Trigger Pull: The double action type trigger pull on the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is reasonable, it is a bit on the longer side but is smooth with low friction and has a predictable break point. I found it very easy to shoot this gun with good accuracy shooting out in front as a pistol or rested on the shoulder using the shoulder stock more like a rifle.
Accuracy: The good news is that I have already done my Field Test Shooting video for the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun so make sure to check that video review out when you have a moment. I was very impressed with the overall shooting performance of the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun, it scored well in both power and accuracy! I was able to get a nice tight 3/4 inch 10 round grouping on my paper target setup 30 feet away and even with this Canadian versions 4.5 max length barrel I was still able to get really close to 500 fps out of the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun! I wonder what velocity I would have managed if the extension barrel actually included the inner barrel portion for the full 12 inches of barrel length?
Build Quality: The Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun coming in at around $100 is a low cost BB gun considering it is so versatile. At this price point you are going to find an almost all plastic build with the exception of some internal metal parts. That said the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun feels solid and well made, all the fitted parts feel tight when put together.
Realism: The Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is not a replica of any gun that I can point out? It can also morph into so many different variation, Umarex says it has 3x configuration but I counted 8 possible configuration when mixing and matching components. Available From: The Replica Airguns Store.

Comments: I was pleasantly surprised with the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun, I expected it to be much different from a lot of the other airguns I have reviewed since it is so versatile with all of its configurations. I was not expecting it to be so powerful with only the short 4.5 inch inner barrel. I was again surprised but the accuracy, not many BB guns get a 3/4 inch grouping at 30 feet out! Another kind of cool feature I didn't even know about at first is the ability to adjust the velocity using a screw for higher or lower fps. Lower fps will maximize the amount of shots you get from a 12 gram CO2 while higher fps is just kind of more fun to shoot in. I also don't often recommend BB guns for pest control but in this case with how light weight and easy the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is to break down and put in a backpack, and the fact that it is fairly powerful and accurate out to 300 feet. I feel in a pinch you could take down some small vermin if you found yourself hungry and lost in the woods.
My Table Top and Field Test Videos for the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun:
Yet another retest for an airgun I have already reviewed. But some airguns need another "shot"! Today I just kind of felt like shooting a springer and the Baikal MP-53M Break Barrel .177 Pellet Air Pistol came to mind. I'm not the best at shooting spring pistons airguns since they take a more softer relaxed grip and I tend to hold guns with a bit of a firmer grip.
As always in my new Sea Can Shipping Container I perform a Chronograph velocity test to see what the real world feet per second is and then I perform a followup accuracy test shooting 10 rounds at a paper target 30 feet down range using a rested seated position. During the velocity Chrony test for the Baikal MP-53M Break Barrel .177 Pellet Air Pistol I was able to get an average of 405 fps which was much higher than my previous testing where I averaged 319 fps. I was using different 7 grain lead pellets but I don't think they where that much different in weigth since the Diabolo pellets should have been around 6-7 grain.
Moving onto the accuracy portion of my Field Test review, this time around my shots stayed a little tighter than last time stretching out to about 2 inches but most of the 10 shots where all within 1 to 1.5 inches. The trigger on the Baikal MP-53M Break Barrel .177 Pellet Air Pistol is really great, super light with just a little take-up and virtually a hair trigger after that with zero friction.
I also wanted to mention that cocking the Baikal MP-53M Break Barrel .177 Pellet Air Pistol is fairly easy and that I did find I needed to set the rear sigh to the all the way down position to get my shots to hit close to the bullseye as this gun seemed to like to shoot rather high out of the box.
So I decided to revisit the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun and retest the accuracy in my new Sea Can using paper targets setup 30 feet away using a rested and lated shooting position. I also redid my Chronograph velocity test siren my new Chromo setup is working so well.
I did get very similar results with my velocity Chromo Test, my first test I averaged about 430 fps and this time I got 428 fps shooting a 5 shot string. Moving onto the accuracy potion of my Field Test Shooting Review for the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun, I did notice that it was shooting a little bit to the left, elevation was bang on but unfortunately with the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun you can only adjust elevation and not windage?
Even so I was able to get about a 1.5 inch grouping with 10 shots on target with the Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun. But there was one mystery shot that seemed to for sure hit the target but left no indication of where it hit, perhaps I hit the same hole as my first shot?
The Gletcher M1891 Sawn Off Mosin Nagant Rifle CO2 BB Gun is a really cool rifle, I would love to test out the Gletcher M1944 longer version but so far I have not been able to get my hands on one and have only seen it so far at SHOT Show. Keep checking our Replica Airguns online stereo for stock as our Gletcher inventory does go in and out of stock at times.
I usually do my Table Top Video Review first but in this case I decided to pump out my Field Test Shooting video ahead of it. So if you're looking for more detailed specifications then just wait a bit till I get my Table Top Review out. What you really need to know about the Umarex Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is that it's a CO2 4.5mm BB Gun with a 30 round internal magazine sporting multiple configurations as the stock, barrel and forward stock are all removable so it can be a pistol or a rifle and many variations in-between, even more than 3X of them.
The US version of the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun when installing the rifled barrel (Which is not rifled buy the way), will shoot faster than when the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is in pistol version since the add on barrel adds a lot of additional barrel length to the airgun. The Canadian version which I am testing does come with the extension rifle barrel but it is only for show as the inside is missing the 4.5mm inner barrel. This is because our Canadian import laws for uncontrolled firearms would not allow the rifle version of the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun here in Canada as it would potentially shoot with too much fps (around 600 fps) and foot pounds of energy for our Canadian non regulated gun laws. As it stand the Canadian version of the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun has an fps rating of 480 fps in both pistol and rifle configurations.
All that aside how did the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun do during my testing? Awesome to be precise! It actually averaged a 5 shot Chronograph Velocity Test of 498 fps even in pistol configuration which is very impressive for a CO 2 BB gun. I also was able to get the majority of my 10 shots on a paper target positioned 30 feet away from me using a rested seated position within about 3/4 of an inch. I even played around a bit with holding the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun out in front like a pistol and tight to my shoulder using the rear stock.
It's kind of too bad we don't have the inner rifled version here in Canada as even at 600 fps we are just under 4.2 foot pound Canadian limit but trying to explain that this is still OK to our CBSA border guards is just a little too much for them to process :) Even without the inner barrel the Morph 3X CO2 BB Gun is a really great and super versitile airgun with lots of power and just as good accuracy!
Another revisit for an inexpensive and fun BB shooter, the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle! I have done some previous video reviews and comparisons for the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle so make sure to check them out. I also recently did an update Field Test Shooting Video for the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun which is a very comparable airgun to the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle.
Here is a quick overview of the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle, it's designed for younger smaller shooter with it's short stock but it's still fun of all ages! You can store 700 4.5mm Steel BB's in its internal magazine and Crosman claims a max velocity of 350 fps. Like the Daisy Red Ryder the power source is a spring piston that is activated by the lever action.
Now let's talk about how the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle performed in my Sea Can Field Test Shooting test... Crosman claims a max fps of 350, my Chronograph results came in at a 5 shot average of 316 fps which is not bad compared to the Daisy Red Ryder that also has a claimed fps of 350 but only shot around 240 fps.
So the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle is the clear winner in terms of velocity over the Daisy Red Ryder but what about accuracy? That's a different story, the Crosman did not perform all that great for me shooting at a paper target 30 feet away using a rested shooting position. I shot 10 rounds at my paper target and got about a 5-6 inch grouping, there was an underlying smaller tight group that was closer to about 3 inches but a god 3-4 of the BB's came out of it spreading out the group significantly. Compare that to the Daisy Red Ryder with a nice tight 2 inch group.
So what do you want? Power or accuracy? I figure since the Crosman Marlin Cowboy BB Rifle is really targeted of the younger more entry level shooter that it should have good accuracy so they know when they are doing it right and less concerned on if the gun is performing as it should. Sure power is fun and smashing your targets does give a certain satisfaction but you have to hit the target first :)
It's been a while since I pulled out the old Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun. And I know I have already done some Vimeo videos for the Red Ryder and the Crosman Marlin Cowboy but I really wanted to make an updated Field Test Video specifically for the Red Ryder and see how it fairs in a more controlled shooting test.
As always with my Field Test Shooting videos I test out the velocity using my Chrony Chronograph and see what the real world fps is compared to what Daisy Claims which by the way is up to 350 fps. I also setup a paper target about 30 feet back and take 10 shots using a rested and seated shooting position to determine what kind of grouping I can get and how well centered the airgun is out of the box.
During my velocity testing the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun shot well under the claimed 350 fps by around 100 fps. I can say that the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun was super consistent and shot between 242 fps as a low and 244 fps as a high averaging 243 fps. The Daisy Red Ryder is sure one of the most consistent airguns I have tested to date in terms of velocity constancy! This will help a lot with vertical accuracy.
During my accuracy test I would have to say the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun shot pretty close to a 2 inch grouping and was pretty well centered with 4 shots hitting the black bullseye , I did pull my last shot a bit which extended the group a little but this was for sure my fault as I new I pulled it as soon as I shot it, the stock actually dropped on my shoulder a little just as I pulled the trigger.
Overall I really enjoy shooting the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun, it's so simple yet so fun to shoot, there is just something about a lever action rifle that I really like and the super low cost to purchase and shoot a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun also makes it a must have for anyone no matter how many airguns you own or what type you shoot.
I was originally planning on working out some of the magazine feeding issues with the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun as other reviewers had mentioned that the steel 4.5mm BB's can jam up a bit in the magazine. The only thing I did with my Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun was to add a little bit of dry Jig-A-Loo lubricant to the magazine feeding track and make sure all my BB's where properly double stacked.. Other than that my Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is stock with no magazine spring mods.
I did find that my RWS Zinc coated Steel 4.5mm BB's had a tendency to bind a little in the top part of the magazine where the BB's go from a double stack to a single stack configuration. Now my RWS 4.5mm BB's are a bit older and I have found that older Zinc and Copper coated steel BB's will corrode a little which could cause some friction problems.
So for my Shooting Field Test I selected some brand new Umarex Zinc Coated Steel BB's and they did seem to work a little better for me as I did not get any magazine feeding issues during my testing of the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun. I did notice that when I did a magazine dump that the bolt cycle started to shorten up due to some cool down effect causing the bolt to lock, a quick 5 second break and she was good to go again to finish off the mag.
In terms of feet per second velocity Umarex claims around 450 fps for the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun, this may be possible with brand new CO2 on a warm day but I got closer to a 400 fps 5 shot average under normal testing conditions, this is perfectly fine for a blowback BB airgun.
When I performed the accuracy test from my standard 30 foot out position on paper targets I got a very tight 1 inch group shooting in semi auto. just a light bit high and to the left but very close to the center bullseye. When I opened up and went full auto the group did largen a little since the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun does rock a little back and forth with it's internal bolt blowback operation but the remaining 40 rounds did stay within the most part within a 2-3 inch grouping.
The Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is a really sweet air riffle with a legendary look, blowback operation, semi and full auto capability, decent fps, great accuracy and at the end of the day is simply a ton of fun to shoot!
The Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a really nice evolution to the already existing line of Sig Sauer ASP Pellet Pistols. The 30 round belt fed pellet magazine is what really sets it apart from the Sig ASP P250 and Sig ASP P226 which both share the traditional double sided 8 round rotary pellet magazines found in other CO2 pellet pistols like the Umarex PX4 and ASG CZ P-09 Duty.
The big question I had was how is the trigger going to feel and is a 30 round belt magazine going to be reliable? Will other aspects of the Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol function and perform like its rotary magazine brothers?
During my Chronograph feet per second shooting test I compared all three blowback pellet pistols shooting five rounds from each of them using a brand new CO2 and Sig Sauer 5.25 grain Match Ballistic Alloy Pellets. It was a close race with the Sig ASP P250 averaging 413 fps, the Sig ASP P226 just under with a 409 fps average and the Sig ASP P320 coming in a very close third at 405 fps. Only about 8 fps separating all of them!
Moving on to the target portion of my testing. As per my standard Field Test Shooting Reviews I setup my paper targets about 30 feet from my rested shooting position and since the ASP P250 and P226 both have 8 rounds per side rotary magazines I decided to shoot an 8 round grouping with all three Sig ASP pellet pistols. It was really close and perhaps one could say most of the variability was because of the human factor. All three CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistols shot about 2 inch groupings with perhaps one or two outliers, again most likely my fault :) I would say the Sig Sauer ASP P250 was perhaps the most accurate with the tightest of the three groups and also the most centered. The Sig Sauer ASP P226 and Sig Sauer ASP P320 where both a close second with both of them shooting just a tad left on target but pretty close to the center.
What about that Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol trigger and belt fed magazine? The trigger actually felt great, much lighter than I was expecting and I did not have one pellet feed error during my entire testing. At the end of the day all three Sig ASP pellet guns performed about the same, but I have to say having 30 rounds at your disposal without having to reload or rotate the stick mag really makes the Sig ASP P320 stand out and perhaps make it the winner in a very close contest.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is single action only and even though I have seen it tested at around 10 pounds pull, in person it does not feel that heavy and is actually fairly smooth. You will need ti charge the bolt for the first shot just like you would on the real steel MP 40.
Accuracy: I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun but did take it outside for a quick test run. Like others have reported back you really need to take your time loading the double stack magazine properly or you can have some feeding issues. it may even be a good idea to use a little lubricant in the magazine to help with BB smoothness. I will know more after I ahed played around with the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun a little more and worked out the BB feeding issues.
Build Quality: The Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is pretty much all metal other than the stock and pistol grip. Pretty much everything that is black is going to be metal on this airgun. It weighs in at a hefty 7.7 pounds which is only a punt off form the real steel version. Overall the fit and finish is really good, all mechanical parts including the retractible stock work flawless.
Realism: The Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is a 1 to 1 replica of the real steel German made World War II Machine Gun. It is very authentic looking and has very similar operation. The BB version does have the ability to shoot in semi auto mode which the real steel version did not but this is a good feature for saving on CO2 and BB's It would have been nice if the bolt was abel to lock all the way back and up but since the movement is shortened this is not possible. Still the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is a really nice replica and almost every way.
Great to have another full size Rifle / Machine Gun available to purchase in a BB gun version.

Comments: When I first got my hand on the Umarex Legends MP 40 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun at this years SHOT Show I immediately knew it was going to be a hit. The Umarex Legends MP has a lot going for it... High fps, semi and full auto, nostalgia of being a war replica and super great build quality and fit and finish. The questions is really who wouldn't want one? Especially being a replica BB rifle which has to be one of the more limited areas when it comes to airgun replicas. I look forward to shooting this offering from Umarex a little more and sharing my experiences with everyone.

What's not to love about the Umarex Legends MP 40 CO2 Blowback 4.5mm Steel BB Full Auto Machine Gun? It's pretty much all metal weighing in at close to 8 pounds, The Legends MP has a max fps of up to 465, shoots in both semi and full auto and has a high capacity all metal 52 round magazine that holds not only 1 CO2 but 2 CO2 for close to 200 rounds of semi auto shooting or about 140 shots in full auto. I really look forward to my Field Test Shooting Review of the Umarex Legends MP 40!
Not to be out shadowed or forgotten in the preview video, I also show off another 2017 SHOT Show CO2 Blowback Air Pistol, the Umarex Beretta APX! Right away the Umarex Beretta APX feels nice and solid in the hand weighing in at around 1.5 pounds with a heavy metal slide and really high quality plastic or polymer frame. You will find some nice details like a cut out ejection port and recessed barrel and of course full Beretta licensing from Umarex. The Umarex Beretta APX CO2 Blowback BB Pistol has a pretty decent claimed fps of close to 400 and a 20 round stick magazine that when inserted has that full size magazine look to it.
You'll also find other nice details like white dot sights front and back and a working slide catch release. My only gripe with the Beretta APX is the trigger, it does not ahed the trigger safety you would find on the real steel Beretta APX and the action is very long and perhaps a bit heavy. Other than that the Umarex Beretta APX looks to be a really nice replica airgun.

Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 is a little long and requires a firm trigger finger but it is not overly heavy. When you press the trigger it allows a Nerf High-impact round ball to advance into the motorized spinning flywheel area where the ball is accelerated and shot out of the inline barrel .
Accuracy: Keep in mind the Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 is designed as a fun in home battle gun so long range accuracy is not really that important. At up to 30 feet or so you shoudl have no problem hitting a person sized target. The Nerf High-impact round balls do come out the the barrel with a fair amount of spin so some random hooking can happen, usually the spin is more of a backspin that helps keep the ammo targeting in a more linear trajectory.
Build Quality: The Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 like most Nerf guns is built to take a fair bit of a beating since the target audience has mainly been kids and we know they are rarely careful with anything ;) The Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 is mainly plastic but as I mentioned it is high quality and so far has held up well to usage. Fit is good with all interchangeable parts working well and the finish has stayed pretty much pristine!
Realism: Nerf guns are not made to be too realistic since they are meant to be toys and not look too closely like a real gun, hence the brightly colored plastic and more futuristic design. I do like the addition of Picatinny styled rails in several locations where one can add accessories like magazine clips, red dots or even a tactical light or laser sight.
Pros:
Not as extreme as a Paintball gun but a little more intense than a standard Nerf gun.
Good build quality overall.
Easy to quickly swap out a fresh 12 rode tube magazine.
Flip up sights
Picatinny raise for adding accessories.
Decent power and accuracy for a Nerf style gun.

Comments: The Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 is a great option for pretty much anyone looking for a fun battle gun you can use indoors in your home with no worries about breaking windows or messing up your house. not to mention leaving west all over your body! The Nerf Rival Zeus MXV-1200 is going to be a bit more extreme than a standard Nerf gun for sure but way more toned down compares to a paintball gun or even an airsoft gun so if you want some good old rainy day indoor fun then checkout the Nerf Rival line of Nerf guns.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a lot better than I thought it was going to be considering each time you pull the trigger it has to advance the 30 round belt fed magazine and cock the internal hammer since it is double action only. The blowback operation is really only for show and feel since it does not cock the hammer for a more single action type trigger pull. You can expect a fairly long trigger pull because it is double action only but overall it is not too heavy.
Accuracy: I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol but hope to have it done shortly. Since I also haven't really done an official shooting test for the Sig Sauer P350 and P226, I figure I will test out all three of them at the same time.
Build Quality: The Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a bit heavier (closer to 2 pounds) than the P250 which hits the scale at only 1.5 pounds , this does make the Sig Sauer P320 feel a bit more solid in the hand. The Sig Sauer P320 has a metal slide and polymer frames similar to the real steel version which gives it authentic weight, balance and handling. Sig claims that their entire APS line of pellet guns is life tested for 15,000 shots so you know this gun is going to last and provide years of shooting fun. The fit and finish seem really good, so far no real paint or finish problems and all mechanically everything is operating as it should.
Realism: The Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a very close replica of the real steel Sig Sauer P320. The hammer, slide catch release and take down leaver are purely for show with the hammer being moulded into the slide and frame. One slight disappointment for me is when a gun does not have a cut out ejection port, that is also the case with the otters ASP Sig Sauer airguns like the P226 and P250 but it does not take away from the shooting fun in any way.
Good overall replica of the real steel Sig Sauer P320.
Designed by Sig Sauer and made in Japan, fully Sig Sauer licensed.
Should have nice heavy blowback operation like the ASP P250 and P226.
Has better weight than the P250, almost half a pound heavier.
White dot sights for easy target acquisition and accessory rail for add ons.

Decent feel to the trigger not heavy or as sticky as I thought it might be having a 30 round belt fed magazine.

Hammer is moulded into the slide and frame, does not function at all.
Sight are non adjustable.
Ejection port is not cut out and there is no working slide catch.
Comments: I was happy when Sig Sauer released their ASP Sig P250 and P226 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistols with their 16 round double sided stick magazines like we have seen in several otters CO2 Pellet Pistols. But I love the introduction of the 30 round belt fed magazine. I am hoping the belt fed magazine performs while actually shooting pellets as good as it feels when dry firing it, I guess we will have to wait and see when I do my Field Test Shooting Video :) Overall the new Sig Sauer ASP P320 Pellet Pistol looks to be an upgrade of sure to the P250 in terms of improved weight and a higher capacity magazine.

For my first official Field Test Shooting Video I test out the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol! Perhaps I should start calling these videos Sea Can or Shipping Container Shooting videos? Anyway, like always I put some rounds through the Chronograph to see what kind of real world fps I get from the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol. You will all be happy to know the Chrony is working really well in its new home. I played around with it a bit and found that using the light kit I bought gets me very consistent fps readings :)
Since the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a multi-pump airgun there is no real need to shoot more than 3 or so shots, after all there is a fair amount of pumping involved. After three consistent test shots the variation was only about 2 fps apart coming in at an average of 491 fps using Crosman flathead pellets that I would say are around 12-13 grain in weight. Just for fun a did a half pump only cracking the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol 5 times to see what a half power shot would result in and it did scrub off about 200 fps, still good enough for target plinking.
Next up I performed my accuracy test shooting from close to 30 feet back on a paper target using a rested position, (sitting in the back with my hands resting on a sand bag). Still a bit of human factor involved but stable enough to get a good idea of the accuracy for the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I had a bit of a camera technical problem so I ended up performing this test twice, the first time I got about a 3/4 inch 5 shot group. The second time I rushed it a bit and ended up widening out the group a little.
Overall the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a really great target and even small pest close range pistol that you can pickup at a very affordable price. I really wish we carried a few of the Crosman airguns, at least ones like this, perhaps down the road...
Well the Shipping Container Office and Airgun Shooting Range is finally all ready to use and so for this first ever airguns shooting video in it, I simply wanted to try out a couple of airguns and see how this new setup worked. I also wanted to play around with some camera position setup to see how it all looked and if there will be any additional lighting or placement considerations.
Trigger Pull: Trigger pull on all the Umarex Single Action Army BB and Pellet Revolver is really great. Being that these Single Action Army Revolvers are single action only, most of the work is done while you pre-cock the hammer with your thumb. The trigger single action pull is under 2 pounds and has virtually no take up with a crisp release. I love the ratcheting sound of the cylinder as you pull back the hammer just like using a real SAA Revolver!
Accuracy: I have not yet tested the Umarex Colt Single Action Army Nickel & Gold Pellet Revolver so far but expect it to perform very similarly to the 4.5 inch barreled pellet shooting version I tested a while back. On that Field Test Shooting review I was abel to get pretty close to the claimed fps with an average of 378 fps. During my accuracy portion shooting from 30 feet back onto a paper target I got a very respectable .75 inch 6 shot grouping using a semi rested position. I do expect the slightly longer barrel on the Nickel and Gold version to perhaps improve fps slightly.
Build Quality: All of the Colt Single Action Army BB and Pellet Revolvers have a mostly all metal construction other than the plastic grips and any seals. The fit and finish is excellent with a great overall weight in the hand. The mechanical action of the hammer and trigger feels just like it would on a real single action army revolver. I really like the two tone nickel and Gold finish on this longer barreled SAA revolver.
Realism: In terms of replicating a real steel Colt Single Action Army Revolver, again these Umarex old west 6 shooters are absolutely amazing replicas. It's really hard to tell the airgun version apart from the real steel version, with the exception of the smaller diameter shells and the discreet safety switch located under the frame. Even the barrel is nicely recessed and has some fake rifling twists in it to give the appearance of a large caliber barrel opening. The CO2 is well hidden with the Allen key built into the handle so no ugly CO2 screw tab hanging down.
Longer barrel is unique and should get a bit higher fps than the standard shorter barreled versions.
Cons:
A lot more expensive than the standard barrel length in standard finishes.
Real version would shoot 45 caliber, dummy shells are actual closer to 357 so a bit smallish.
The safety in all of these ghost is really firm and hard to change.
Comments:
We have pretty much established that these Umarex Colt Single Action Army pistols are fantastic airgun copies of the old west real steel 6 shooters in pretty much every way. For this reason they have been super popular! The Umarex Colt Single Action Army Nickel & Gold Pellet Revolver is yet another rendition of this same airgun but with a longer barrel and the tow tone Gold and Nickel finish. You will pay a bunch more for the longer barrel and two tone finish, is it worth it? If your on a budget perhaps not but if you want something that really stands out and may even perform just a little better than pony up the extra bucks and pick one of these beauties up.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is non-adjustable but is short and fairly light with virtually no creep at all, it's just right there! The Crosman American Classic P1322 will allow for very accurate shot placement with only a little trigger time required to get use to the release tension required.
Accuracy: I found my Original Crosman 1377 (The .177 caliber version of this airgun) to be an amazing target pistol, getting about a 1/2 inch grouping from 30 feet out in a semi-rested position. And I even performed my accuracy test twice with the same result each time. In terms of fps performance, the Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not required to be detuned for Canada importation so we should see very close to 460 fps even using heavier grain lead pellets! Build Quality: The Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not a fancy looking airgun but it gets the job done with a mostly all metal design and build. Remember this Croman configuration has been around since 1977 so about 40 years and has pretty much stayed the same so Crosman must be doing something right with the American Classic series if it has stood the test of time with very few changes to its design other than some cosmetics ones.
Realism: The Crosman P1322 American Classic Air Pistol is not a replica of any gun out there. The P1322 is made as a target airgun, so it looks like a target air pistol and is not expected to resemble a tradition real steel pistol of any sort.
Pros:
Fairly inexpensive target pistol (under $100 Canadian - $79 US)
Know to be very accurate.
Ability to regulate power with the amount of pumps.
Mostly all metal construction.
Rifled steel barrel.
Adjustable rear sight.
Light single action trigger.
Would be good for small close shot pest control because of good FPS and good accuracy for shot placement ability.
Lots of mods and upgrades available for this series of Crosman Airguns.
Cons:
The trigger is a bit thin (Can be upgraded).
Rear sight is adjustable but is hard to setup.
All black sights are hard to aim on darker targets.
Pumping is fairly firm and will take some time for max 10 pump power.
Comments:
The Crosman American Classic P1322 22 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a bit of a sleeper target pistol. It has been around for a long time and for this reason can be overlooked. It also is a super flashy looking airgun that requires a bit of manual pumping to get to maximum power. There is also the kind of finicky sight setup required to get this air pistol to shoot on target. If you can put all that aside you have yourself a super accurate and rather powerful little target or even small pest control airgun for a lot less money than some other pellet target pistols out there. And to be honest I would trade having to pump this gun up over a springer for the main reason that the recoil is so much less violent on a pump gun allowing for better accuracy at the end of the day. When you factor in all the mods that are available for this line of Crosman Airguns the sky is the limit allowing for a ton of customization in performance and looks.

First off, I want to thank Crosman for providing these two guns for review! Now they're not exactly new guns by any means but for sure worth showing and doing some update reviews for.
Starting with the Crosman PFAM98 Taurus PT-92:
The Crosman PFAM98 Taurus PT-92 is essential a KWC made M92 also branded as the same gun as the Cybergun GSG 92 and the Swiss Arms P92.
So for all intense and purposes if you have watched any of my other revise on this line of KWC Beretta /Taurus BB pistols and even Airsoft versions then this BB gun should be really familiar to you.
History of the Taurus PT-92:
It is often referred to as a Berate 92 copy but in fact it is a Taurus PT-92 replica. The Taurus PT-92 is a product of Brazil, Taurus actually bought the entire Brazilian Beretta factory back in 1980 including drawings, tooling, machinery, and a very experienced work force to make the guns. Taurusimmediately sought to improve on the Beretta design, resulting in the popular and acclaimed Taurus PT-92.
Specifications for the Crosman PFAM98 Taurus PT-92:
Crosman use to make a similar version of the Crosman American Classic P1322 called the Back Packer which had a slightly longer barrel and came with a removable stock. You can kind of replicate this gun by adding the stock but it will have a shorter barrel. Keep in mind there are a ton of mods available for this series of Crosman airguns including barrels, bolts, trigger, Internals stocks, scope mounts…

This year at SHOT Show 2017 in Las Vegas, I found there wasn’t a lot of new Airgun products but as always there are some that stood out for me. If you want more info on each Airgun Company then make sure to watch my full interviews for this years SHOT Show 2017. So without prolonging this video any longer let’s get right into it…
Umarex Legends MP CO2 Full Auto German MP40 Replica Machine-gun:
What’s not to like about the Umarex Legends MP? It has lots of metal parts weighing in at 7.7 pounds, a 60 round steel BB magazine with a dual 12 gram CO2 system. You also get your choice of shooting either in semi auto or full auto at up to 400 fps. Personally the Umarex Legends MP was the most interesting Airgun at the show this year for me and I really think it is going to be a hit!
Umarex SA10 Blowback Pellet and BB CO2 Pistol:
Another interesting product from Umarex this year was the SA10, I am not really sure what it is exactly styled after, it’s more of a futuristic looking gun with slide venting and a thread barrel for adding a mock suppressor or compensator. What appealed to me most about the Umarex SA10 was the new magazine design that incorporates a full size drop out metal magazine with 4 rotary 8 round magazines that can be loaded with either pellets or BB’s. When you empty one 8 shot magazine you simply drop the entire mag out and swap your empty 8 shot rotary magazine for a full one. The SA10 has a nice weight of around 2 pounds and shoots up to 426 fps.
Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol:
Sig Sauer introduced their new Sig Sauer ASP P320 CO2 Pellet Pistol this year that will be replacing the P250. Like the P250 the Sig P320 has a metal slide and polymer frame but instead of a double sided 16 shot rotary magazine, the Sig ASP P320 has a newly designed and very unique 30 round belt fed magazine. That’s nearly double the capacity without having to flip the magazine around part way through shooting. It’s great to see innovations like this happening in the airgun market.
Crosman Remington 1875 Shell Loading CO2 Pellet and BB Revolver:
Crosman introduced their own Single Action Old West Revolver this year in the form of the Remington 1875. Like the super popular Umarex Single Action Army Revolvers, the Remington 1875 is also shell loading and uses 12 gram CO2. You have the option of shooting either Pellets or BB’s out of its smooth bore barrel. I expect the Crosman Remington 1875 Shell Loading Revolver to be another popular Old West Airgun Revolver.
Crosman PSM45 Single Shot Spring Powered BB Pistol:
The Crosman PSM45 at first glance may not seem that interesting, after all it’s all plastic on the outside and only shoots about 200 fps! On the plus side it kind of looks like a Glock and we all know how hard it is to find airguns these days that resemble a Glock. I also like the fact that there is no need for any CO2, and most springers out there look like springers while the Crosman PSM45 looks like a real semi auto pistol. The PSM45 even has pretty decent weight to it since there are lots of internal metal parts and a full size drop out metal magazine which was a real surprise in such an entry level low cost pistol. If you’re looking for a fun inexpensive replica plinker than the Crosman PSM45 should fit the bill. On a side not the PSM45 would also make a really great low cost prop since the slide does work and it has that full size drop out magazine!
ASG Dan Wesson 715 2.5 and 4 inch Shell Loading CO2 Revolvers:
The ASG Dan Wesson Revolver has always been a popular choice, and then the Dan Wesson 715 came out improving on the design by adding extra weight and smoothing out the mechanics. How do you top that? Well by giving us some more options like barrel lengths. You now have your choice of a 2.5, 4 or 6 inch barrel for the Dan Wesson 715 and of course you will be able to buy your 715 pick in 4.5mm Steel BB, 6mm Plastic Airsoft or .177 Caliber Pellet ammunition versions. My personal choice may be the 4 inch Dan Wesson 715 since it has the addition of an integrated accessory rail machined into the outer barrel for lasers or tach lights.
Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nogant CO2 BB Rifle:
The Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nogant CO2 BB Rifle is not a new replica gun this year but it has been a hard one to get your hands on. In fact up until SHOT Show 2017 I had never seen one in person and so the Gletcher M1944 is new to me. I was very impressed with the quality of the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nogant, it has a lot of metal parts including the swing out bayonet and even the simulated wood stock looks like real wood. I even had to take a second look and ask before confirming that the stock is in fact plastic on the Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nogant. I am looking forward to reviewing this rifle in the future when I do finally get one!
Of course there where other interesting products at SHOT Show 2017 this year but those are the products that stood out the most for me. Again make sure to watch my full interview videos to find out more about all the new products at this years SHOT Show.

Sorry there is no Interview this time with KWA but I did talk a lot with the KWA folks over at SHOT Show this year and I even got to test out their Laser Targeting System designed to be used with several specifi KWA guns by laser-ammo.com.
Unfortunately we don't carry the KWA brand in the replica Airguns store, a few models sneak in when being distriubted by another company like ASG in the case of the ASG MP9. I would love to carry KWA Airsoft Products in the future since they really do make very high quality Airsoft guns.
KWA has a great selection of Airsoft pistols and rifles in both Gas Blowback and AEG formats. The quality reminds me of the KJWors Airsoft guns we sell in the Replica Airguns Canada Store, you can really feel the quality when you pick them up and hold them for yourself.
