Type: Nerf Type Gun. Manufacturer: Umarex Model:REKT OPSIX. Materials: Mostly plastic build with some internal metal parts. Weight: 11.75 oz (332 grams) with CO2 installed. Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 x1. Action: Single shot double action trigger. Ammunition Type: Nerf type foam darts. Ammunition Capacity: 1 round. Max FPS: NA. Claimed 30% faster and 30% father than standard similar type Nerf spring pistols.
Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is much the same as your standard double action non-blowback BB gun, I’m pretty sure the actual mechanical hammer and trigger mechanism is much the same since the barrel moves in and out just like many of Umarex’s non-blowback CO2 BB pistols. The double action trigger is as expected a bit long but it’s not overly heavy and since this is not a rapid fire gun your trigger finger will not get tired shooting the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher.
Accuracy: I haven’t performed my Field Test Shooting video for the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher and I’m not sure what that is going to entail but I have placed some rounds at targets around 20-25 feet away and for the most part you can easily hit a human sized object in the mid section easily enough. I would not want to shoot much over 30 feet but the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher like other Nerf type guns is mainly for indoor fun.
Build Quality: The REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is built pretty much exactly like other Umarex non-blowback all plastic CO2 BB pistols and that’s a good thing since they are pretty much bullet proof. I would even go on record to say the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is built better or should I say stronger than a Standard Nerf gun in terms of plastic thickness and even the fit and finish is very good.
Realism: One big advantage over most Nerf Guns is that the Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher looks a lot more like a real gun, it’s about the same size, has the same feel and looks a lot like a modern semi auto hand gun other than the bright coloring going on. Ergonomically speaking the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher would make a much better trainer than a Nerf gun and should even fit into standard pistol holsters.
Pros:
No need to work a spring before each shot because of the CO2 power source.
More power and range than a traditional Nerf Gun (30% more).
More realistic looking than most Nerf Guns.
Like an Airsoft Gun but more usable indoors and less chance of injurys.
White dot sights front and back.
Has a working safety.
Uses standard Nerf foam darts.
Picatinny rail underneath for adding accessories.
A great option for having some fun indoors while many of us are shut in our houses.
Cons:
Will require CO2 to operate.
Requires reloading between each shot.
More money than a traditional similar type Nerf pistol.
Comments: The Umarex REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher may be the ideal indoor fun gun right now while we are all staying at home a lot more these days. Sure you could use a standard Nerf Gun but not if you want to be the cool kid (or cool kid stuck in an adults body). I like that the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher is more realistic looking then a traditional Nerf Gun, perhaps the perfect intermediary gun if you want something between a Nerf Gun and an Airsoft Gun? Hopefully we can keep them in stock and get more product for you if need be moving forward.
My Vimeo Table Top Review for the REKT OPSIX CO2 Single Shot Foam Dart Launcher:
I want to thank Drew from Tippmann Armory/Air Ordnance for sending me this unit for review. I have been wanting to get my hands one of these Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Guns for several years now and super glad I happened finally :) I really don’t think there is any airgun out there like it. I am really hoping that we will be able to have this one in both our Canada and US Online Replica Airguns Stores.
So what exactly is the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun? It’s a PCP powered semi/full auto .22 caliber pellet firing Airgun and it is available in a Canada legal version that shoots just under 500 fps allowing it to be classified here in Canada as an unregulated Firearm. Unregulated Firearms do not require a license or registration and do not have to abide by the same rules that regulated firearms have to such as full auto limitations, magazine capacities and size limitations. So in other words if you want a full auto .22 caliber Machine gun here in Canada this is going to be your only option at least for now.
Some other cool features about the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun is the trigger setup, pull it light and quick and you get a single shot, pull and hold using medium force and you get full auto but not at a super high rate of fire. Press and hold the trigger down hard and you get full auto with a much faster rate of fire so you control the rate of fire by how hard you press the trigger down. Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun also has an adjustment to set the maximum rate of full auto fire.
I want to thank David Bitkowski from Rx Target Systems for providing me with this sample unit to share with the Replica Airguns community. This video is only a Preview video as I wanted to get the RX Target System out there before I follow up with my actual Table Top and Shooting Videos for it.
For now here are some of the key points I want to get out to everyone:
Mission: Rx Target Systems are meant to bridge the gap between firearms and airguns. They allow high precision shooting on a reactive, three- dimensional, rugged target that can be carted around in a back pack. What makes Rx Target Systems unique is that it is a system. It is so modular and adaptable with interchangable faceplates and paddles. Rx Target Systems are not going to break or get dented or dissembled on the range as many of the lighter gauged steel targets on the market today vs today’s high powered airguns.
Modular
One base allows interchange of faceplates for different target configurations
One threaded axel allows interchange of paddle from 10 gauge to 3/8 inch-thick paddles
Portable
Mount it on a shelf indoors
Mount it on a sawhorse outdoors
Carry it in a backpack or duffle bag- its 10 pounds
Rugged
Solid steel design
Faceplates from 10 gauge to ¼ inch thick
3-Dimensional
Faceplate is offset from paddles
Clipping the aperture does not guarantee a score
Intentions of target configurations
Standard 1 inch bulls.- represents kill zone of many small game at 30 yards, great for sighting in prior to the hunt. Also is ¼ scale of bull used in rapid fire pistol when shot from 8.3 meters. (25 meters distance/100mm bull)
1.2 inch bulls- represents the 4-10 ring of the NRA 10 meter air rifle target. Gears the shooter to consistently hitting the “black” of that target on paper
AAFTA style- represents common kill zones found in American Airgun Field Target Assosciation using 1.5”, 1”, ¾", ½", and 3/8”.
WFTF style- represents common kill zones found in World Field Target Federation using 15mm, 25mm, and 38mm apertures
10-15- Inspired by customer request, uses 10mm and 15mm apertures. High-Precision shooting.
The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is one that you are really going to want to take outside and set targets up around 50-60 feet await make it a little more challenging adn I do plan on getting outside with the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle in a bit once the weather gets a bit nicer and have some fun shooting at longer ranges. For now I wanted to at least get out my Indoor Field Test Shooting Video where I can Chronograph the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle and also see what it can do shooting at 30 feet out.
Sig claims the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle to shoot .22 caliber lead pellets at up to 700 fps with a power output of 12 foot pounds. Using 14.5 grain lead pellets I placed 6 rounds though my Chronograph and averaged 585 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 611 fps. Keep in mind there are much lighter lead pellets out there and when it comes to alloy pellets they drop in weight even more so hitting 700 fps with a light grain lead or alloy pellet is very realistic. What about Sigs claimed 12 foot pounds of energy? I did the math and using a 14.5 grain pellet with a maximum velocity of 611 fps, these numbers produce just a hair over 12 foot pounds! Mission accomplished :)
What about accuracy, I have seen a few claims online that the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is not the most accurate Pellet rifle out there and you know what I don’t think that was the absolute intension when Sig thought this one up. After all it is a semi auto high capacity Airgun replica, not a target rifle. I still like to find things out for myself so of course I performed my accuracy test for the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle shooting 10 rounds into a fresh paper target from 30 feet back using a seated and rested shooting position. For this test I was using a red dot scope with a 3x magnifier on it. My first 10 rounds did OK producing just over a 1 inch grouping, not super great but most of the rods (8 of them) all struck the target within about 3/4 of an inch.
At this point decided to empty the rest of the magazine so about 15 rounds on the same target to see if the grouping stayed the same or maybe even speed out a bit. I was a bit surprised to find that my second 15 shot grouping all stayed within the higher 10 shot group again producing about a 3/4 inch grouping with just those two first test outliers? Maybe it was me, maybe it was the pellets, maybe it was the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle? The good news is you have 30 rounds to hit your target so even if a couple of them stray a bit you still got 28 left to get the job done.
The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is one of the coolest Air Rifles I have tested and now own, not only is it a great Replica Airgun but it also performs well and can be used for plinking or small pest control. All at even a fraction of the cost of shooting 22LR rounds and that’s not even that expensive compared to 9mm and larger ammo. Let’s hope Sig Sauer makes a detuned Canada version so we can offer it up in our Canada Replica Airguns Store and if you live in the US then checkout the US Store for Sig Sauer buying options.
The expectation is going to be high with the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol since it is called the “Super Target” right! In terms of 350 fps well I guess it’s not really anything to wright home about but for a target pistol this velocity is more than enough. What matters most is consistency of each shot as that can effect the trajectory which in tern will effect the elevation of each shot. At the end of the day with a Target Shooter like the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol what I’m really looking for is consistency.
Let’s start with the Chronograph portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting Review for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. Sig Sauer says I will get around 350 fps and spoiler alert I got exactly 350 fps shooting a 3 shot string. I only shot 3 rounds since all shots where very close together at 353, 347 and 350 fps. Remember what I was saying about consistency, that’s pretty consistent. I was using Sig Sauer Wad Cutter Lead pellets for all of my testing and since the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not a CO2 Airgun room temperature was not a factor.
Moving on to the accuracy portion of my testing for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I was originally going to shoot 10 rounds but decided to go with 5 since between shots I need to open the Airgun, place a pellet in the barrel and then close and cock the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I then need to reset my hand position on the sand bag and place another shot on target. All of this really breaks up the shooting rhythm which makes it a bit harder to be as consistent when compared to simply pressing the trigger between shots. I was shooting 30 feet away from my paper target using a seated and rested shooting position. It’s kind of hard to say exactly how tight my grouping was since the paper ripped a bit but looking back later at the video I am pretty sure all of the shots where pretty much on top of each other getting under a 1/2 inch grouping. The ripping of the paper made it look like the grouping was larger than it was.
Type: Pellet Taget Pistol. Manufacturer: Sig Sauer ASP Model: Sig Sauer ASP Super Target Materials: Metal and Wood build. Weight: 2.1 Pounds (953 grams). Barrel: 7.5 inch steel rifled. Propulsion: Single-shot over-lever single-stroke pneumatic. Action: Single action 2-stage adjustable trigger. Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets. Ammunition Capacity: 1 round. FPS: 350.
Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is fantastic right out of the box. I personally felt no need or desire to tamper with it as the trigger is crazy short and very light. That said if you feel the need to play around with the trigger adjustments you can as the ASP Super Target has a 2-stage adjustable trigger.
Accuracy: So far I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol , I did crack a few free standing shots down range in my Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range and was impressed with not only the trigger feel but how peppy the ASP Super Target felt. Sig claims a 350 fps velocity using lead .177 caliber pellets but I got the feeling they may have been moving faster than that? In terms of accuracy I was not shooting rested so it’s hard to say but I am expecting the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol to be a tac driver for the price that you will pay for one!
Build Quality: The build quality for Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is good, it feels solid and well made, the finish is also good but I did notice a slight casting imperfection on the front sight. I have found with Italian made Airguns they can sometimes have a few finishing flaws but overall they are mechanically very well made which is more important at the end of the day, but still for just under $500 Canadian I think this Precision Target Air Pistol should be near perfect!
Realism: The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is designed after the Sig Sauer P210 9mm Pistol with some liberties taken to accommodate the single-stroke pneumatic internal pump and reservoir. For this reason it is not exactly a 1 to 1 scale replica of the Sig Sauer P210 but it is fully Sig Sauer licensed and looks close enough for what it is at the end of the day.
Pros:
Pretty much all metal and wood construction.
Fully adjustable rear sight as you would expect from a precision target pistol like this one.
Light 18 pound single-stroke cocking effect.
Sig Sauer Lisenced.
Made in Italy.
Comes in a nice hard shell Sig branded case.
Single action trigger is fully adjustable and feels amazing.
Claimed fps of 350 felt to me to be conservative, maybe we will see a little bit more out of the ASP Super Target?
Ambidextrous design suitable for left and right handers.
Cons:
A bit on the expensive side so it may be out of budget for some.
Not a true replica which is kind of expected as this is not a CO2 based airgun.
I found loading pellets in the barrel a bit tuff as it is recessed and harder for large fingers to access but loading got better as I used it.
Comments:
The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not going to be for everyone as it is on the high end and out of the price range of most. If you do have the budget for a high quality Precision Target Air Pistol and you are wanting it to look more like a traditional Real Steel Gun rather than an Air Target Pistol, then The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is probably the most authentic looking option out there. I am really hoping it performs amazing during my Field Test Shooting Review so we can all justify the kind of up there price point.
My Table Top Review of the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol:
Type: Pellet Rifle. Manufacturer: Sig Sauer ASP Model: Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP Materials: Metal and Nylon Fiber build. Weight: 7.5 Pounds (3.4 kg). Barrel: 17.5 inch steel rifled. Propulsion: PCP comes with an 3000 PSI 1100 PSI regulated (206 BAR) tank 213 cc. Action: Semi auto with internal blowback. Single stage trigger single action trigger. Ammunition Type: .22 caliber pellets. Ammunition Capacity: 30 rounds belt fed. FPS: Claimed up to 700 fps with 12 foot pounds of energy.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is actually pretty light and smooth when you consider the first part of the trigger pull is used to advance the belt fed 30 round magazine. I was expecting more added friction from the belt but this does not seem to be the case. There is some internal blowback action going on but it is only used to cock the internal bolt/striker which does lesson the overall amount of trigger pull required. The trigger pull is fairly short considering all that is going on and it's not overly heavy so quick and predictable action shooting is more than possible with the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle.
Accuracy: So far I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle but I did have the chance to put some rounds down range inside my 40 foot Sea Can and I have to say it shoots really hard, even rocking my metal 22LR Metal Target Trap that I was knocking the cardboard and targets right off of . Sig Sauer claims up to 700 feet per second I have no reason not to believe this. In terms of accuracy, I’m not sure just yet what to think since all I did was shoot standing up unrested just to get some basic sighting adjustments in with my optic sights. We will see how the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle performs when I make my actual Filed Test Shooting Video for it!
Build Quality: The build quality for Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is very good, you can tell Sig Sauer had a lot of hands on in the design and production of this Pellet Shooting Air Rifle! The materials used and fit and finish are top notch and the mechanical function again is really good. I am kind of amazed at how well Sigs belt fed magazine design works in terms of feeding and operation. So far I have not experienced any pellet feeding problems or malfunction of any kind.
Realism: The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is a 1 to 1 replica of the real steel Sig Sauer Virtus Patrol model and looks absolutely the part other than the noticeable PCP tank where a standard stock would normally be. What are you going to do since you really can’t hide even a small PCP tank inside a But Stock? This is just something you will have to overlook in order to get the consistency and power from PCP over CO2 based Airguns. Everything else about the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle is pretty much bang on in terms of realism including a fully working ambidextrous selector, magazine release and drop out magazine, charging handle and pop up sights.
Pros:
My new best semi auto pellet rifle replica I have seen and shot to date.
Excellent replica of the real steel Sig Sauer MCX Virtus (Patrol) with the exception of the PCP tank.
Awesome build quality, lots of metal parts and the nylon parts are true to form and very solid.
700 fps and 12 foot pound of energy makes it powerful enough for small pest control.
30 round full size belt fed magazine has super high capacity and works flawlessly.
Full PCP Tank will deliver up to 150 shots.
Trigger feels good, not too long or to heavy and very consistent feel on every shot.
Pop up front and rear sights adjustable for windage and elevation.
Lots of possible rail options with add on M-Lok hardware
Cons:
Will require a PAL Firearms License in Canada but is considered a Iong gun so not restricted or requiring registration.
Internal blowback action does not advance the belt fed magazine but does cock the internal bolt/striker making trigger pull lighter.
Pumping up the 213 cc 3000 PSI tank is a workout for sure but does get you 150 consistent shots..
The PCP tank is a giveaway when it comes to realism but with the tradeoff of more shot power and consistency.
Comments:
Prior to the release of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle the Sig Sauer MPX .177 Caliber CO2 Powered Pellet Rifle was my favorite pellet based replica rifle since there really was nothing like it out there with a drop out belt fed high capacity magazine. Now with the release of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle I have a new favorite Action Shooting Replica Pellet Rifle and with its additional velocity and power it can even double as a small pest control Airgun. For this reason I’ve set my Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle up with a traditional red dot for close range vermin termination but I’ve also added a 3x magnifier for when those pesky critters think they can outsmart me by keeping their distance. Not so! It’s too bad our Canada gun laws make it so difficult to have an Airgun like the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle if you are not a PAL owner, let’s hope Sig Sauer makes a slightly detuned version for the rest of the Canadian Market at some point.
My Table Top Review of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP .22 Caliber Pellet Rifle:
I have two new products from Sig Sauer Airgun devision to share with everyone here on the channel. They are both really different but I really like them both. Before I get into it I want to thank Sig Sauer for sending me both of these Airguns.
First up is the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle I showed y at SHOT Show this year. Well now it’s shipping and I have one :) At this time the only version of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle is the 700 fps 12 not popguns version. This version is legal in Canada but you will need an unrestricted Firearms License since it falls under the definition of a non-centered fired long gun in the Canadian Firearms Act. Perhaps Sig Sauer will come out with a detuned version under 500 fps?
The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle uses a 13CI-3000PSI tank situated at the rear of the gun as part of the butt stock. You will need some sort of a pump or scuba pressurization system to refill the PCP tank which will get you up to 150 to 200 shots per fill up. The belt fed magazine holds 30 rounds which you can fire as fast as you can pull the semi auto trigger. By the way the trigger pull indexes the belt magazine while the PCP air pressure works the bolt allowing for a fairly smooth trigger pull. You will need to charge the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle before you start shooting.
The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle weighs in at 7.5 pounds, has a 17.5 inch barrel and a total length of 37.5 inches.
Type: BB air pistol. Manufacturer:KWC. Model: KWC M40 NBB. Materials: Mostly plastic with some metal. Weight: 1.14 pounds (515 grams). Barrel: 3.5 inches, metal smooth bore. Propulsion: CO2 x 1. Action: Semi auto, double action only. Ammunition Type: Steel BB's 4.5mm. Ammunition Capacity: 19 rounds. FPS: 387 fps/ 118 m/s.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is a bit in the heavy side in terms of a typical Double Action Only BB shooter, The pull is consistent and predictable but this will not be the fastest action shooter out there and the heavy trigger may tire your finger when shooting quickly. Accuracy may also be compromised a bit since the trigger will effect a smooth pull.
Accuracy: So far I have not performed my Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol so I have no real idea on how accurate it will be? I figure the just under 400 fps claimed velocity should be realistic since it is a non-blowback airgun. We will find out later on when I am able to test out the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol in the replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range.
Build Quality: The KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is for the most part an all plastic build other than the full metal magazine and some internal parts like the inner barrel and a few others. With the all metal magazine in the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol it feels pretty good in terms of weight but as soon as you take the hefty metal magazine out it feels virtually weightless. That said you will not be shooting the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol without the magazine in it. Fit and finish look and feel pretty good.
Realism: The KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol in terms of size and looks is a very good replace of a real steel S&W M&P40 without the licensing of course. Again the weight is a lit bit on the shy side and since the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is non-blowback it is lacking many of the working parts like a slide that slide, a functioning takedown lever or slide catch release. The full size drop out metal magazine and recessed barrel do help make the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol more believable and I also like that KWC worked the safety into the right hadn't slide catch release to keep it well hidden.
Pros:
Fairly accurate visually of the S&W M&P40.
Nice discreet safety location built into the slide catch release.
Barrel is recessed.
Full size dropout metal magazine that holds BB's and CO2.
White dot sights front and back.
Rail for add on accessories.
Even though mostly plastic, with the metal magazine in it feels reasonably heavy.
No ugly warning instructions.
Comes with a speed loader and BB’s to get you started.
Cons:
No Blowback action or working slide.
Somewhat heavy DAO Trigger.
Mostly plastic build so a bit on the light side compared to the metal slide versions.
Comments:
If you’re looking for a lower cost BB shooting Replica of the S&W M&P40 and don’t need blowback action, perhaps your more interested in a little bit more power and shots per CO2, well then the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol may juts check all the boxes for you. The good news is we have a lot of options now if you’re in the market for a S&W M&P40 Replica Airgun. You can get the lower cost NBB version I am revising here, perhaps you want to spend a little bit more and get the KWC Metal Slide Blowback version which also comes in an Airsoft equivalent? And if yo want all the markings then get the Umarex distributed version complete with S&W licensing.
My Vimeo Video Review for the KWC Makarov PM CO2 NBB BB Pistol:
Type: Paintball Gun. Manufacturer:Umarex - T4E. Model:T4E TR50 Materials: Metal & Polymer. Weight: 726 grams (1.6 pounds). Barrel: Smooth bore. Power Source: 1x12 gram CO2. Action: Revolver - Double action only trigger. Ammo Type: .50 Caliber Paintball or Rubber Ball. Ammo Capacity: 6 Rounds x 5 magazines. FPS: 360.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver is double action only but not very long with a very different feel than I am use to. The best way to describe it is kind of lumpy, it starts out a bit firm and then eases off a lot just before it releases. Like climbing a hill and then coasting down the otters side. I will have to see how it feels when it’s all loaded up with CO2 and Paintballs and actually shooting at a target.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver is good overall. It is a mostly plastic build with some metal parts where they need to be internally. It is essentially two plastic halves held together by screws with the few actual mechanical working external parts. You have the trigger with it’s working trigger safety, the removable magazine and magazine release and of course the quick puncture CO2 screw knob. The hammer is internal. The Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver is not very heavy but it does feel really solid in the hand.
Expected fairly high fps power of 360 with .50 caliber paintballs, a bit too high for your average paintball field but perhaps powerful enough to discourage an intruder?
Lots of mounting option for accessories like a tac light, laser or other sighting option with it’s upper and lower picatinny rail setup.
Quick CO2 pierce system so you can leave a CO2 in it ready to go any time with no worries about CO2 leaking out.
Working Trigger Safety.
Comes with 5 total magazines you can preload ready for use.
Super non-complicated design. Once loaded with CO2 and Paintballs all you need to do is hit the CO2 knob and then pull the trigger.
Build quality feels good, the gun is fairly beefy but not overly heavy or hard to hold.
Cons:
Mostly all plastic build.
Sights do not have white dots on them and are not adjustable.
Do not expect a lot of shots per CO2. Will find out when I do my Field Test Shooting Review.
Comments:
The Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver is an interesting Paintball gun, overseas versions are marketed as the HDR50 which stands for “Home Defense Revolver”, while the North American version is marketed as the TR50 or “Training Revolver”. This is mainly because in the Europe most countries are not allowed to own real handguns but can own “Self Defense handguns”. In North America as most people are well aware, in the US real handguns are very easy to obtain and can be used for self defense. Just across the border here in Canada we can not really purposely have on hand anything that we plan to use as a weapon for self defense so the Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver is marketed as a Training Revolver. What’s the difference? Not much, our North American 360 fps version is a lot like the 7.5 joule German version in terms of power but you can also get a more powerful 11 joule version in the UK. All that said, the Umarex T4E TR50 .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver at least here in Canada is made and marketed as a Paintball gun but on the field may be too powerful? What you decide to do with it is up to you!
I have not officially done a Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle other than my quick outside shooting test where I simply shot a bunch of rounds at some pop cans just to see how the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle would work for me and it did perform well during that test.
Jumping ahead to a little while later when I went to make my Official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle. I found it was not performing well at all, shooting well under the 410 claimed fps closer to 200 fps which was a surprise since it seemed to do a lot better for me on my previous test. I even changed out the CO2 but still did not get any better results. I racked this up to maybe being a defective gun and so I went about getting my hands on another Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle.
Guess what? Same thing with rifle number two. Very poor fps, again almost half of the claimed rated velocity. So at this point I decided I was goring to make the Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and let the results speak for themselves… I also thought it would be fun to compare it to the Classic 1938 Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun since I figured they would both get similar fps and accuracy and be rather comparable at the end of the day.
I do have to say that the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle did make me eat my words and I am happy it did since I really like the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and wanted it to do well!
Usually I state all there results for My Field Test Shooting Videos here in the written article but I kind of feel it is best if you just watch this one from start to finishes since the video result s did turn out to really surprise me in the end.
Make sure to watch my Table Top Review Video if you want more info on the details and specifications for the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol! in this Field Test Shooting video I test out the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol inside the Replica Airguns indoor Sea Can Airgun Range to see how well it performs in terms of Velocity and Accuracy. The temperature was 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) so not too hot or too cold on this test day. I was also using a brand new CO2 along with 5.1 grain RWS zinc coated steel BB’s.
For the first test to find out what the actual velocity is for the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol, I placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph back to back and I was able to get an average of 456 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 460 fps and the slowest shot in the string hitting 451 fps. All within 9 fps of each other so very consistent.
Next I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and proceeded to do my best to obtain a 10 shot grouping using a seated and rested shooting position. Most of the shots form the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol where all under 1.5 inches apart, just a little bit high and slightly to the left. I did get a flyer that went a little bit lower than the rest lengthening out the 10 shot grouping to about 2 inches in diameter. I am pretty sure I would be able to get a 1 inch grouping with the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol after some practice.
Overall the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol performed well for me shooting consistently without any issues. The Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol is fairly basic in design but does have the added much suppressor that allows for a longer inner barrel giving it a little more fps. You also have the removable sight rail fi you want to add some optical sights or perhaps a laser or tactical light or maybe all of them? Make sure to watch my Table Top Review Video if you want more info on the details and specifications for the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit! in this Field Test Shooting video I test out the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit inside the Replica Airguns indoor Sea Can Airgun Range to see how well it performs in terms of Velocity and accuracy. The temperature was 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) so not too hot or too cold on this test day. I was also using a brand new CO2 along with 5.1 grain RWS zinc coated steel BB’s.
For the first test to find out what the actual velocity is for the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit I placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph back to back and I was able to get an average of 396 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 404 fps and the slowest shot in the string hitting 389 fps. Interestingly enough the fastest shot was the last shot in my 5 shot string so CO2 cooling did not effect the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit too much.
Next I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and proceeded to do my best to obtain a 10 shot grouping using a seated and rested shooting position. I may have only loaded 9 rounds this time but I was still able to get a good idea on how well the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit performs in the accuracy department. Most of the shots where all under 2 inches and well center on the target with at least 3 or 4 rounds in the bullseye. I did get a flyer that went rather high but we will assume there may have been a bad BB in the bunch shine I did not feel I pulled that shot at all and since the other rods all placed well together well will go with the smaller grouping of under 2 inches.
Overall the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit performed well for me shooting consistently without any issues. The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit is a very basic airgun with your standard double action trigger that will be on the longer side, that said it felt pretty good and was not overly heavy with a fairly predictable pull and release making it easy enough to find your target. Action shooting will be OK too since the trigger is not super heavy for a double action only trigger. We had a lot of great new Airguns that I reviewed this year at Replica Airguns. Some of them really stood out to me and so I made a video showing my Favorite Replica Airgun Picks of 2019. Of course there where many other Airguns that could has just as easily made this video but I had to draw the line somewhere and pick the ones that in my opinion where the best of 2019. Make sure to watch my Vimeo video where I go into some more details on why I liked each Airgun.
Below is a list of the top Replica Airgun Picks of 2019:
Type: GBB AIrsoft Pistol. Manufacturer: Made by Tokyo Marui. Model:Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R. Materials: Mostly polymer with metal components. Weight: 1.85 pounds (839 grams). Barrel: 4.4 inches (112mm) metal non-rifled. Propulsion: Green gas. Action: Semi auto blowback, single action only trigger. Ammunition Type: 6mm plastic Airsoft BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 31 round drop out full size metal magazine. FPS: Claimed 365.
Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol is extremely nice, there is virtually zero take-up with a light and easy release. You can really hammer out quick shots with this Airsoft pistol. Other than the Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior .45 1911, one of the best 1911 triggers I have tested so far.
Build Quality: TheTokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol on the outside it is mostly all plastic (Slide and portion of the frame). That said the quality is fantastic, fit and finish is top notch everywhere and you will find metal parts where they need to be as in the inner and outer barrel, trigger, hammer, slide catch release, back strap safety, trigger group, magazine and many more internal parts.
Realism: The Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol is built on the Colt 45 1911 design but is obviously a more modernized and tacticle version of the classic 1911. The only factor that separates the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol from that of a traditional 1911 in design is the lack of a barrel bushing which kind of makes field stripping and access to the Airsoft guns intervals a little bit easier. You still get that 1911 feel and awesome Single Action Only Trigger with your thumb safety and slide catch release in all the familiar places. Of course the Grip safety works as you would expect on a 1911.
Pros:
Light and crips flat faced SAO trigger feels great.
Fit and finish is excellent, next to zero slide wiggle.
Very cool looking tactical modernized 1911.
Direct Optic Ready removable rear sight to accommodate for included red dot mounting plates.
Optional under-rail plate included.
Full size high capacity 31 round double stack metal magazine.
Ambidextrous thumb safeties.
Working grip safety as you would expect on a 1911 based gun.
Most mechanical parts work just like a real steel 1911 and can be easily field stripped to access the hop-up.
Super fast blowback action, great for quick action shooting.
Decent 1.85 pounds weight considering much of the Airsoft gun is plastic.
Cons:
Mostly all plastic build.
Does not have the barrel bushing found on traditional 1911’s.
No white dots on rear sight.
Comments:
So far I have reviewed three of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft pistols and all three have impressed me. Even with a mostly plastic build at least externally in the slide and frames, these Airsoft Pistols still feel and shoot great even if they are a little on the light side. That may be a plus for some people who want a nice light weight side arm that is not weighing them down on the field. The plastic slides really cycle fast and are super snappy, when combined with short and light tirggers you can pop off rounds amazingly fast and on target. For the price I really think any of the Tokyo Marui Airsoft Guns would be a great choice. I do however have a soft spot for 1911’s and so for me the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 D.O.R GBB Airsoft Pistol would be my choice out of the three I have reviewed so far.
Type: Non-blowback CO2 BB Pistol. Manufacturer: Distributed by Crosman. Model:P10 Wildcat / Phantom. Materials: Plastic & metal. Weight: 1.1 pounds (500 grams). Barrel: Smooth bore barrel. Propulsion: CO2 x 1. Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only trigger. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 20 round drop out plastic magazine. FPS: Claimed 480.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol is typical of a Double Action Only Trigger and so you will expect it to be a longer medium to heavy pull. I’d say it’s more of a medium pull, it’s not going to be the fastest action shooter because of this but it will get the job done emptying the 20 round stick magazine quick enough. Like many of these lower cost basic CO2 BB pistols the barrel acts like the hammer in that it does protrude out of the barrel opening when you pull the trigger and snap back upon release.
Accuracy & Power: At this point I have not shot the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol so I can only quote what Crosman claims on their packaging in terms of velocity which is a peppy 480fps. We will have to see if this figure is close to the mark when I get to the Field Test Shooting Review for the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol, along with test results for accuracy at 30 feet downrange.
Build Quality: The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol is mostly all plastic with some metal internal parts where they need to be for strength and durability issues. The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol is basically two plastic halves put together with screws on the right side. This may not be the prettiest way to build a CO2 Airgun but it does work and keeps things simple, simple means there are a lot less things to go wrong which means you will have an airgun that is reliable for a long time.
Realism: The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol is not a replica of any specific real steel pistol in production but in my opinion it kind of looks like a hybrid of a Beretta and Sig merged together. Obviously the Blue and Pink versions are made to show they are not real steel guns but you can get the P10 in the all black Phantom version which will look more like a real gun. There are few moving parts on the Crosman P10 line of Airguns, just the trigger, safety and magazine release. All other parts are moulded into the plastic with no working slide or even hammer. The CO2 tab is well hidden by the grips but the barrel is not reassessed at all.
Blue and pink color scheme may ease some parents when buying a first BB gun.
High FPS rating.
Non-blowback will get more shots per CO2.
Comes with a generic nylon holster you can use with other airguns too .
CO2 tab is nicely hidden inside the grip.
Double action trigger pull is long but not too firm.
Should work with other similar styled magazines commonly found on lower cost BB pistols.
Assembled in the US.
Cons:
All plastic gun for the most part with just a few internal metal parts.
Not many working parts pretty much all moulded gun.
Grips fairly loose, don't really snap into place, could fall off easily.
Comments:
I’m not really a big fan of all plastic non-blowback airguns as I have made aware in many of my other videos. That said there is a place for Airguns like the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol for those looking to buy an Airgun not so much as a close replace but simply just to shoot at targets and have fun with. The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol will do just that very dependably while offering lots of shots per CO2 with a high fps, it should also get reasonable accuracy while doing so. Being able to get it in a variety of colors means you can personalize the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol a bit more and the blue and pink versions may be the deciding factor for some parents sitting not the fence on whether or not to allow their young adult or teenager to buy their first CO2 BB Pistol.
Type: Non-blowback CO2 BB Pistol. Manufacturer: Distributed by Daisy. Model:Powerline 5170. Materials: Metal & plastic. Weight: 1.8 pounds. Barrel: Smooth bore goes entire length of much compensator. Propulsion: CO2 x 1. Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only trigger. Ammunition Type: 4.5mm steel BB's. Ammunition Capacity: 21 round drop out plastic magazine. FPS: Claimed 520.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol is that of a Double Action only Trigger and so you will expect it to be on the long side. That said it is smooth all the way through the pull and no overly heavy. It also has a rather satisfying feeling that I can only explain as a feeling that you are working well put together internal metal parts.
Accuracy & Power: At this point I have not shot the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol so I can only quote what Daisy is saying in terms of velocity which is rather optimistic 520fps. This sounds high but we will have to see when I get to the Field Test Shooting Review for the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol.
Build Quality: The Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol seems to be decently made for a mostly plastic airgun. Like I said the metal trigger feels solid and it also has a metal safety which is nice, other than that all other external parts are plastic but it does feel like there are a lot of metal internal parts based on the weight. I would have liked to see more metal in the magazine as it does feel to be the cheapest part of the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol.
Realism: The Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol is basically a replica of a 1911 in most ways. It does have a shorter slide than a standard 1911 but the compensator adds a lot of length back to the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol. The working safety is out of place for a 1911 since it is located where the slide catch would be and does not even look like a 1911 slide catch. The location where the real 1911 safety would be has a moulded in non-working safety. Not to be overly picky but the trigger on a 1911 is also totally different since it would be a very short single action only trigger. The only working parts on the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol are the trigger, safety and magazine release.
Fairly low cost with what looks to be decent fps and hopefully good accuracy.
Has an added compensator that extends the barrel internally.
Double action trigger is very smooth and satisfying feel to it.
Comes with sight rail for addition of top, bottom and side Weaver accessories.
Safety actually looks like part of the gun even though not a 1911 style lever.
CO2 tab is well hidden by magazine but plate.
Weight and feel of gun are pretty good considering so much plastic.
Pretty decent replica of a Colt 1911.
Made in Japan.
Cons:
Will need an optical sight of some sort or will have to take off sight rail to use built in sights.
Drop out magazine is all plastic.
Not many working parts.
Comments:
I’m not really a big fan of all plastic non-blowback airguns but I am willing to give the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol a chance since it does have some things going for it like high fps which I know is important to many of you. The Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol also has a really nice double action trigger which should make shooting it easy and fun. The sight rail also gives the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol a lot of versatility when it comes to making the Daisy Powerline 5170 your own by adding on pretty much any accessory you can imagine.
In a way I have already Field Tested the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, well at least in the Baikal version. The Air Venturi version is pretty much a knock of of the Baikal IZH MP-61 which not only look a lot alike but also performed very similarly for me, checkout my Baikal YouTube Video Review for comparison. All that said we can not get Baikal products here in North America anymore so it’s great that Air Venturi has recreated a very similar product for us to have in Canada and the US.
Moving on to the Field Test Review for the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, I first placed 5 shots through my Chronograph to see if the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle did in fact shoot around 500 fps and in fact I was able to get all 5 shots up and over 500 fps averaging around 513 fps. Still within our Non-regulated firearm laws here in Canada since we where still under the 4.2 foot pound energy limit using 6.9 grain pellets.
As mentioned before when I shot the Baikal IZH MP-61 I was able to get very similar results but I did have an optical scope on the Baikal IZH MP-61 as compared to the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle where I just used the open sights. In my opinion the Air Venturi TR5 .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle is good value for your money offering a unique design with excellent performance and getting as much power out of a pellet rifle as you can get here in Canada without requiring a firearms license.

It’s always fun shooting a Paintball Gun like the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol for a change but in this case it’s not all that different then shooting one of my BB or Airsoft pistols, with the acceptation of the .43 caliber rubber balls. I went with rubber balls rather than Paintballs inside my Sea Can Indoor Airguns Shooting Range to keep things clean. Actual Paintballs may have performed a little different than the rubber balls but this gives us a good idea on what the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is capable of
First, I put five rounds through my Chrony Chronograph to see what the real world FPS would be, keep in mind I was using rubber balls rather than paintballs and the rubber balls are a little bit heavier than paintballs so this could bring the FPS down a bit compared to the slightly lighter paintballs. Using a brand new CO2, the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol average 315 FPS which was higher than the claimed 290 FPS! Temperature inside my Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range was around 24 degrees Celsius or 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Moving on to my accuracy testing, as per usual I positioned myself 30 feet back from my fresh paper target and using a seated and rested shooting position I shot a full magazine (8 rounds) of rubber balls on target with the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol. I was not expecting as tight groups as I would get using a BB or Airsoft pistol since Paintball guns are not known for super tight groups. I did manage to shoot around a 6 inch group with most of the shots staying within around 3 inches all pretty well centered. This is about what I was expecting as paintball guns are not meant for "target practicing", generally you are going to be shooting human sized objects and hoping to get some well placed center mass shots. 3-6 inch accuracy at 30 feet will get the job done for sure. I did find the trigger using rubber balls did have a bit more friction while the inner barrel seated itself into the magazine. When shooting quickly with the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol it is much less noticeable and overal the trigger is not bad.
I know some of you are going to ask about using the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol with rubber balls for non-lethal self defense and the reality is it will not stop a person who is determined on hurting you. There is simply not enough stoping power here. Will it a lot if you get shot up close with one of these Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistols especially directly on the skin ? For sure but a well timed punch has more chance of dropping someone than a .43 caliber rubber ball moving at around 300 FPS. You may scare someone off simply by brandishing it but you take the chance of the person calling your bluff. Perhaps 8 rubber balls to the face will change their mind but that's a chance you have to figure out if you want to take or not.
Type: Paintball Gun. Manufacturer:Umarex - T4E. Model:S&W M&P9 M2.0 Materials: Metal & Polymer. Weight: 763 grams (1.7 pounds). Barrel: Smooth bore. Power Source: 1x12 gram CO2. Action: Semi-Automatic with blowback action. Ammo Type: .43 Caliber Paintball or Rubber Ball. Ammo Capacity: 8 Rounds. FPS: 290.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol feels a lot like a double action trigger mainly because when you pull the trigger the inner barrel travels backwards into the magazine which seals off the barrel form the magazine so less CO2 is wasted going it not the magazine and also placing a paintball round in the barrel. This does make the trigger a little bit longer and heavier than a single action trigger. I believe the internal hammer/striker is engaged from the blowback action.
Build Quality: The build quality of the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is really very good, metal parts are where you would expect them, the slide, slide catch, barrel, magazine and most internal parts giving the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol a nice near 2 pounds (1.7 pounds) of weight with the magazine in which makes the Paintball version a little heavier than the real steal version (1.54 pounds) but once the real steal version is loaded with a full mag this may even out a bit. The Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol does have a polymer frame but again this is normal with todays modern guns and helps keep the weight down. Fit and finish is also very good!
Realism: The Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol is a near perfect replica of the real steel S&W M&P9 M2.0 Pistol, from the fully licensed markings to the large .43 caliber diameter barrel. If you placed the Paintball version side by side with the real steel version I doubt you could tell them apart unless you start inspecting it really close up and working the action. You will find that the slide cycle distance is a bit shorter than it would be meaning that when the side catch is engaged the slide does not go as far back as it the real 9mm S&W M&P9 M2.0. Field stripping the Umarex T4E S&W M&P9 M2.0 .43 Cal. Paintball Pistol will requires some tools and pin removal.
