and enjoy along with me as I place 100 rounds down range ripping up some water filled cans and putting holes in my gel target.
Yet another Field test Shooting review for the Crosman AR line of CO2 BB Blowback Full Auto Machine Guns. Today I test out the Pistol version or A4-P model. Basically this is the same BB Gun mechanically as all the other Crosman AR’s but with some cosmetic differences which can affect power and accuracy a bit. And that would be a slightly shorter barrel which can reduce velocity and the lack of a but stock for less stability.
As always I first test out the power or velocity for the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun, I always use brand new CO2 and make sure the temperature is not too cold in the Replica Airguns Sea Can. Crosman claims around 400+ fps for the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun and in my Chronograph test I was able to get a 5 shot average of 357 fps. The temperature was not super warm so I would expect on a hot summer day to get closer to 400 fps so pretty close.
I then proceeded to see what kind of accuracy I could get from the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun shooting 10 rounds in semi auto at a paper target setup 30 feet down range. I use a stabilized shooting position with the Airgun resting on a sand bag up front and me sitting on a stool in the back so the lack of a stock was not a huge drawback here. Regular stand up shooting and not being able to shoulder this Airgun as easily will mean a difference for sure. In semi auto mode with 10 rounds I was able to get around a 2 inch group but I would say this BB Machine gun should get closer to a 1 inch grouping as 8 out of the 10 rounds where all within 1 inch of each other so perhaps some human error on my part was at play here. Just for fun I unloaded the last 15 rounds in full auto on the unsuspecting target and as expected the grouping widened to around 4-5 inches.
Personally I prefer the Crosman AR Full Auto BB guns with a rear stock for that added extended shoulder support but the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun will fit much better into a back pack if you want to take it out in the woods for some shooting fun. Not everyone has a proper backyard or indoor range to use! the Crosman A4-P CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun is also one of the coolest looking in this lineup so that has to count for something ;) I wonder what Crosman has planned for their line of Full Auto BB Machine guns now that they have several AR versions and even the AK1. Maybe an MP5 or a SCAR?
In this Preview Unboxing Vimeo Video I take a look at five very different products! A Spring Piston .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol, an Airsoft GBB Pistol, a Compact Crossbow, a full auto CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and a PPC .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle.
First up is the Umarex Ruger Mark IV Spring Piston Pellet Pistol which is a single shot replica pellet pistol that shoots .177 caliber pellets at up to 320 fps using a spring piston break barrel system. The Umarex Ruger Mark IV Spring Piston Pellet Pistol is a target plinker with fully adjustable fiber optic sights and should be a lot of fun to shoot!
Next I take a look at a Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol from Action Army that closely resembles the Ruger Mark IV pistol with perhaps a more compact look. The Action Army AAP-01 GBB Airsoft Pistol is full blowback a full size drop out magazine and fiber optic sights. It also come with a threaded barrel and barrel extension for adding a longer barrel and much suppressor.
Next on my list of new items is the Bear X Desire XL Crossbow which is a 2.2 pound compact bolt shooting crossbow that sports a rail system with included adjustable iron sights that also allow for a red dot if you want to really customize it. The Bear X Desire XL Crossbow has a 60 pound draw and shoots arrows/bolts at up to 175 fps.
Another AR BB Rifle/Pistol from Crosman is the Crosman A4-P Full Auto CO2 BB Pistol which is essentially a pistol version of the AR Platform. If you like the Crosman DPMS SBR, R1, PDW then you will probably also like the Crosman AP-4. Like the others it uses dual CO2’s and shoots 4.5mm Steel BB;s in semi or full auto at 1400 rounds per minute until the 25 round magazine is empty.
Last included in this preview video is the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle. I’m a bit uncertain about this one as I am pretty sure it is the non detuned PAL version that requires a firearms license here in Canada as it shoots at full velocity (.22 caliber pellet at 950 fps). If that’s the case then it will not be available in our Canada Replica Airguns Store but may be available in the US Replica Airguns Store. If it is the detuned version or a detuned version becomes available in Canada then I imagine we will at some point have it in the Canada replica Airguns Store. That said the Air Venturi Avenger Regulated PCP Pellet Rifle uses compressed air and shoots either .177. .22 or .25 caliber pellets using a latch system and rotary magazine.
In this Update Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at 5 products that came across my table and that I have not reviewed so far on the Replica Airguns YouTube channel.
First I show off an HPA tank from Air Venturi that works perfectly for the Sig Sauer MPX and MCX Pellet Rifles allowing for more consistent fps and I would image a higher overall fps? We will find out when I test it out in the replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airgun Range.
13 Oz Aluminum
10 Inches Long
2 Inches Diameter
Integrated Pressure Gauge
Includes Buttstock
CO2 Adaptor Included
3000 PSI Fill
1100 PSI Regulated
Next I take a look at the KJWorks M9A1 GBB Airsoft Pistol, I hover revived the CO2 version before but this version comes with the Gas magazine rather than the CO2 mag for those that prefer gas operated Blowback Airsoft Pistols. Because of the slightly lower FPS the Gas version comes with a barrel extension to make it Canada import friendly.
6mm Airsoft BB’s
Green Gas / Propane
370 fps
25 Round Magazine
2 Pounds
Probably one of the most interesting product I look at in this video at least for me is the EMG JW3 Combat Master GBB Airsoft Pistol. This Airsoft pistol is mainly aluminum with some polymer based off of the 2011 STI and was featured in the 2019 John Wick 3 Film. I’m really looking forward to testing this one out in the Sea Can Replica Airguns Airgun Range!
6mm Airsoft BB’s
Green Gas / Propane
9.4 Inches
366 fps
28 Round Magazine
2.4 Pounds
Moving along to another Air Pistol I finally get my hands on the Crosman P1 which is really just a KWC PT92 4.5mm Blowback CO2 BB Pistol but with Crosman Branding and an included laser. Since I have never shot a PT92 BB Pistol with a laser I will probably make a Field Test Shooting Video to see how well it performs.
4.5 mm Steel BB’s
CO2 x 1
4.2 Inch Barrel
330 fps
19 Round Magazine
2.4 Pounds
Comes with Laser Sight
Last up I take a look at the ASG TAC-6 which is pretty much the exact same ASG TAC-4.5 CO2 Air Rifle I tested a while back but in this case the 6 refers to it being a 6mm Airsoft Rifle rather than a 4.5mm Steel BB Riffle. I am not sure I will do a full Table Top Video since these guns are virtually identical but just in different Ammo types but I hope to get outside and see how well it performs shooting at a bit more distance than the 30 foot indoor range I usually test my Airgun in.
I have been wanting to test out the Crosman Full Auto Quick Reload Magazine for a while now and finally got around to it. The weather was cooperating with me so I went outside for this one and setup a bunch of cameras to make the many many magazine reloads a bit more interesting for my viewers.
The Crosman Full Auto Quick Reload Magazine has a hopper that is said to hold around 300 4.5mm Steel BB’s which I can attest it does in fact hold at least 300 BB’s. The Crosman Full Auto Quick Reload Magazine like their regular Crosman Full Auto Magazines holds two 12 gram CO2 Cartridges, so the question is, will I be able to get through most of the 300 BB’s without reloading the CO2?
Watch my struggle a bit to figure out the exactly how to properly use the Crosman Full Auto Quick Reload Magazine and then quickly eat through 300 or so BB’s blasting pop cans down range!
This is a bit of a different test than my usual Indoor Field Test Shooting Video I make here in the Replica Airguns indoor shooting range. I don’t test the feet per second with my Chronograph, I don’t test how accurate each gun is shooting in semi auto. Instead this Full Auto BB Rifle comparisons is to find out which Full Auto BB rifle has the highest rate of fire and which one stays on target the best shooting 25 rounds in full auto, all in one burst.
The guns I use of this Full Auto BB Rifle Full Auto Rate of Fire and Accuracy Test are:
So here it is, my Field Test Shooting review for the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle. Crosman let me in on their upcoming AK1 BB rifle at SHOT Show this year even though no sample was available at the time but since then I have been eagerly anticipating its arrival!
For this Field Test Shooting Review I test out the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle as I do with all my Airguns by first finding out if the velocity matches up with the claimed fps by the company. I do this by using fresh CO2 in the Airgun and making sure the room temperature is in or around the mid temperatures, in this case just over 20 degrees Celsius or just over 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I follow up my velocity test with an accuracy test shooting 10 rounds at a paper target from 30 feet away using a rested and seated shooting position. With full auto Airguns I like to follow up with some full auto shots in this case I did a full mag dump of 28 round to see how well the BB’s stayed one target.
For my velocity test I placed six 5.1 grain steel BB’s through my Chronograph using a mostly brand new pair of CO2 cartridges. I had shot around 8-10 BB’s before hand to make sure my Red Dot was sighed in close to the bullseye. The shot fps spread was 427 as the fastest and 407 fps for the slowest averaging 415 fps which is fairly close to the maximum fps of 430 claimed by Crosman. I can see the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle easily hitting 430 fps or even over in warmer conditions.
Next I setup a brand new paper target 30 feet downrange and carefully placed 10 rounds into the paper using my Red Dot sight. The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle grouped right around 1.5-2 inches, I’m pretty sure it is capable of getting even sub 1 inch groupings with a little bit of time behind the trigger. I then did a full 28 round magazine dump which the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle unloaded in just under 2 seconds and as expected the groping did spread out a bit more to perhaps 4 inches or so. The grouping did also drop down a little bit compared to the semi auto grouping but this could be from the full auto blowback rocking of the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle.
As kind of expected the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle performed a lot like the other Crosman AR line of Full Auto BB Rifles which is a good thing since so far none of them have let me down. Now we have yet another choice in Full Auto BB Airguns, so if you’ve been waiting for or looking for an AK version this may be your only choice to date in a steel BB Blowback version, that said it is not a bad choice at all!
Type: BB Rifle. Manufacturer: Crosman. Model: AK1. Materials: Metal & plastic. Weight: 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms). Length: 34.5 inches. Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 dual cartridges. Action: Blowback - single action only. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 28 rounds. FPS: 430fps. Rate of Fire: 1400 rounds per minute in full auto
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle is single action only since the charging handle must be cocked first before you can shoot it. The trigger has a little bit of take up with some creep then a nice light release. The real fun happens with the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle when you switch it over to full auto mode and empty the entire 28 round magazine at 1400 rounds per minute which only takes about a second.
Accuracy: I have not made my Field Test Shooting Video just yet for the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle but it is a high priority on my list and will most likely be my next YouTube video that I make so stay posted for that. That said I expect it to perform much like the Crosman AR series of Full Auto BB Rifles so check those video out in the mean time.
Build Quality: The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle is well made all around. Weighing in at 8 pounds without any add on accessories it feels solid and well built. There is a lot of metal going on inside and outside on this rifle but keep in mind the external receiver is plastic with metal parts where they need to be like in the internals, pretty much all the working parts are metal, the charging handle and bolt, the barrel, the swing out buffer tub, the trigger, trigger guard, magazine release and selector lever are all metal along with the rear sight.
Realism: The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle for sure looks the part of an AK but in a more modernized version with its fold out AR compatible adjustable rear stock and quad rail setup. Even the pistol grip can be swapped out for an AK type pistol grip. Most of the mechanical parts work as expected as in the selector lever, charging handle, magazine release and even the rear adjustable and removable sight. the only slight letdown is perhaps not being able to easily field strip the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle similar to the real steel version so no the top dust cover does not pop off allowing access to the internals.
Pros:
Super realistic working AK 4.5mm BB rifle, pretty much the only blowback BB AK Rifle on the market.
Full blowback operation with both semi and full auto shooting, can feel the blowback operation rocking the gun.
Great weight and feel to it at 8 pounds.
Almost everything works exactly like the real steel version. (Charging handle, magazine release, selector switch).
Duel CO2 metal and plastic drop out magazine that holds the 28 4.5mm steel BB’s as well.
AR Compatible 5 position adjustable fold out butt stock.
AK compatible pistol grips.
Rear sight is removable and adjustable for elevation on the fly.
Lots of rails for mounting additional cool hardware.
Removable generic reverse thread flash hider.
Cons:
Receiver is plastic but well made and does not compromise feel or weight since there is lots of metal throughout this gun.
Not field strippable.
Flash hider is not my style but can be swapped out easily.
Comments:
The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle is essentially an AK version fo the Crosman AR Series of Full Auto CO2 powered BB Rifles which is a wonderful thing since there really are not many AK type BB Rifles out there. Even in Airsoft it seems most rifles are based on the AR platform so this is very refreshing. Crosman has had a few years now to perfect the internal operation of their Full Auto BB Rifle lineup so I expect the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle to preform just as well as the other AR versions. Other then not being able to field strip the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle I am extremely pleased with it so far without yet Field Testing it. Keep them coming Crosman!
My Table Top Video of the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifle:
I am super excite to showcase three awesome rifles in this Update Preview Unboxing Video. Two of which are Airsoft and one is a Steel BB shooter, all of which are semi and full auto selectable. In this video I do a bit of an unboxing and preview of each Rifle not going into too much detail as I want to leave most of the information for my Table Top and Filed Test Videos. The main purpose of this video is to let everyone know we have these Rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store now for sale.
I may as well talk about them in the order they appear in my video so lets start with the ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle. The ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle is a mostly metal Electric Airsoft Rifle with realistic electronic blowback operation along with a CNC machined aluminum upper and lower receiver. It comes with a hi-cap 300 round magazine and a Ver 2 Full Metal ICS Split Type Gearbox. The ICS CXP APE AEG Airsoft Rifle weighs in at just under 3kg.
Next I showcase the G&G SMC9 GBB Airsoft Carbine, a unique product that converts the G&G GTP9 pistol into a a semi and full auto Carbine and includes a 50 round extended magazine, there is an even higher capacity drum magazine made for this product! You will find a fold out stock along with a CNC Machined MLOK Rail for additional mounting options.
Last but perhaps one that I have been the most eagerly anticipating is the Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle a twin CO2 Blowback 4.5mm Semi and Full auto AK style BB Rifle, finally a decent AK BB Rifle! The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle has a claimed fps of 430 and shoots 1400 rounds per minute in full auto, very similar to the Crosman DPMS series of AR styled CO2 Blowback Full Auto BB Rifles. The Crosman AK1 CO2 Blowback BB Rifle comes with a 25 round magazine and swing out rear adjustable stock.
