Now that I'm making dedicated Chronograph videos of my air guns, I have been asked several times now to also Chrony my Cybergun Sig Sauer P226 X-Five and Cybergun GSG 92 CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB guns. Well, here is the first video of the two very popular Cybergun pistols.

My Chronograph results where very good with an average 8 shot FPS result of 328! I also took some extra time to revisit my target result testing and shot the Sig Sauer BB shooter at a target from 20 feet out in a free standing position and it got about a 1.5 inch grouping which is very respectable for a blowback BB shooter.

Lastly a pulled out my Casio high-speed camera and took some video of the blowback action of the Cybergun Sig Sauer P226 X-Five at 210 frames per second.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ASG STI Duty One 1911 is nice and light due to its true blowback operation that cocks the hammer back with each shot taken. The pull is rather long but nothing really happens till you get right to the end and then there is just a slight bit of pressure and a quick release.
Accuracy: I shot the STI Duty One 1911 air gun at a target from 20 feet away in a free standing position, and it performed well getting a 1.5 to 2 inch grouping right in the center of the target. The rear sight is adjustable for windage which is always nice to have just in case you are shooting a bit to the left or right. For me there was no need to adjust the sights. My Chrony testing with an eight shot averaged result was 373 fps - very decent for a blowback pistol!
Build Quality: ASG did an awesome job designing and making the STI Duty One 1911 Blowback BB gun, they didn't really compromise on anything other than the polymer frame! With that said all that important parts like the Slide, Slide Catch, Safety, Mag Release, Hammer, Barrel and Magazine are all metal. The fit and finish as with all the ASG air guns is excellent!
Realism: The ASG STI Duty One 1911 Blowback is a really close replica to the real steel STI 1911, the only real giveaway is the trigger design, as a true 1911 trigger is not your typical lever type. Even with the different type of trigger the STI Duty One is a very good replica complete with all the STI licensing and trademarks.

I am quickly realizing that ASG is a company that makes not only some really nice air pistols, but also ones with excellent quality control and design. The STI Duty One 1911 Blowback CO2 BB gun is no exception to this and I found it a blast to shoot because it felt great in the hand, shot hard and on target, performed flawlessly and I was able to get a lot of shots from a CO2 even with the blowback and high fps for a blowback shooter. If you're a 1911 fan or you simply like full size guns that mean business, then take a look at the ASG STI Duty One 1911 Blowback CO2 BB pistol. If I had to pick one BB shooter to take out for a day of plinking, this would probably be the one!

Along with my Steyr M9-A1 that arrived today, I also received my ASG STI Duty One 1911 Blowback BB Pistol. I have to say every single ASG product that I have received to date has just really been a high quality product with absolutely excellent quality control. And my STI 1911 Duty One is no exception.

The ASG STI 1911 is not entirely metal but it does have good weight and it does have metal where you want like in the slide, barrel, trigger, hammer, magazine, magazine release button, safety and slide catch. The frame is however polymer.

It was nice to see an adjustable rear sight for windage and like a true 1911 the ASG STI 1911Duty One is single action only so you will need to cock the hammer or rack the slide to get it going. I'm really looking forward to shooting this gun tomorrow so look forward to that YouTube video review coming up very shortly, maybe even by tomorrow night I'll have it up?

I did a full review of the ASG CZ 75 P-07 DUTY a while back but I didn't include any actual footage of the CZ 75 shooting. This BB shooter has a nice blowback action so I wanted to show you how this semi auto air pistol cycled in regular speed and then slowed down to 420 frames per second with my Casio high speed camera.

I wanted to go back and do a full Chronograph Chrony test for my Umarex PX4 Storm and I thought I may as well do a live target shooting test while I was at it. I also thought I would try out my under barrel laser sight and see how it worked and what it looked like while filming it shooting in action. The PX4 shot an average of around 340 fps using 6.9 grain RWS pellets.

And lastly, I pulled out my Casio high speed camera and shot the blowback action of the PX4 Storm, first in real time and then also slowed down to 420 frames per second.

Today I got my Cybergun Full Auto CO2 powered BB shooting Mini UZI out for a Chrony Chronograph test. As stated by the factory, this BB shooting Mini UZU is supposed to shoot right around 344 fps which is not bad for a true blowback airgun. And what I mean by true blowback - it's when an airgun uses some of the CO2 power to cycle the action of the gun, which cocks the firing mechanism and loads a BB all in the blink of an eye - just like a real semi auto shooter.

The Cybergun Mini UZI shot nicely between 350 and 360 fps - again, another impressive result even on a not too warm day! (10 degrees Celsius - 50 degrees fahrenheit)

I also took the opportunity to film the Cybergun Mini UZI shooting in full auto, at target while I used my high speed Casio camera to slow down what was actually happening. The result is you can really see all that's going on while you fire this dynamic air gun.

Keep in mind that the Cybergun Mini UZI does not come from the factory with the full auto feature. It is an easy mod however, and I have a video here on how to do it.

Yet another Chronograph video! I'm working my way through my air guns and starting with the ones that I have been asked about the most, and that I'm also the most interested in finding out what the true "real word" feet per second ratings are.

Todays Chrony Chronograph test was done on my Umarex Magnum Research Desert Eagle Blowback CO2 .177 caliber pellet pistol. The factory rating was stated as being a respectable 425 fps which is pretty good for a blowback pellet shooter. The Umarex Desert Eagle is a crisp and accurate shooter that likes to eat up CO2 cartridges, so the factory claims are believable!

I am happy to say that on a fresh CO2 cartridge, in not too warm spring Vancouver weather, I not only hit the 425 claimed fps, but exceeded it with a few shots.

Today, my ASG CZ 75 P-07 DUTY and Dan Wesson 6 and 8 inch Revolvers arrived along with an Umarex Colt Special Combat. This is kind of a big deal because all of these guns virtually don't exist here in North America. I have been wanting these guns for some time but until now, I had no way to get them! I guess the best part of having a web-store is I have a say in what we are going to carry. And lucky for me I have a really resourceful product manager who was able to locate and import these fine guns not only for myself but also for anyone else here in North America wanting to place an order for one in our Replica Airguns Store.

Let's take a quick look - I won't get too detailed as I will be doing dedicated reviews for all of these guns shortly...

The ASG Dan Wesson's:  6 inch Silver and 8 inch Black

Right off the bat, both of these guns are just flawless. Their finish and quality control is top notch. They have a good solid weight to them and all the moving parts feel tight and responsive. They offer both double and single action and come with a speed loader and six brass shells where the 4.5mm BB's are located. You also have the option of using the included accessory rail for mounting a scope or Red Dot sight.

ASG CZ 75 P-07 DUTY

Again I was really impressed with the quality of this blowback 4.5mm BB shooter! Even though the CZ 75 P-07 DUTY has a polymer frame it has good weight to it, probably because of the metal slide and good usage of metal in other areas like its drop out 20 round metal magazine and metal even in the CO2 door. There is amazing detail and realism all over this gun, it even has the original 9x19 markings on the slide and ejection port, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this air gun version and the real steel without a very close inspection!

Umarex Colt Special Combat

OK, so the Colt Special Combat isn't a blowback BB pistol! Once you pick it up and take a close look at all the work that went into this gun, you will soon forget all about the blowback. The tradeoff here is more power and usable shots along with features like an all metal design, a working slide, a full size drop free metal magazine, adjustable sights and both a single and double action trigger. Having a classic 1911 that is as nice as this one in my airgun collection is a real treat!

A little less than two months ago I hit 500 subscribers over on my YouTube Channel. So I held a little contest where today I am giving away an Umarex PPK CO2 BB Pistol to one luck contestant. And that lucky contest entry just happens to be ChairmanLao1911.

I ran out of room for all my air guns and blank guns in my gun locker a while ago and so I have been on the lookout for a safe way to keep my air and blank guns secured and out of reach.

I have two little kids and I do make a point to keep an unloaded air gun around for them to check out and get used to, (so it's not such a big deal down the road for them). I have started to at least make them aware of what guns are and not to handle guns unless an adult is around and says it's OK. I want them to know early on that guns can be very dangerous when used the wrong way. But thats' another article on it's own!

I have been considering another gun locker or safe but they can be very expensive and are usually limited in size, especially if you're looking for an inexpensive one. In Canada, air guns and non-prohibited blank guns don't technically legally need to be locked in a gun safe or gun cabinet but personally I still feel the need to keep my air and blank guns locked up to some degree. So I thought, what about some sort of a lockable storage or utility cabinet?

I finally came across what I think is an excellent solution and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg! I went with an upright utility cabinet from Black & Decker (SpaceAir Collection). Mine is 70 inches tall, 15 inches deep, and 27 inches wide. It's made out of sturdy plastic and most importantly it's lockable!

I went with a pretty large utility cabinet as I have lots of air and blank guns but if you have a small to medium air and blank gun collection, you could always get the half size shorter version of this type of unit.
