Summer will be over before we know it, so why not get out and shoot some Paintball Pistols on a bunch of random targets in the yard before fall kicks in! I rarely get to use actual Paintballs in my Paintball Guns as I mainly test indoors and so I pretty much have to use Rubber Balls or have to deal with a bunch of clean up afterwards.
So today I grabbed my two newest Umarex T4E Paintball Pistols, the Umarex T4E TR68 and Umarex T4E HK VP9. I of course I loaded them up with their appropriate ammo .68 and .43 caliber Paintballs, and headed outside.
Figuring out how to make the video interesting and get lots of different camera angles can be fun, so I decided to grab my Hover Camera X1 which I think from now on is going to be my new “Camera Man” when I need a camera recoding me as I move around. I also placed my Insta 360 One R and my iVUE Vista Camera glasses in the mix. All being audio recorded with my Comica Vimo C Wireless Lapel Mic so you can actually hear everything clearly.
Seems like a lot of production using all of these recording devices and then having to line up, cut and mix everything together in post. Well you guys are worth it and I’m a bit of a tech junky so it was all kind of fun for me too.
It was a decent day today, not too cold and not raining at least at the time I and ethics video :) I figured with my new Insta60 One R and iVUE Vista cameras it would be a great day to test them out outside shooting with my G&G SMC-9 Full Auto Airsoft Carbine. I like the bak for more regulated Indoor Field Tests, these outside usually clay pigeon shooting videos are a lot more fun and I think a nice break for everyone.
So in this video I have three cameras rolling and switch camera switch back and forth throughout the video to make the experience more immersive. I have cameras setup front and back (Sony RX100 IV in front & Sony HDR-AS15 Back), along with my iVUE camera glasses and my Insta360 One R mounted to the barrel of my G&G SMC-9. All in all I think the video turned out well. It may be time to upgrade my Sony Action Camera as it is probably the oldest camera in my collection and you can see in the video it does not look as good as the other cameras.
Yup, another Camera Video but to be fair without decent cameras and quality microphones the videos would look and sound terrible even if the content was awesome :)
Pretty sure this is the last Camera update for a while now that I have added the Insta360 One R and now the iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses to my arsenal of video recording gear.
I was well overdue for a new pair of Camera Glasses as my PivotHead Recon’s where 7 years old which is surprising that they held up this long and even have fared well in terms of quality compared to what is available even today for HD Camera Glasses. The main problem I had with my aging PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses was mainly battery life related, can’t record video without a good battery!
After a fair amount of online digging I found the iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses, I was hoping to get another pair of Pivothead Camera Glasses but it looks like they are no longer in business… Too bad! iVUE from my research looks to be a decent company with quality products and they were the only company that offered a Camera Glass that was capable of 4k and 1080p 60 frame which is what I was most interested in.
In this video I compare my iVUE Vista Versus my older PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses to see how far the tech has improved over the last 7 years our so, I was a bit surprised at how well my old PivotHead Recon Camera Glasses faired but there are some obvious improvements especially in low light and audio quality when compared to the much newer iVUE Vista 4k Camera Glasses.
The iVUE Vista Camera Glasses are capable of 4k video but only at 24 frames per second which is not smooth enough for action style shooting so I plan to record using 1080p with 60 frames per second frame rate which is what I use with my other cameras when recording video for YouTube.
