Umarex Makarov BB Pistol Added to the Replica Airguns Store

The semi-automatic Makarov, named after its designer, was introduced into the armed forces of the former Soviet Union in 1951. Later on a number of countries in the Warsaw Pact adopted this model as an ordinance pistol for police and military use. Just like the original, the Umarex Makarov CO2 version has both a Double & Single Action trigger, making it very accurate yet fun to shoot rapid fire. It has all the operating elements along with a movable slide. All the important parts of this sturdily built CO2 pistol are made entirely of metal: frame, slide and exterior operating components.

Custom Polished Two-tone ASG STI Duty One 1911

One of my viewers sent some photos of his custom sanded and polished two-tone ASG STI Duty One 1911. Ken did an awesome job and it makes me want to do the same to mine :)

He started out by sanding off the paint with 500 grit sandpaper and working his way finer right up to 2000 grit and then finishing off with some Meguiar’s NXT Generation metal polish. The results are amazing -  see for yourself!

RAP4 - RAP5 4.5mm BB MP5 Machine Gun Update Review

If you haven't already checked out the main review for the RAP4 - RAP5 BB Machine Gun then make sure to read it also. This "update review" is to cover a few extra things that I didn't include in the main review like a comparison of the RAP5 to my Umarex MP5K PDW and some more video of the RAP5 shooting some cans in full auto and recorded in slow motion.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

I have also had some more time to play around with the RAP5 BB gun and get an idea of how many shots you can expect using the dual 12 gram CO2 adaptor and I also tried putting two BB's inside one shell to see how 42 rounds would work shooting in full auto.

Real Action Paintball RAP4 - RAP5 4.5mm BB MP5 Machine Gun Review

Make sure to also checkout my update video for the RAP4-RAP5 where I compare the RAP5 to my Umarex MP5K PDW and also take out a bunch of cans...

Type: BB machine gun.

Manufacturer: RAP4.

Model: RAP5 (H&K MP5).

Materials: Metal & Polymer.

Weight: 6-7 pounds.

Barrel: 9.5 inches, metal non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 or bulk air.

Action: Semi & full auto, single action.

Ammunition Type: .4.5mm steel BB.

Ammunition Capacity: 21 round magazine.

FPS: 400fps.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Real Action Paintball RAP5 feels kind of like an on/off switch, even though it is not an electronic switch it kind of feels like one a bit and it seems to need some CO2 or Air pressure in order to operate. Once the pressure is there, you can engage the trigger. The trigger is fairly short and nice and light.

Accuracy: I was pretty impressed with the RAP5 BB machine guns overall accuracy. I did not have to play around to much with my Red Dot scope to get it on target and keeping it on target is easy to do in both semi and full auto modes. I was especially impressed with how well it stayed on target in full auto mode. I like the fact that it pumps out BB's very quickly and they go exactly where you want them too go.

Build Quality: I was very impressed with the overall build quality of the RAP5, it has lots of metal parts exactly where they would be metal on the real MP5 giving the RAP4-RAP5 BB machine gun a very solid feel. Even the magazines feel solid and are made with metal. I was bit concerned about how the RAP5 would feed and shoot the BB & casing combination but it really seemed to work well and the combined full auto and ejecting casings makes the RAP5 a total gas to shoot!

Realism: The RAP5 BB machine gun is extremely realistic, you can even mix and match real H&K MP5 accessory parts! The only way you can tell its not the real steel is the small ejection port where the .43 caliber casings fly out, and they really come out with some momentum! Other then that this BB machine gun is very realistic in how it operates, looks and feels.

Purchased From: RAP4 (Real Action Paintball)

Pros:

  • Extremely realistic replica of a real H&K MP5.

  • Lots of metal on this gun.

  • Ejecting casings makes for a realistic experience.

  • Semi and full auto selectable with a nice high rate of fire in full auto.

  • Can customize with actual MP5 add on parts. (stocks, rails, grips)

  • Good accuracy even in full auto mode.

  • Can use either CO2 or bulk-air power sources.

  • Decent 400fps for a full auto machine gun.

Cons:

  • Not a cheap gun!

  • Hunting down the ejected casings can be a bit of a chore but they are not expensive to buy.

  • .43 caliber ejection port on the side is a bit of a giveaway.

  • Would have liked more options of power-sources when purchasing. (Dual 12 gram CO2 adaptor should come standard)

Comments:

When I heard about this BB machine gun, I new I had to have it and mostly because of the way it feeds and ejects the shell casings, much like a real gun! I'm also a big fan of the H&K MP5 styled rifle and PDW version. I was genuinely impressed with everything about this BB shooter; design, quality, realism and shoot-ability and I hope to one day get the RAP4 (M4 styled) version of this gun which uses the same feeding mechanism. If you want the most realistic looking and operating full auto 4.5mm BB machine gun you can get then this is really it.

ISSC MK22 FN SCAR 22LR Rimfire Rifle Review

Type: .22 caliber rifle.

Manufacturer:ISSC.

Model:MK22.

Materials: Metal & Polymer.

Weight: 6.5 pounds.

Barrel: 16 inches, metal rifled.

Propulsion: Gun Powder.

Action: Semi auto, single action.

Ammunition Type: .22LR caliber rimfire.

Ammunition Capacity: 22 round magazine.

FPS: 1,138 - 1255.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ISSC MK22 is fairly short with a bit of noticeable break point in it but overall is pretty light. I get the feeling that this may be a striker based action because of the slight tension before the release.

Accuracy: I put about 300 rounds through the ISSC MK22 and took some time getting used to how it felt and also sighting in the sights on my 4 power scope. Once I felt comfortable I setup a new target and placed a full magazine (22 shots) all with in a 2 inch group from 20 yards out (60 feet). I was in a seated position using and elbow based rest. I was very happy with these results.

Build Quality: To me the ISSC MK22 SCAR clone feels like the real deal, it's not till you load it up and fire off a few rounds that you can even tell you are shooting the .22 caliber rimefire version. The MK22 has a lot of metal parts and the fit and finish is very good. You do have to use quality .22 caliber ammo in this guns for the best results because it can be a bit picky and also make sure to also take a bit of extra time when loading your magazines to ensure the ammo is set well to the back of the magazine. I'm not saying you can't use the cheap box ammo but you will have to be prepared to clear a few rounds from time to time.

Realism: It doesn't get any more real than this, the ISSC MK22 is basically an FN SCAR in a smaller cheaper .22LR caliber. But if you want to spend $3000 on the real thing and several hundred dollars per day at the range in ammo then get the full NATO round firing version. Unfortunately my pocket book does not allow for this and I don't think we can even get the larger caliber versions here in Canada. I also go to an indoor range that allows .22 caliber rifles to be used alongside the pistols which makes getting out and using the ISSC MK22 that much easier.

Purchased From: ???

Pros:

  • One fifth the price of the NATO round firing version to purchase and operate.

  • Mostly metal construction with good usage of polymer in the right places to keep it light.

  • Lots of rails to mount just about any type of accessory you can think of.

  • Nice high capacity 22 round magazine to keep the shoots going.

  • Versatile flip up multi position sights for pistol or rifle based target acquiring.

  • Fully adjustable stock with three length positions and check hight position, can also be folded in.

  • Most bad ass looking .22 caliber rimefire rifle around.

  • Made in Germany

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Not the Cheapest .22LR on the market in this category but well worth the added price tag.

  • Can be a bit picky about which bullet's you use in it and how you load the magazine.

  • The rear stock cheek rest is a bit high when using the pistol sights or a low rise scope, you may need a riser under your scope.

Comments:

As you know, I don't do a lot of actual "real gun" reviews, the ones that use gun powder and shoot lead bullets. I do have a very soft spot for the .22 caliber rifles for a few reasons. Firstly, they are usually more inexpensive to buy and also to shoot as the ammo is only a fraction of the cost of the larger caliber ammo. .22 rimefire guns can also be shot in more areas and at most gun ranges so you are more likely to get better use out of it in the long run. The ISSC MK22 FN SCAR clone is definitely the most impressive .22 caliber tactical styled rifle you can get, at least in Canada and even though it is at the top of the price rang in it's category it is well worth it because it is really a very high quality gun at a reasonable price.

New Crosman M417 M4 Styled Pneumatic Air Rifle

Crosman just made a press announcement for their latest M417 Pneumatic Air Rifle which looks a lot like an M4 assault rifle.

Although it looks like a semi auto, under the hood is a multi-pump pneumatic system that requires pumping between shots, you can pump just a few times or several to get right up to 625 fps with 7.9 grain pellets so I am assuming this one is not coming to the Canadian market in it's current configuration. By the way you can also shoot BB's by loading up to 350 into the BB reservoir located on the side of the receiver, while an 18 round track feeds the BB's for shooting.

Some other interesting points to mention are the adjustable rear stock and windage adjustable, dual aperture (2-position), flip rear sight, and elevation adjustable front sight that can also be removed entirely for alternative sighting like a red dot or scope.

The Crosman M417 - M4 styled pellet and BB rifle uses a polymer stock, receiver and forearm and sports tactical rails for mounting accessories in several locations. MSRP is right around $119.

Here 's to hoping for a Canadianized version some time in the near future...

RAP4 - RAP5 4.5mm BB MP5 Machine Gun Just Arrived

It has been a hell of a past week but I will continue my pursuit of my passion for airguns and blank guns. And to be honest, nobody has really tried to stop me. The events of the past week did dim my spirits a bit but I am feeling a bit more like myself these days partly do to the arrival of a new toy - The RAP4 - RAP5 4.5mm BB shooting semi and full auto PDW.

This RAP5 (made by Real Action Paintball) is a very well made MP5 replica that started life out as a .43 caliber paintball gun, I purchased mine already converted to the 4.5mm steel BB version. If you have the .43 caliber paintball version you can purchase a 4.5mm BB or a 6mm Airsoft barrel conversion kit separately from RAP4. The standard magazine works with either conversion kit but you will need to purchase the shell ejecting plastic adaptors that you place the BB's into and then into the magazine.

The RAP5 I ordered came with a refillable 60 gram CO2 tank that fits on the back and is perfectly concealed by the rear stock. You can also remove the stock and attach a larger HPA or CO2 bottle directly to the RAP5. I did just that today to try it out and the gun worked flawlessly in both semi and full auto mode using my HPA bottle.

I of course will be doing a full review of this very cool shell ejecting BB machine gun shortly and I will show you my custom made shell casing catcher!

ISSC MK22 SCAR 22LR Rimfire On Its Way

As many of you may know, I don't just own a bunch of airguns and blank guns. They are one of my biggest passions but I also have my Restricted Firearms License here in Canada and I own several "Real" hand guns and rifles that I enjoy very much.

I have four .22 caliber rimfire guns and I have another one on its way - the ISSC MK22 SCAR .22LR, you may ask why I need another .22 rimfire? Well similarly to airguns, .22 caliber rimfire guns are relatively cheap to buy and operate compared to their big brother larger caliber versions. So I guess that draws me to them, they are just so fun to shoot and in a guilt-free kind of way. With large caliber guns I tend to head to the range with a preset amount of ammo that I am willing to part with and when it's all gone then it's time to switch over to the .22 calibers and go nuts! And not only that, our .22 caliber rimfire rifles do not have the magazine round restriction like our 5 round restriction on large caliber rifles.

For example, the ISSC MK22 SCAR .22LR that is on it's way costs a fraction of the price of the full on military version at around $650 Canadian, that might sound like a lot but the NATO round firing version goes for about $3000 and as far as I know is not even available in Canada to the average joe like me? And you will be counting ammo with one of these NATO round firing bad boys, at least I know I would be :)

I will be doing a full review of the ISSC MK22 SCAR 22LR so make sure to check it out if this type of gun interests you also.

Here are some of the specifications for you till I get a chance to review this awesome .22 tactical rifle!

  • Caliber: .22LR
  • Overall Length Collapsed: 34.65 in./880 mm
  • Overall Length Full: 36 in./916 mm
  • Overall Width: 2.81 in./71,5mm

  • Rifling Length: 15 in./406mm
  • Number of Grooves 6

Guns for use in TV - Movie - Stage - Internet - Photo

I get a fair bit of interest and questions from people in the TV, Movie, Stage, Internet and Photo business looking for guns they can use in their productions, so I thought I would put together an informative video to show them some options available to them at least here in Canada.

The problem is a lot of times a "Gun Handler" is required, as in many cases real firearms are used and very strict guidelines need to be in place for obvious safety reasons. This is most likely the best option in the case of a Matrix styled movie and an extensive amount of guns are required in the production. What if you only need a few guns and you want to keep your budget and complications to a minimum? Well there are other options and that's where I come in.

Watch this short Promotional Video for more information if you are looking for a simplified and easy solution for your realistic gun use in Movie, Stage, Internet and Photo productions.

Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 Metal Slide CO2 BB Gun Review

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer: Cybergun.

Model:IWI Jericho 941.

Materials: Metal & polymer build.

Weight: 2 pounds.

Barrel: 4.62 inches, brass, non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x1.

Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.

Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.

Ammunition Capacity: 22 rounds

FPS: 443

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the IWI Jericho 941 was about medium to hard but defiantly not the worst air gun I have tested. After you quickly shoot off a full CO2 cartridge you may need a bit of a break to rest your trigger finger but the actual shooting experience is just fine.

Accuracy: Accuracy was pretty good for a double action shooter, I got around a 1.5 inch grouping from a 20 foot away free standing position, shooting just a hair to the left but a bit on the high side. It is a bit unfortunately that the Jericho 941 does not have sight elevation adjustments as it would make a very accurate airgun otherwise. I also put the Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 through my Chrony Chronograph and got very impressive FPS results, actually starting off and staying well above the claimed manufacturers FPS. My 8 shot average on a new CO2 was a very high 488 FPS, again well above Cybergun's claimed 443 FPS.

Build Quality: Very good, the Jericho 941 weights in at about 2 pounds which is a very hefty weight for a medium sized pistol. The build quality and fit and finish is good all around with decent usage of metal in the slide, magazine, outer barrel and trigger.

Realism: The Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 is very close to the look, weight, and feel of the real Israel Weapons Industries Jericho 941! Even though it doesn't have a working slide it definitely looks the part with the Licensed trade marks, cut out ejection port, full size drop out metal magazine and recessed metal barrel.

Available From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Very good weight and solid feeling gun.

  • Metal Slide and metal outer barrel.

  • All metal full size drop out magazine holds CO2 and BB's.

  • Very accurate IWI Jericho 941 replica with licensing and tradmarks.

  • Excellent FPS, well above claimed!

  • Lots of shots per CO2 - close to 100.

  • Good accuracy for a double action BB shooter.

  • Very affordable.

<!-- google_ad_client = "ca-pub-9036472715040282"; /* Replica Airguns Content */ google_ad_slot = "1487049688"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 15; //-->

Cons:

  • Non-blowback and the slide is non-functioning.

  • The hammer is only for show and does not cock back for single action shots.

  • Non adjustable rear sights, a bit of a pity with this rather accurate pistol.

  • Trigger action is bit on the heavy side and gets a bit tiring after lots of shooting.

Comments:

I ordered my Cybergun IWI Jericho 941 with two other Cybergun pistols (The Sigarms GSR and Sig Sauer SP2022), all of them in the lower and more affordable price point, the Jericho 941 is definitely the hardest shooting out of the bunch. For a relatively inexpensive BB gun you get good value for your money, most importantly a very accurate reproduction of the real IWI Jericho 941 firearm! If you want to purchase an air pistol replica that's very hard hitting, accurate, get's lots of shots per CO2, has excellent weight and realism then the Jericho 941 may be the airgun for you?

Baikal (IZH) MP-655K CO2 Pellet and BB Gun Review

Type: Pellet & BB air pistol.

Manufacturer: Baikal.

Model:MP-655K.

Materials: Weapons grade metal slide & polymer frame.

Weight: 1.5 pounds.

Barrel: 4.4 inches, metal-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x 1.

Action: Semi auto, double and single action.

Ammunition Type: .177 caliber lead pellets & 4.5mm steel BB's.

Ammunition Capacity: 8 rounds rotary pellet magazine & 100 round BB hopper.

FPS: 360.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the MP-655K is in the medium range with the single action being a bit lighter due to less cocking effort required. There is some force required to rotate the rotary magazines when shooting both pellets and BB's. It's important to make sure you use pellets that fit the rotary magazine correctly or they may move around and cause the magazine to bind up requiring additional trigger force.

Accuracy: I found the Baikal MP-655K to be a good shooter, this airgun took me some time to get used to however, so make sure to give it some time and also make sure to try an assortment of pellets as they do effect the trigger pull and the trigger pull ultimately effects accuracy. I did get about a 2 inch 8 shot grouping from an unrested 20 foot out position but I know this gun is capable of much better results. BB's also did fairly well in my test results. My Chronograph testing also confirmed that you can expect to get feet per second rating in-between 300 and 360 fps when using both pellets and BB's.

Build Quality: Excellent, like just about all the Baikal products, these guns are built to very high standards. the designs are sometimes unusual but you can count on the quality to be top notch and in most cases there is little to no difference between the materials used in Baikal's real guns and their air guns.

Realism: The Baikal IZH MP-655K is closely based on the real steel Baikal Viking 9mm semi auto pistol, or (Yarygin pistol) the latest Russian standard military-issue side arm. As far is looking and feeling like a real gun, it sure plays the part. Both the air gun version and 9mm version have steel slides and polymer frames.

Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Pros:

  • Very high quality materials.

  • Tuff looking gun, looks and feels more like a real gun then an airgun

  • Unique design, only 100 round BB pistol that I know of.

  • Easy to load BB's, just dump them in and shoot.

  • Can shoot Pellets and BB's.

  • Shoots both in single and double action.

  • Fully adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation.

  • Magazine is easy to load CO2, also has storage for extra BB's.

  • Good for lefties too, ambidextrous safety and magazine release.

  • Made in Russia!

Cons:

  • You wWill have to read manual and get used to this guns operation.

  • A bit hard to load the pellet magazine at first.

  • Trigger is kind of funny and a bit hard on fingers.

Comments:

The Baikal MP-655K Pellet and BB Air pistol is another excellent product from Baikal, it is an extremely unique air gun in that it shoots both pellets with an 8 shot rotary magazine but can also shoot up to 100 BB's with its integrated 100 round BB hopper and special adapted magnetized rotary BB magazine! The quality of this gun is outstanding and there are tons of great features like the rifled barrel, fully adjustable sights, single and double action trigger, moving slide with slide catch, weapons grade materials and of course the ability to shoot both pellets and BB's. You are going to need to take some extra time to fully understand how to best use this air gun but the extra effort is well worth it in the end!

Added the Umarex SA177 Blowback BB Pistol to the Store

After what seemed like an eternity, I finally caved in to popular demand and brought the very Glock-like Umarex SA177 Blowback BB Pistol to the Replica Airguns Store!

I stepped it up a notch and have included not just one but two magazines with every SA177 so you can practice your quick magazine changes and just keep on shooting :) After all, isn't that what you really want to do?

Here 's some more info on the SA177 from Umarex:

The Umarex SA177 BB Repeater is modeled after the popular Glock carry pistol widely used by governmental agencies, and it uses blowback action to simulate a real firearm. The metal slide and integrated accessory rail add to the overall realism of this gun. A drop-out metal magazine houses the CO2 and 19 BBs for the air pistol. The fiber optic sights and ergonomic grips allow for accurate and comfortable shooting at up to 400 fps velocity which is very high for a gun in this price range and with blowback functionality.

  • 4.5mm BB
  • CO2 Powered
  • 19 round metal magazine
  • 400 fps
  • 1.5 pounds
  • 4.1 inch steel non-rifled barrel
  • Double action
  • Blowback
  • Metal slide - polymer frame
  • Tactical Rail Mount
  • Fiber optic sights
  • Comes with two magazines

Cybergun Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms All Metal CO2 BB Gun Review

Type: BB air pistol.

Manufacturer: Cybergun.

Model: GSR SIGARMS.

Materials: Mostly metal build.

Weight: 2.4 pounds.

Barrel: 5.2 inches, brass, non-rifled.

Propulsion: CO2 x1.

Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.

Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.

Ammunition Capacity: 21 rounds

FPS: 397

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms was about medium to hard but I have definitely experienced heavier trigger pulls on some guns. It is nice that the trigger is in the style of a 1911 and not your typical lever styled trigger. This may be one reason why the pull is a bit heavier on the GSR.

Accuracy: Accuracy was decent but not outstanding, I got around a 2.5 inch grouping from a 20 foot away free standing position, shooting just to the left and high on the target. I did find that I was able to zone in a bit better with the Cybergun GSR as I got used to the trigger. I also put the Cybergun Sig Sauer GSR through my Chrony Chronograph and got very close the manufacturers 397 claimed feet per second, actually starting off well above it and settling down to around the 370 FPS mark. My 8 shot average on a new CO2 was actually 422 FPS.

Build Quality: Very good, this is an almost all metal gun with a few exceptions like the hammer, trigger. magazine release, slide catch and the outer barrel. Pretty much everything else is metal including the slide, frame, magazine, and even the grips. The finish is very good and the Cybergun GSR worked flawlessly for me.

Realism: The Cybergun Sig Sauer GSR is very close to the look, weight, and feel of the real GSR Sigarms! Even the 1911 style trigger was used and licensed trademarks on the slide. It would have been nice to have a single action trigger and a working slide to finish off the illusion but overall the GSR is a really nice copy of the real steel Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms firearm.

Available From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Excellent weight and very solid feeling gun.

  • Mostly Metal design.

  • Very Accurate Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms with licensing.

  • Nice high fps results close to manufacturers specifications.

  • Very affordable and good value for the money.

  • Lots of shots per CO2.

  • Nice sights with white dots front and back.

  • Magazine holds both the CO2 and BB's - always nice.

  • Recessed barrel for added realism.

  • True 1911 style trigger even though it is double action only.

Cons:

  • Non-blowback and the slide does not move either.

  • The hammer is only for show and does not cock for single action shots.

  • Non adjustable rear sights.

  • Trigger action is bit on the heavy side.

Comments:

I ordered my Cybergun Sig Sauer GSR Sigarms with two other Cybergun pistols (The Jericho 941 and Sig Sauer SP2022), all of them in the lower and more affordable price point, the GSR is the heaviest out of the bunch, most likely because of the metal frame. For a relatively inexpensive BB gun you get a lot for your money, most importantly a very accurate reproduction of the real GSR Sigarms firearm! If you're a 1911 fan and want to pick up an airgun that won't set you back too much, then the Cybergun GSR would make a great choice with it's heavy weight, full size drop out metal magazine, and true 1911 styled trigger.

Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Metal Slide CO2 BB Gun Review

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: Cybergun.
Model: Sig Sauer SP2022.
Materials: Metal and polymer build.
Weight: 1.7 pounds.
Barrel: 4 inches, brass, non-rifled.
Propulsion: CO2 x1.
Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only.
Ammunition Type: Steel BBs 4.5mm.
Ammunition Capacity: 23 rounds
FPS: 328 (Tested way higher!)
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer SP2028 was much lighter then I expected! As the SP2022 is a double action only pistol, the trigger must first cock the hammer before the hammer can be released, usually requiring additional force. The trigger was a bit long but smooth and light.

Accuracy: Very decent for a low cost short barreled BB shooter, I got just over a 2 inch grouping from a 20 foot away free standing position, shooting just to the left and a bit high. I also put the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Metal Slide version through my Chrony Chronograph and even though the box has a 328 fps rating on it, I got an incredible 8 shot average velocity of 478 fps and no my Chronograph was not broken! I really don't know what to say abut this? Perhaps my gun was an exception or maybe I accidentally got the "powered Version" as one does exist from Cybegun with a higher 426 fps claimed velocity. Or maybe they are all just this way?
Build Quality: Very good, I was extremely pleased with the fit and finish of my Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro! The metal slide and polymer frame along with the all metal full size drop out magazine gave this air pistol a really nice balance and weight to it, I would expect it to be very similar to the real steel as they are both constructed similarly.

Realism: The Cybergun Sig Pro SP2022 is very close to the look, weight, and feel of the real Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro! For a lower cost airgun, I was very impressed with all the detail that it had including the licensing and trademarks throughout the pistol and amazing attention to detail.
Available From: The Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Good weight and very solid feeling gun.
  • Metal slide and all metal full size drop out magazine.
  • Very Accurate licensed Sig Sauer SP2022 replica.
  • Crazy high fps results!
  • Very affordable.
  • Fairly light double action trigger.
  • Magazine holds both the CO2 and BB's - always nice.
  • Recessed barrel for added realism.
  • Good overall accuracy and shots per CO2.

Cons:

  • Non-blowback and the slide does not move either.
  • The hammer is only for show and does not move when firing.
  • Non adjustable rear sights.

Comments:
I ordered my Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro with two other Cybergun pistols (The Jericho 941 and Sigarms GSR), all of them in the lower and more affordable price point, out of all three of them so far I am really liking the SP2022 for a lot of reasons: It just looks really good, it has good weight and feel, for an air pistol in this price range to have a metal slide and full metal drop out magazine is also a welcome change. But most of all mine shot so much harder then expected that I was almost afraid to publish my test results! Even if it shot closer to the claimed fps this gun is well worth it and I would still be very happy and quick to recommend the Cybergun Sig Sauer SP2022 Sig Pro.
