Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle Field Test Review

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is one that you are really going to want to take outside and set targets up around 50-60 feet await make it a little more challenging adn I do plan on getting outside with the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle in a bit once the weather gets a bit nicer and have some fun shooting at longer ranges. For now I wanted to at least get out my Indoor Field Test Shooting Video where I can Chronograph the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle and also see what it can do shooting at 30 feet out.

Sig claims the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle to shoot .22 caliber lead pellets at up to 700 fps with a power output of 12 foot pounds. Using 14.5 grain lead pellets I placed 6 rounds though my Chronograph and averaged 585 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 611 fps. Keep in mind there are much lighter lead pellets out there and when it comes to alloy pellets they drop in weight even more so hitting 700 fps with a light grain lead or alloy pellet is very realistic. What about Sigs claimed 12 foot pounds of energy? I did the math and using a 14.5 grain pellet with a maximum velocity of 611 fps, these numbers produce just a hair over 12 foot pounds! Mission accomplished :)

What about accuracy, I have seen a few claims online that the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is not the most accurate Pellet rifle out there and you know what I don’t think that was the absolute intension when Sig thought this one up. After all it is a semi auto high capacity Airgun replica, not a target rifle. I still like to find things out for myself so of course I performed my accuracy test for the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle shooting 10 rounds into a fresh paper target from 30 feet back using a seated and rested shooting position. For this test I was using a red dot scope with a 3x magnifier on it. My first 10 rounds did OK producing just over a 1 inch grouping, not super great but most of the rods (8 of them) all struck the target within about 3/4 of an inch.

At this point decided to empty the rest of the magazine so about 15 rounds on the same target to see if the grouping stayed the same or maybe even speed out a bit. I was a bit surprised to find that my second 15 shot grouping all stayed within the higher 10 shot group again producing about a 3/4 inch grouping with just those two first test outliers? Maybe it was me, maybe it was the pellets, maybe it was the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle? The good news is you have 30 rounds to hit your target so even if a couple of them stray a bit you still got 28 left to get the job done.

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is one of the coolest Air Rifles I have tested and now own, not only is it a great Replica Airgun but it also performs well and can be used for plinking or small pest control. All at even a fraction of the cost of shooting 22LR rounds and that’s not even that expensive compared to 9mm and larger ammo. Let’s hope Sig Sauer makes a detuned Canada version so we can offer it up in our Canada Replica Airguns Store and if you live in the US then checkout the US Store for Sig Sauer buying options.

Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle Table Top Review

Type: Pellet Rifle.
Manufacturer: Sig Sauer ASP
Model: Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP
Materials: Metal and Nylon Fiber build.
Weight: 7.5 Pounds (3.4 kg).
Barrel: 17.5 inch steel rifled.
Propulsion: PCP comes with an 3000 PSI 1100 PSI regulated (206 BAR) tank 213 cc.
Action: Semi auto with internal blowback. Single stage trigger single action trigger.
Ammunition Type: .22 caliber pellets.
Ammunition Capacity: 30 rounds belt fed.
FPS: Claimed up to 700 fps with 12 foot pounds of energy.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is actually pretty light and smooth when you consider the first part of the trigger pull is used to advance the belt fed 30 round magazine. I was expecting more added friction from the belt but this does not seem to be the case. There is some internal blowback action going on but it is only used to cock the internal bolt/striker which does lesson the overall amount of trigger pull required. The trigger pull is fairly short considering all that is going on and it's not overly heavy so quick and predictable action shooting is more than possible with the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle.

Accuracy: So far I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle but I did have the chance to put some rounds down range inside my 40 foot Sea Can and I have to say it shoots really hard, even rocking my metal 22LR Metal Target Trap that I was knocking the cardboard and targets right off of . Sig Sauer claims up to 700 feet per second I have no reason not to believe this. In terms of accuracy, I’m not sure just yet what to think since all I did was shoot standing up unrested just to get some basic sighting adjustments in with my optic sights. We will see how the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle performs when I make my actual Filed Test Shooting Video for it!

Build Quality: The build quality for Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is very good, you can tell Sig Sauer had a lot of hands on in the design and production of this Pellet Shooting Air Rifle! The materials used and fit and finish are top notch and the mechanical function again is really good. I am kind of amazed at how well Sigs belt fed magazine design works in terms of feeding and operation. So far I have not experienced any pellet feeding problems or malfunction of any kind.

Realism: The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is a 1 to 1 replica of the real steel Sig Sauer Virtus Patrol model and looks absolutely the part other than the noticeable PCP tank where a standard stock would normally be. What are you going to do since you really can’t hide even a small PCP tank inside a But Stock? This is just something you will have to overlook in order to get the consistency and power from PCP over CO2 based Airguns. Everything else about the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is pretty much bang on in terms of realism including a fully working ambidextrous selector, magazine release and drop out magazine, charging handle and pop up sights.

Pros:

  • My new best semi auto pellet rifle replica I have seen and shot to date.

  • Excellent replica of the real steel Sig Sauer MCX Virtus (Patrol) with the exception of the PCP tank.

  • Awesome build quality, lots of metal parts and the nylon parts are true to form and very solid.

  • 700 fps and 12 foot pound of energy makes it powerful enough for small pest control.

  • 30 round full size belt fed magazine has super high capacity and works flawlessly.

  • Full PCP Tank will deliver up to 150 shots.

  • Trigger feels good, not too long or to heavy and very consistent feel on every shot.

  • Pop up front and rear sights adjustable for windage and elevation.

  • Lots of possible rail options with add on M-Lok hardware

Cons:

  • Will require a PAL Firearms License in Canada but is considered a Iong gun so not restricted or requiring registration.

  • Internal blowback action does not advance the belt fed magazine but does cock the internal bolt/striker making trigger pull lighter.

  • Pumping up the 213 cc 3000 PSI tank is a workout for sure but does get you 150 consistent shots..

  • The PCP tank is a giveaway when it comes to realism but with the tradeoff of more shot power and consistency.

Comments:

Prior to the release of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle the Sig Sauer MPX .177 Caliber CO2 Powered Pellet Rifle was my favorite pellet based replica rifle since there really was nothing like it out there with a drop out belt fed high capacity magazine. Now with the release of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle I have a new favorite Action Shooting Replica Pellet Rifle and with its additional velocity and power it can even double as a small pest control Airgun. For this reason I’ve set my Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle up with a traditional red dot for close range vermin termination but I’ve also added a 3x magnifier for when those pesky critters think they can outsmart me by keeping their distance. Not so! It’s too bad our Canada gun laws make it so difficult to have an Airgun like the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle if you are not a PAL owner, let’s hope Sig Sauer makes a slightly detuned version for the rest of the Canadian Market at some point.

Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP and ASP Super Target Pellet Gun Preview

I have two new products from Sig Sauer Airgun devision to share with everyone here on the channel. They are both really different but I really like them both. Before I get into it I want to thank Sig Sauer for sending me both of these Airguns.

First up is the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle I showed y at SHOT Show this year. Well now it’s shipping and I have one :) At this time the only version of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle is the 700 fps 12 not popguns version. This version is legal in Canada but you will need an unrestricted Firearms License since it falls under the definition of a non-centered fired long gun in the Canadian Firearms Act. Perhaps Sig Sauer will come out with a detuned version under 500 fps?

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle uses a 13CI-3000PSI tank situated at the rear of the gun as part of the butt stock. You will need some sort of a pump or scuba pressurization system to refill the PCP tank which will get you up to 150 to 200 shots per fill up. The belt fed magazine holds 30 rounds which you can fire as fast as you can pull the semi auto trigger. By the way the trigger pull indexes the belt magazine while the PCP air pressure works the bolt allowing for a fairly smooth trigger pull. You will need to charge the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle before you start shooting.

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle weighs in at 7.5 pounds, has a 17.5 inch barrel and a total length of 37.5 inches.

Next I show off the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Air Pistol modlelded after the Sig Sauer P210 Hadn't gun. The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Pistol only requires 1 pump to get up to full FPS which is claimed bu Sig Sauer to be around 350 fps. I have a feeling that maybe it will shoot just a little bit faster based on my trial test shots. The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Pistol has a full adjustable rear sight with a three stage single action trigger. Out of the box or should I say hard shell case the trigger feels really great. As expected with such a high end Match Grade Target Air Pistol you get real wood grips.

Stay posted for my Full Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos for both of these fine Sig Sauer Airguns.

ASG SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

ASG+Logo+White.jpg

Unfortunately the microphone system I was using for some reason did not record the Lapel Microphones we where record the audio with for this ASG SHOT Show 2020 Interview Video. The Camera we where recording video with did record audio but as there is so much back ground noise going on at large show like this, the audio is far from good. That all said try do you your best to listen to what we are discussing. There are sections where the audio is fairly distinguishable and sections in the video that are not due the proximity of the camera.

Bob from ASG and I go over serval products for ASG at SHOT Show 2020 this year. We first take a look at the new ASG Shadow 2 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. One interesting fact about the new ASG Shadow 2 is that it has an internal Hop-up system that help BB’s travel further out for longer range shooting. The ASG Shadow 2 also has a fully adjustable rear sight making this Blowback CO2 BB Airgun a potentially pretty decent target pistol.

Another new product from ASG we focused on is the Airsoft ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon designed for first responder situations. The ASG B&T USW has an extended rear frame allowing for a non-recipricating red dot sight placement. The ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon has a built in folding stock and you can trick it out with all kinds of add ons to make it your own.

Near the end of the video we took a look at some new ICS Airsoft offerings from ASG.

Air Venturi SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

air-venturi.png

In this SHOT Show Las Vegas 2020 Interview Video Scott takes us through a range of new products from Air Venturi.

Scott and I talk about the Air Venturi TR5 and how it came about to fill the hole the Baikal MP-61 left behind. We also talk a look at some new Air Rifles, a pumper called the Butterfly with a super cool linkage based system that makes pumping a lot easier. A PCP side lever cocking Air Rifle that I’m not even sure has a name yet but will be available in .177 .22 and .25 caliber pellet for around $299 US.

The only Air Venturi replica we looked at is a new Springfield Armory under lever Spring Piston Air rifle modeled after the M1A. Last up Scott went showed us how the Bada Bang targeting system is shaping up and looks to be almost ready for production.

Umarex SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year at SHOT Show 2020 Mark from Umarex had a nice variety of new product to go over with us. Mark first went over the new CO2 Blowback Pellet firing Glock 17 which has a similar magazine and loading system as the Umarex SA10 Pellet Pistol.

We then took a look at another Glock replica, the Glock 18C Full Auto GBB Airsoft pistol with extended magazine, this one is sure to be a lot of fun with its selectable full auto feature and high capacity magazine. Perfect for hammering targets downrange or used as a very capable backup Airsoft pistol in the field.

Probably one of my favorites at the Umarex Booth this year was the Umarex Thompson M1A1 Legends Series CO2 Blowback Machine Gun. And yes it’s full auto capable along with blowback operation and a full size drop metal magazine that holds the CO2 and Steel BB’s. A nice addition to the Legends series of Pistols and Rifles.

Something really different this year for Umarex are the AirJavelin and AirSaber, two arrow firing rifles, the AirJavelin is CO2 powered and more tactical looking but still has more than enough power to shoot medium sized game, great for pest control while the bigger and (480 fps 178 foot pound) more powerful AirSaber is PCP powered and can be used for larger game like deer and wild bore. And it even looks like we will be selling these Arrow firing rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store with no PAL firearms license required!

Velocity Outdoor SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

As always Crosman delivered again this year with some new Airgun products to show us. In this Velocity Outdoors SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview we take a look at three main standouts for me. The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle, the Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and something a lot different, the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster.

The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle is a hybrid of the DPMS SBR and the PDW form past years with a focus on bringing the Crosman name to their own more true to form AR style rifle. You still get interchangeable but stocks and pistol grips if you want to swap them out for a different AR type. The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle has a longer accessory rail with a more traditional muzzle break. The R1 also comes standard with a red dot sight.

Velocity Outdoors also introduced the Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with select fire semi and full auto modes. The Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is essentially a KWC Taurus with the addition of a really nice laser sight.

One little treat that I think will be popular as a fun indroor shooter is the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster. Unlike traditional Nerf guns the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster actually shoots upwards to 130 feet per second and is super accurate with its rifled barrel. The ammo even looks like a 9mm round but not so deadly :) A Big thanks to Phillip from Velocity Outdoor for allowing us they interview him again this year!

Sig Sauer SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year Sig Sauer was showcasing their Airsoft Pistols with a new line called the Proforce series geared towards high end training. Sig has also included new Reflex Red Dot Sights that can be ordered already on the gun or as an add on accessory. The Proforce Pistol line includes both the M17 and M18 series Sig Sauer pistols.

Last year at SHOT Show 2019 Sig had introduced their Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Semi Auto Rifle but it was not ready at that time. Well now the Sig Sauer Virtus is ready to ship and yours truly will be getting one of these bad boys for review! Since the .22 caliber PCP Sig Sauer Virtus shoots around 700 fps with a 12 foot pound energy level you will need a PAL firearms license if you live in Canada but the Sig Sauer Virtus is a considered a “long gun” so no registration will be required in Canada.

Watch my Sig Sauer SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview for more info and cool stuff presented by Stephanie from Sig Sauer.

Umarex Legends Cowboy Rifle Versus Daisy Red Ryder BB Rifle Shooting Comparison

I have not officially done a Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle other than my quick outside shooting test where I simply shot a bunch of rounds at some pop cans just to see how the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle would work for me and it did perform well during that test.

Jumping ahead to a little while later when I went to make my Official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle. I found it was not performing well at all, shooting well under the 410 claimed fps closer to 200 fps which was a surprise since it seemed to do a lot better for me on my previous test. I even changed out the CO2 but still did not get any better results. I racked this up to maybe being a defective gun and so I went about getting my hands on another Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle.

Guess what? Same thing with rifle number two. Very poor fps, again almost half of the claimed rated velocity. So at this point I decided I was goring to make the Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and let the results speak for themselves… I also thought it would be fun to compare it to the Classic 1938 Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun since I figured they would both get similar fps and accuracy and be rather comparable at the end of the day.

I do have to say that the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle did make me eat my words and I am happy it did since I really like the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and wanted it to do well!

Usually I state all there results for My Field Test Shooting Videos here in the written article but I kind of feel it is best if you just watch this one from start to finishes since the video result s did turn out to really surprise me in the end.

Replica Airgun Favorite Picks of 2019

We had a lot of great new Airguns that I reviewed this year at Replica Airguns. Some of them really stood out to me and so I made a video showing my Favorite Replica Airgun Picks of 2019. Of course there where many other Airguns that could has just as easily made this video but I had to draw the line somewhere and pick the ones that in my opinion where the best of 2019. Make sure to watch my Vimeo video where I go into some more details on why I liked each Airgun.

Below is a list of the top Replica Airgun Picks of 2019:

Pellet Rifles:

BB Rifles:

Airsoft Rifles:

Pellet Pistols:

Airsoft Pistols:

Paintball Guns:

Blank Guns:

BB Pistols:

Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle Field Test Review

In a way I have already Field Tested the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, well at least in the Baikal version. The Air Venturi version is pretty much a knock of of the Baikal IZH MP-61 which not only look a lot alike but also performed very similarly for me, checkout my Baikal YouTube Video Review for comparison. All that said we can not get Baikal products here in North America anymore so it’s great that Air Venturi has recreated a very similar product for us to have in Canada and the US.

Moving on to the Field Test Review for the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, I first placed 5 shots through my Chronograph to see if the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle did in fact shoot around 500 fps and in fact I was able to get all 5 shots up and over 500 fps averaging around 513 fps. Still within our Non-regulated firearm laws here in Canada since we where still under the 4.2 foot pound energy limit using 6.9 grain pellets.

When it came to accuracy I would have liked to have tested out the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle over a longer range but in my Sea Can I have a max 30 feet range limit which does give us a decent idea on what to expect for the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle. I again shot 5 rounds using the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle into my paper target since it has a 5 round magazine. I am not the best springer shooter but I think I did OK as I was able tonged a 1 inch grouping from the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, with 4 of the rounds all within a half inch of each other.

As mentioned before when I shot the Baikal IZH MP-61 I was able to get very similar results but I did have an optical scope on the Baikal IZH MP-61 as compared to the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle where I just used the open sights. In my opinion the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle is good value for your money offering a unique design with excellent performance and getting as much power out of a pellet rifle as you can get here in Canada without requiring a firearms license.

Pick one up in our Canada or US Online Replica Airguns stores!

TR5 Pellet Rifle - Schofield No. 3 BB-Pellet Revolver - RG-88 Chrome Blank Pistol Unboxing Preview Video

Here we have three very different products I Unbox and Preview for everyone. A Spring Piston multi-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, a single action BB/Pellet revolver that’s not a Colt! And a really nice looking Semi Auto Blank Pistol in a Chrome finish.

Let’s start with the Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle. I think this is a really well thought out Air Rifle. It’s “almost a Bullpup” in design but it does actually load in front of the trigger just a bit, that said most of the spring piston is behind the trigger setup making it really compact yet with a longer than normal barrel compared to regular Break Barrel Spring Piston Air Rifles. The Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle also has a side lever cocking mechanism along with a 5 round auto indexing magazine which makes it much quicker to cock and reload for fast follow-up shots, again compared to a standard Break Barrel Air Rifle, not to mention no barrel droop! The Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle has a claimed fps of up to 500 so we are getting the max amount of velocity possible for our Canadian laws without making it a regulated firearm and requiring a PAL license. And by the way the Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle does come in both a Lime Green and all Black version just in case you are not a fan of the Lime Green finish I show in this video.

Moving onto the Schofield No. 3 BB/Pellet 6 Shot Revolver Replica, if you like single action revolvers then take a look at the Schofield No. 3 BB/Pellet 6 Shot Revolver Replica. It’s a lot more bulky than a Colt Single Action Revolver and also has that top Break design that makes reloading quick and easy. The version we are selling inner Replica Airgun Online Store is the kit version that comes with 6 BB shells and 6 pellet shells so you can take your pick on ammo types. The barrel is not rifled so Steel BB’s will not hurt the Airgun and since pellets are skirted they do not need a rifled barrel to fly straight and true. You can expect around 445 fps for the Schofield No. 3 BB/Pellet 6 Shot Revolver Replica.

Last up is one of my favorite Blank firing Semi Auto Pistols which I have already full reviews in the all Black version so checkout those Video Reviews for more info on the ROHM RG-88 line of Front Firing 9mm Blank Pistols. All I really wanted to show you guys with the ROHM RG-88 9mm PAK Blank Pistol in Polished Chrome is how awesome it looked with the Polished Chrome finish and that we do have more choices now than we use to have in terms of what finish you can get your ROHM RG-88 in. Personally I like the Polished Chrome finish the best but you can also get it in all Black and Matte Chrome, so you decide which one you like the best.

Umarex T4E HDS Paintball Shotgun and Diana Bandit - Chaser Pellet Pistol Unboxing

In this Unboxing Preview video you really can’t get too much different in terms of product types. First up I showcase the Umarex T4E HDS Double Barrel .68 caliber CO2 Paintball Shotgun. I then take a look at the Diana Bandit PCP and Diana Chaser CO2 Bolt Action Match Grade .177 Caliber Pellet Pistols.

The Umarex T4E HDS Double Barrel .68 caliber CO2 Paintball Shotgun is a two shot short barrelled that could come in handy for CQB engagements but it looks to be designed also as a none lethal home defence weapon since you can load a CO2 without piercing it but when in a bind you simply hit the CO2 screw and it pierces the CO2 activating the gun for instant use. I will have to test this one out to see if it really has enough power to stop an intrude, after all you only get two shots so they better count!

And then we have two Diana Match Grade CO2 Bolt Action Pellet Pistols, both has a similar bolt, sights, barrel and trigger setup but with the Diana Bandit you get a wooden grips, an included 10 shot rotary magazine and it’s PCP powered so you will need a compressor or a pump to use it. The Diana Chaser on the other hand is CO2 powered, has a plastic pistol grip and does not include the 10 shot rotary magazine but you can buy it later on if you get bored loading one round at a time into the breach. I expect both of these pistols to be tack drivers!

The Umarex T4E HDS Double Barrel .68 caliber CO2 Paintball Shotgun is available in both our Canada and US Online Replica Airgun Store while Both Diana Pellet Pistols can only be found in our Canada Store.

What’s going on next week?

I will be away competing in a Body Building Fitness Contest so there will not be any more videos that week.

You may have noticed I have been withering away this past couple of months. This is in preparation for a Fitness Contest I am going into. For a show like this you need to be super lean to be competitive.

I have been competing since 2015 mainly in Men’s Physique and have qualified myself over the years to compete at the National level in Amateur Body Building.

The competition I am going to is the GNC / ALLMAX Canadian National Pro Qualifier in Toronto. If I do really well I can possibly get an IFBB Pro Card. Getting an IFBB Pro Card means I would now be able to compete in Pro Body Building competitions.

In order to win the Pro Card I would need to win my hight class and then win the overalls against the other winners in their hight class.

To date I have come close to winning the IFFB Pro Card but just missed it on two occasions. I am hoping to get the IFBB Pro Card this times around but I know the competition will be very competitive.

Tokyo Marui New Product Preview Unboxing Video

TokyoMaruiLogo.jpg

I though I would feature the fact that we recently added some of the Tokyo Marui product line to our Canada Replica Airguns Store. Tokyo Marui is said to be one of the best Airsoft products on the market and they have been around for a while so they have had time to get it right! As Tokyo Marui is a Japanese based company they are restricted to only being able to use plastic frames and slides but even with this limitation the Tokyo Marui products that I have personally looked at are extremely well made.

In this Tokyo Marui New Product Preview Unboxing Video I take a look at 4 Tokyo Marui models; the Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior .45 1911 Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol, the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R (Direct Optics Ready) GBB Airsoft Pistol, the Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol and lastly the Tokyo Marui VSR-10 Pro Sniper Bolt Action Airsoft Rifle.

Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle Field Test Review

If you have not already watched my Table Top Video Review for the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle than make sure to do so if you are interested in more specifications and details.

I don’t often make many Paintball Review Gun Videos let alone Shooting Videos so this one is a bit different than the norm. Lucky for me I have some .43 caliber Rubber Paintballs that I can use in my Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range so as not to make a mess of things. As per usual I like to use a brand new 12 Gram CO2 Cartridge for my testing and for your reference the temperature was right around room temperature or 21 degree Celsius, 69 degrees Fahrenheit.

First up I generally perform my Chronograph test to see what the real world velocity or fps is for the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle. I shot a short string of rubber rounds through my Chronograph and was able to get a 280 fps average with the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle. This is plenty enough power for the intended target down range to feel the paintball effect without causing too much trauma.

With the remaining 10 rounds in my Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle magazine, I then setup a brand new paper target 30 feet down range and using a rested and seated shooting position and carefully unloaded the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle into the target. I was a bit surprised to see the rounds spread out a fair amount perhaps as much as 10-12 inches but at least half where in the target rings.

I would not recommend the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle as a long range paintball marker but it would be perfect for close quarters ultra realistic simulations. I would like to give actual .43 caliber paintballs a try outside to see if accuracy would be better, maybe the rubber balls grip the barrel a bit too much causing some random and unexpected spinning to occur? Either way the Umarex T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle is a really unique and fun Paintball Gun to shoot, maybe not for everyone but if you want the most realistic Paintball Marker then it would be a great option.

Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle Table Top Review

Type: Paintball Rifle.
Manufacturer: Umarex - T4E.
Model: H&K 416.
Materials: Metal & Polymer.
Weight: 3016 grams (6.65 pounds).
Barrel: Metal smooth bore.
Power Source: 1x12 gram CO2.
Action: Semi-Automatic with internal working bolt blowback action.
Ammo Type: .43 Caliber Paintball or Rubber Ball.
Ammo Capacity: 14 Rounds.
FPS: 330-460?

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle is pretty typical of what you would find on an AR styled rifle. Since the internal bolt cycles with each shot, the trigger is engaged and the Paintball rifle is ready for the next shot with a very light and short single action trigger pull.

Accuracy: So far I have not had the opportunity to test the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle other than placing a few rounds down range into my ammo trap to see how it shot and felt. Without actually shooting rounds through the Chronograph I don’t really know what the fps velocity is going to be but I can say it felt like it was shooting perhaps even over 400 fps? Out of the box the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle was shooting rather low but you can adjust the rear sight for windage and elevation.

Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle is very good since this Paintball gun is made for military and law enforcement training use. You’re going to find high quality metal and polymer where you would normally find them on the real steel version. The bolt carrier is expected to last at least 3000 shots but you do get an extra one included with it.

Realism: The fully licensed Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle is about as realistic as you are going to get in a Paintball Rifle. It’s basically made very similar to a GBB Airsoft Rifle of the same type with a working bolt and pretty much all working parts on it. You can even break the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle down into the lower and upper receiver halves. The bolt blowback action is not super strong but this may be a good thing since CO2 usage will be more efficient allowing for higher fps and more shots per CO2.

Purchase it from the Canada Replica Airguns Store or the US Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Seem to have decent fps, will see when I do my Field Test?

  • Full Size drop out magazine that holds 14 .43 caliber Paintballs and the CO2.

  • Removable 4 position adjustable stock.

  • Removable and adjustable iron sights.

  • Lots of rials for adding accessories.

  • Fully licensed H&K 4116 replica via Umarex.

  • Blowback does give a bit of recoil feedback and allow for a true single action trigger.

  • Very high quality metaled polymer build.

  • Used as a training weapon for military and law enforcement.

  • Comes with extra bolt carrier.

Cons:

  • Very expensive, well over $1000!!

  • Comes with blue hardware but can be swapped out (Pistol grip, But stock, Magazine).

  • Bolt carrier may wear out at around 3000 rounds.

Comments:

If’ you’re looking for the ultimate in Paintball Rifle realism the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle is going to meet that requirement for sure. It will come at a pretty decent cost but you are going to have a very unique Airgun that not many people will own. And as they say you do get what you pay for which is realism, quality and reliability. I look forward to testing out the Umarex T4E T4E HK 416 Training Marker CO2 Paintball Rifle on the Chronograph using some rubber ball ammo, I may even take it outside for some paintball ammo shooting, we will have to see…

Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle Field Test Review

Lots of CO2 BB Rifles getting reviewed these days and that’s kind of awesome, I remember a few years back and we barely had any realistic Replica BB rifles available to us. Now we have an ever increasing list of choices from Historical to Modern.

Todays Field Test Shooting Video focusses on the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle, I have not done my Table Top Video yet for it but I did make a preview video where I show it around a bit and talk about some basic specs. In short the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle is a CO2 powered semi auto 4.5mm Steel BB firing replica of the Springfield Armory M1 Carbine. It holds the CO2 and 15 rounds of Steel BB’s in its full size drop out metal magazine. Available with a plastic or upgraded wood stock.

For the Field Test Shooting part of this review I tested out the power and accuracy of the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle by first shooting 5 rounds through my Chronograph to establish the Feet Per Second velocity. I then placed a fresh paper target 30 feet downrange, while using a rested and seated shooting position I fired off 10 rounds into the target to see how tight of a group I can get with the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle. I used a brand new CO2 along with 5.1 grain 4.5mm Zinc coated Steel BB’s. The temperature was a conservative 22 degrees Celsius or 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

During my Chronograph velocity test I was a bit surprised to only obtain an average of 335 fps from the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle. Air Venturi claims closer to 425 so I am not sure why it was nearly 100 fps lower than claimed but perhaps the CO2 did not pierce as well as it could have, that said 335 fps does get the job done when shooting targets 20-30 feet away.

In terms of accuracy I was very pleased with the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle, it kind of made up for the slower than expected feet per second by getting a sub 1 inch 10 round group and I am not a big fan of peep sights so I was really not expecting these results. Right out of the box the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle shot pretty close to the bullseye, just s slight bit to the left and about 1-2 inches high. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation so that can be taken care of pretty easy.

All in all I really like the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle other than the lower than expected fps which may have been something to do with my rifle? I will have to try a fresh CO2 with it sometime to see if this can be improved but even with the lower velocity the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle performs well hitting what ever you are shooting at with excellent accuracy. The blowback action gives the Air Venturi Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 BB Rifle just enough recoil feel to tap your shoulder a bit and of course give you that nice short and light single action only trigger.

Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun Field Test Review

Make sure to watch my Table Top Video Review for the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun for all the details and specifications. And if you have not already taken a look at the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback BB M4 then watch those video reviews since both guns are very similar internally with some cosmetic differences.

The purpose of my Field Test Shooting Video is to find out how the airgun being reviewed performs in terms of velocity and accuracy, and if the ratings on paper end-up being the same or close to the tested results. Crosman claims the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun is capable of shooting 5.1 grain 4.5mm Steel BB’s at up to 430 fps. When I tested the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun using my Chronograph averaging out 5 shots using a brand new set of CO2 cartridges I averaged 385 fps. Note the temperature in my Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range was not super warm at about 20-22 degrees Celsius or right around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I was able to get 405 fps from the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback BB M4 but I have a feeling the temperate may have been a little bit warmer for the DPMS SBR Testing which does help to increase the fps.

Moving on to the accuracy portion of this Field Test Shooting Review for the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun, I loaded up the 25 round magazine with the maximum amount t it would hold and then placed 10 semi auto shots on my paper target setup 30 feet downrange. I was using a rested and seated shooting position to help minimize human factor. I was a bit surprised that the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun shot a 2.5 inch semi auto 10 shot group since the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback BB M4 was able to get just under 1 inch when I performed the same test.

I then flipped the semi auto selector switch to full auto and dumped the remaining 15 rounds into my paper target in full auto mode and to my surprise the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun actually tightened up it’s grouping a little bit closer to 1.5 inches which is amazing in full auto mode with the airgun rocking around a lot due to the blowback action.

In summary the Crosman Bushmaster MPW CO2 Blowback BB Machine Gun performed a lot like the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback BB M4, just a little bit lower fps perhaps because of the difference in temperature when both of the airguns where tested. In semi auto mode I should have been able to get a tighter grouping, perhaps it was my performance on this day? But in full auto mode I was able to get nearly identical results as I shot with the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback BB M4.

I think it really comes down to which of the Crosman AR type full auto BB rifles you like the look of since both are very capable shooters. Or just get both if you can’t decide :)
