In this Field Test Shooting Video I put the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles through their paces to find out what the actual Velocity is and how Accurate they both are in both semi and full auto. I use .20 gram Airsoft BB’s for all of the test and I also use an 11.1 volt battery in each Airsoft Rifle. Starting off with the velocity or fps for the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles I place 4-5 rounds through my Chronograph and average the shots out to see what the fps is. Arcturus claims around 380-400 fps but I actually got a bit hotter velocities from both guns with the AR06 averaging 401 fps and the NY03CB averaging 412 fps. Both where supper consistent with their fps, about 2-3fps between the highest and lowest shots.
For my Accuracy Test I shot both the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles in semi auto first using 10 rounds to find out what the groupings looked like at 30 feet away. I then switch both AEG Airsoft Guns over to full auto and dumped a spring load full form the high-cappa magazine into the paper target setup again at 30 feet down range to see if the groupings opened up much more. The Arcturus AR06 did place all 10 rounds right in about a 1 inch grouping just a tad low and ever so slightly to the left of the bullseye, while the Arcturus NY03CB again got close to the 1 inch grouping but had a few outliers that spread it out to closer to 2 inches, it may hav been me as human factor is for sure a possibility. The Arcturus NY03CB did shoot a little bit closer to the bullseye out of the box but both of these Arcturus AEG Airsoft Rifles have fully adjustable sights. When it came to full auto, both rifles groupings opened up a bit, but not much as the recoil on these AEG rifles is not really a factor.
As I mention in this video, there is a rather large price difference of around $200 extra for the Arcturus AR06 which does get you more metal and some upgrades internally but in the end they both performed about the same, so either choice would be good. I personally like the all metal and look of the Arcturus AR06 but if you want a similar performing AEG and save some money then grab the Arcturus NY03CB.

First I placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph shooting .20 gram Airsoft BB’s and I found the Arcturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle to be on the higher fps range and it was very consistent with the fastest shot hitting 401 fps and the slowest shot hitting 393. This average an impressive 398 fps which could be a bit hot for some Airsoft Game shooting situations, but perhaps ideal when shooting outdoors at longer ranges.
I then placed a fresh paper target up 30 feet down range and proceeded to shot 10 rounds into the target using a seated and rested shooting position. I followed this up with a spring full of BB’s in full auto in semi auto and full auto getting a bit tighter group in semi auto then I did in full auto but this is generally the case. I did have a bit of trouble with the magazine not loading Airsoft BB’s even though I did tighten the spring fully between testing. Perhaps the magazine needed some break in time or was even defective? Out of the box the Arcturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle shot very close to the bullseye but just a tad to the left but not by much. The sights are adjustable for elevation if need be, or you can put a compact red dot sight on the rail for spot on accuracy.
I really did like the Arcturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle as it performed very well for me in terms of both power and accuracy other then the magazine acting up. I would most likely add a compact red dot sight on the rail as the built in sights are limited in terms of windage adjustments. You can also see in this video that I had to take off the top dust receiver cover in order to place the battery in it, you will need a very specific and compact battery in order to have it installed and be able to close the top cover. Those two things aside the Arcturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle is a great choice if you are looking for a compact and more modernized AK type AEG Airsoft Rifle. I really did like the Arcturus AK06 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle as it performed very well for me in terms of both power and accuracy. I was not a fan of the built in sights as the notch in the back was so low that it barely lined up allowed for it to be inline with the front post sight, I kind of had to guess where the notch was to make it work. I First off this Field Test Shooting Video Review for the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is going to be more like reviewing a NERF gun, well at least in terms of performance. I do however test it out just like I test all Airsoft Pistols by shooting 5 rounds through the Chronograph to see what the average velocity is in fps. Then I shoot some rounds at a paper target setup 30 feet downrange to see how accurate the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is. OK, so starting with velocity, I have to say it shot well below the claimed 180fps on the clamshell packaging, keep in mind this is for .12 gram Airsoft BB’s and I was using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s so almost twice as heavy which should mean about half the speed and that’s about what I got. I was able to get an average fps of 95 with my slowest shot hitting 94 fps and my fastest shot hitting 96 fps so very consistently slow :)
What about accuracy? Could the mighty Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol at least redeem itself here… Well not really! It was hard to fully determine exactly where my shots where hitting the paper target as it seems 95 fps is not powerful enough to even penetrate the paper. All I could do was put little dings in the paper which are bit hard to make out. My best guess is I should be able to hit a standard sheet of paper at 30 feet away once I figure out where the center point is. I was shooting at the bullseye and hit most shots rather low on the target with several of them being too low to get on the paper. In full auto things did not get much better, but full auto with this little pea shooter is kind of fun, so just keep the selector on full auto all the time… I would!
Getting back to the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol being more like a NERF gun, I say this because it is way too underpowered to use in any Airsoft wars as people probably won’t even know they got hit! But perhaps it is just perfect for indoor NERF type shootouts? I can’t see the Umarex HK P30 doing any type of damage to your surroundings or to yourself but always make sure to wear eye protection when shooting as even an eye lash can feel like murder in the eye let alone a 6mm Airsoft BB. The only real downside I can see to using the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol indoors like a NERF gun would be the cleanup of all the microscopic Airsoft BB’s, you will probably be finding them under furniture and in crazy spots for months afterwards. All in all, the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol may just be perfect for some indoor fun on those rainy days!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KJ Works KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is what you would expect for a true Single Action Only Trigger which is nice and light. There is a bit of take up but you can feel the point near the back where the release kicks in which is extremely predictable with no play in it. Of course you will need to rack the slide in order to place a round in the breach and fire the first shot, after that the blowback action will do all the work for you.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the KJWorks KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol or done my Field Test Performance Video. I would expect the KJWorks KP-13 to perform like the other KJWork Airsoft Pistols I have reviewed in the past, which generally hits the claimed fps. Keep in mind the claimed fps is with the extended barrel and I more than likely will be using the preinstalled shorter non extendable barrel which will have a slower fps for sure. Accuracy should be decent but we will find out when I make my Field Test Shooting video!
Build Quality: The KJWorks line of Airsoft Guns is know for overall good quality so I expect theKJ Works KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol to be just the same. From my initial first impressions everything looks really good, fit and finish are excellent and as expected you will find metal parts and polymer parts in all the same places you would find them in a real steel modern semi auto pistol.
Realism: The KJ Works KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol is not an exact replica of a specific semi auto pistol but yo could say it looks a little bit like a Glock ;) You need to be careful when it comes to Glock as they do not like it when companies copy their guns and rightly so. There is enough differences with the KJ Works KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol so it should not set off any alarms over at Glock. I do like the two tone tan and black color scheme KJ Works went with for the KP-13 but if you like a more traditional look you can always go with the all black version.
Pros:
Metal and Polymer with decent weight and good feel to it.
Heavy Full blowback operation.
Excellent fit and finish as always with KJWorks pistols.
High capacity full size drop out metal magazine that holds the CO2 and 24 rounds.
Well hidden safety incorporated into the serial number under the barrel.

If you’re looking for a pistol that is similar to a Glock for training purposes but is unique in its own way and doesn’t have to be a Glock, then perhaps the KJ Works KP-13 CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol may be for you. I like the fact that it has its own style to it and is not just another Glock or Glock Copy. I also like that the KP-13 comes with a CO2 magazine rather than a Green Gas Magazine which will get you a bit higher velocity and more mag fills before requiring to gas up again. I personally like the two tone version but get what you like best, it’s good to have options!

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol is what I would describe as closer to a DOA (Double Action Only) trigger. The blowback action does retract the internal hammer/striker which does relieve some of the trigger pull but the trigger is also used to rotate the belt magazine which gives the trigger a kind of friction feel especially right at the end of the pull where the rotation occurs. That said it is not a terrible trigger like some other belt fed Airguns but it is certainly nutlike a standard SAO type Glock trigger.
Accuracy: At this point I have not shot the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol so I can only quote what Umarex is saying in terms of FP2 which is 370. That sounds a bit high for a pellet Airgun but they may be claiming this velocity using a light weight pellets perhaps made out of an alloy rather than lead? I guess we will find out the real world fps using lead pellets and also how accurate it will be when I do my Full Field Test Shooting Video.
Build Quality: The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol like most of the Umarex Glocks is very well made. I am thinking that Glock to allow Umarex to license Glock Pistols hammy have a quality control as part of this license agreement? Either way the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol is a solid and well built Airgun all around with quality material and very good fit and finish.
Realism: The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol in terms of realism as compared to a real steel Glock 19 Gen 5 for sure hits the mark in most categories. It is a bit lighter and you can not field strip it easily, there is also the not so much recessed barrel that is a bit of a giveaway but in terms of most other attributes the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 replicates a real Glock… Including the basic looks and feel, the metal slide and polymer frame, the full size drop out metal magazine, the blowback action and most of the working parts including the slide catch release, magazine release and trigger safety.
Pros:
Good weight and feel to it, build quality and fit and finish seem very good.
Really nice looking and full featured replica of the original Glock 17 Gen 5.
Fully Glock licensed via Umarex.
Easy to see white dot sights front and back.
Working trigger safety.
Accessory rail for adding a laser or tactical light.

I think many of us having been waiting for a pellet shooting version of the Glock from Umarex. I am a bit surprised they went with a belt fed version as belt fed magazines tend to be a bit on the heavy trigger pull side. Yes the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol has a stronger trigger pull as compared to a 4.5mm BB or 6mm Airsoft version of the same Umarex gun, as most of these Umarex based Glocks utilize a SAO trigger which is more comparable to a real steel Glock. On the plus side the Pellet version should be a bit more accurate, but we will see how this pans out when I do my comprehensive Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 CO2 Blowback Pellet Pistol.

Trigger Pull: The trigger on the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is electric as it is an AEG Pistol that requires batteries to operate. The trigger is basically an ON/Off switch that activates the blowback which also seems to create the pressure to propel an Airsoft BB. Mind you not all that fast but fast enough for perhaps a more safe indoor/basement type Airsoft war? Getting back to the trigger pull I would say it is light but on the ing side for an AEG.
Accuracy: You will have to stay posted for my proper Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol. That said I did pop off a magazine of BB’s (16 rounds), some in semi auto and some in full auto. Do not expect this Airsoft pistol to be all that powerful as it can barely penetrate a paper target. I was expecting the cycle rate of full auto to feel slower than it actually shot so that’s a good thing! I see this as almost an alternative to a nerf gun but using Airsoft BB’s. Do this at your own risk and please use proper eye protection. I can not comment too much on accuracy as I was just pointing and shooting to get a basic feel for the gun.
Build Quality: The Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a low cost all plastic Airsoft pistol which kind of says it all. Being super light weight means if you drop it, chances are it will be fine because it is so light weight. Fit and finish are decent but without seeing what’s inside I can only guess at how long it will last.
Realism: The Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a true licensed replica via Umarex. It is about the right shape and size as a real HK P30 and other than the orange tip could fool most people unless really close up to it and of course holding it. It also has a kind of out of place grip safety on the front which is not an HK attribute. Being an AEG with batteries in the grip there is no full size magazine and again as it is all plastic it does not have nearly the same weight as a real HK P30. The only working mechanical parts are essentially the trigger, grip safety and selector switch in the trigger area.

The Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is a rather different sort of beast! On one hand it is not what you would expect to see someone using in an Airsoft game but I really don’t think that’s what it is meant for anyway. It’s really just a fun gun for plinking without having to worry to much about safety as if you do something stupid, the consequences will not be too sever! I would say it could possibly be used as an alternate to using a Nerf gun for fun little backyard squishes or shooting indoors. The Umarex HK P30 AEG Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is not for everyone but I am guessing it could be a lot of fun when used in the right situations.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles like other AEG Rifles is not mechanical as they are essentially electrical driven so basically the trigger is an on/off switch that is closest in feel to a single action only trigger since it is light and short. You will notice a slight delay between pressing the trigger and the actual round being fired since the trigger activates a motor which first pulls the air spring back. Once the spring is fully drawn back it releases and compresses the air which then propelled the 6mm Airsoft BB. The higher voltage battery you use like an 11.1 volt will shorten the delay as the motor will spin faster and pull back the spring quicker allowing for less noticeable delay and also a higher rate of full auto fire which in this rifle is very noticeable.
Accuracy: I have not Field Test Reviewed either the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles or even tried them out yet. I hope to get to my Field Test Shooting Video for both of them later next week, until then we can assume they will shoot similar to most other AEG rifles with tighter bore barrels. I am expecting at least a 2 inch grouping at 30 feet down range in semi auto. In terms of velocity the test paper which they come with claims around 390+fps.
Build Quality: The Arcturus AR06 is a mostly metal with a full metal receiver while the NY03CB has a polymer or plastic receiver which from what I can tell only other components being plastic would be the pistol grips and rear stock. other metal parts on both AR type Airsoft Rifles would be the rail setup, the barrel, the charging handle, the buffer tube, the dust cover, the trigger, the selector switch, the magazine release and bolt release. Fit and finish for both guns is very good.
Realism: The Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifles are based on the AR platform with both versions looking the part of a real steel AR. They do come with the removable orange tips installed but they also come with black flash hiders so you can easily switch them out adding to the realism. The metal receiver on the AR06 does give it a bit more weight but even the NY03CB has a decent weight and solid feel to it. Most of the controls work just like a real steel AR including the charging handle, bolt release, selector switch and magazine release.
Pros:
Two versions to meat your budget, both great options.
Quality components throughout both versions. Only real difference is nylon fiber receiver vs metal receiver and slight upgrade motor on AR06 version from Long Type to Long Type 19k torque motor on AR06.
Have been quality control inspected including 5 round recorded fps test with .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.
Both have a functioning bolt catch.
Both come with Quick release two position fully adjustable pop-up sights.
Both come with additional black flash hiders.
Lots of rial mounting options in Picatinny and M-LOK.

Comments:
Like the AK series of Acturus AEG Airpot Rifles, the Arcturus AR06 - NY03CB AEG are good value for the money with the AR06 offering a slightly higher premium over the lower cost NY03CB. But don’t let the lower price fool you into thinking you are getting a sub-standard product as both versions are built with many of the same components. I personally like the more compact look of the Arcturus AR06 AEG Airsoft Rifle but then again the price of the NY03CB AEG Airsoft Rifle is hard to ignore. Either way you can’t go too wrong so make your pick and enjoy owning one of them.

In this Preview Review Video I take a look at 4 newer products now in our Replica Airguns Online Store. One is a 4.5mm Steel BB Revolver, two are 6mm Airsoft Pistols and one is a .68 caliber Paintball Shotgun.
The first item I take look at in this video is the Umarex HK30 AEG Airsoft Pistol, this product is pretty entry level with analyst all plastic build and is very light to hold. It does however shoot in both semi and full auto since it is an AEG Airsfto Pistol (not many of them out there). The fps is rather low at a claimed fps at just under 200, the Umarex HK30 AEG Airsoft Pistol also comes with two 16 round remove; plastic magazines. Who knows, maybe it will be fun?
Next I take a look at the ASG Dan Wesson 2.5 inch 4.5mm Steel BB Gold Revolver. This is a CO2 powered shell loading BB revolver very much like similar ones I have reviewed in the past but in Gold finish. Will the gold finishes make it perform better, well I guess we better find out!
I then take a look at a “Glock Like” CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistol for KJWorks called the KP13. It has a full size drop out metal magazine that holds the CO2 along with 24 rounds of 6mm Airsoft BB’s. The KJWorks KP-13 has a metal slide, metal magazine and polymer frame with a velocity over 360fps using the included barrel extension.
Last but perhaps the most interesting for me is the Umarex T4E HDB which is a lower cost Paintball/Rubber Ball Shotgun which could possibly be used for home protection? The T4E HDB is a mostly plastic constructed rifle with decent weight to it and uses an internal spring fed 16 round magazine. You will find all kinds of mounting points for accessories and for a sling on the Umarex T4E HDB and again at much lower cost than similar T4E rifle based Paintball/Rubber ball Airguns.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle like other AEG Rifles is not mechanical as it is essentially electrical driven so basically it is an on/off switch that is closest in feel to a single action only trigger since it is light and short. You will notice a slight delay between pressing the trigger and the actual round being fired since the trigger activates a motor which first pulls the air spring back. Once the spring is fully drawn back it releases and compresses the air which then propelled the 6mm Airsoft BB. The higher voltage battery you use like an 11.1 volt will shorten the delay as the motor will spin faster and pull back the spring quicker allowing for less noticeable delay and also a higher rate of full auto fire which in this rifle is very noticeable.
Accuracy: I have not Field Test Reviewed the Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle or even tried it out yet. I hope to get to my Field Test Shooting Video for the AK05 later next week, until then we can assume it will shoot similar to most other AEG rifles with tighter bore barrels. I am expecting at least a 2 inch grouping at 30 feet down range in semi auto. In terms of velocity the test paper work it comes with claims around 390+fps.

The receiver and top dust cover are both hardened steel with the receiver made out of stamped steel just like areal AK. Realism: The Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle is based on the AK platform with this version being a more compact and tactical model. Externally it looks the part for sure, holding it in your hands it feels the part too. As expected the insides are all Airsoft but you would need ot take the dust cover off or pull back the charging handle to figure this out. Again the Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle is an almost all metal Airsoft Gun with an actual stamped steel receiver and steel dust cover, it’s hard to get much more realistic looking and feeling than that.

The Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle along with the other Acturus AK Airsoft Rifles is in my opinion one of the nicest AEG AK based Airsoft rifles you can get, at least in the mid price ranges. Being all metal with actual stamped steel parts really makes the AK05 feel realistic and of high quality. If you’re looking for something with a bit more heft than the Acturus AK06 that has a more useful rear stock at least in terms of adjustability and don’t mind giving up some of the compact features of the AK06 then perhaps the AK05 is more for you. IN my opinion the Acturus AK05 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle is a great combination of quality, size and features, hopefully my upcoming Field Test Shooting Review backs up the performance aspect and we can add that to the list.

The Acturus AK06 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle along with the other Acturus AK Airsoft Rifles is in my opinion one of the nicest AEG AK based Airsoft rifles you can get, at least in the mid price ranges. Being all metal with actual stamped steel parts really makes the AK06 feel realistic and of high quality. I also like the compact tactical features of the Acturus AK06 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle making it easy to put in a backpack but not too heavy to lug around all day long. The Acturus AK06 AK AEG Airsoft Rifle also has a decent velocity and fairly fast rate of fire especially when using a higher voltage battery so you can expect excellent performance even from such a small compact AEG Airsoft Rifle.

In this Preview Unboxing Video I Take a look at 4 new Airsoft products from Arcturus all of them being AEG Airsoft Rifles with two based on the AK platform and the other two based on the AR platform. Three of the AEG Airsoft Rifles are mostly metal while I also feature a lower cost version with a Nylon Fiber Polymer receiver. All of these Replica AEG Airsoft Rifles are very good quality but you will get all metal (mostly steel and aluminum) build and a Hi-Cap and Mid-Cap magazine with the higher cost versions.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is single action only which means you will need to rack the slide to not only draw the hammer back but to also chamber the first round. After that the blowback action will do this for you until you are out of ammo and then the slide will lock back. You can also manually draw the hammer back if a round is already chambered. The trigger itself is really nice, it’s light, super short with a crisp light release perfect for fast action shooting.
Accuracy: At this point I have not made my Field Test Shooting portion of my review for the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol so I really don’t know what to expect? KWC claims an fps of 360 using CO2 as its power source and it is a realistic velocity based on previous Velocity tests with similar KWC Airsoft Guns. In terms of accuracy, again I have no idea since I have not reviewed this version of Desert Eagle before. So stay posted till next week when I make the Field Test Shooting Review for it.
Build Quality: Overall the metal and plastic build quality of the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is good. It is mostly metal with a plastic frame, the real steel version would have an aluminum frame and has a weight closer to 4 pounds total so a bit lighter in terms of weight compared to the powder burning version. The fit and finishes look good.
Realism: The KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol is an excellent Replica Airsoft version of the real steel L6 Desert Eagle including the top and bottom rails and the ported front barrel. It also has full blowback action and you can fully field strip it. I like the addition of the fingered grips which I think adds ot the overall looks and function of this Airsoft Pistol.
Pros:
Lots of metal and good overall weight to it.
Very accurate replica of Desert Eagle L6.
Ergonomic rubberized grips.
Semi and full auto selectable.
Adjustable hop-up.
No orange tip.
CO2 for more power over GBB.
Uses standard KWC CO2 Desert Eagle magazines.

Frame is plastic so compared to real steel version is much lighter.

Very large gun with large grips so not suitable for smaller handed shooters.
Comments: Going off just the looks and feel for the KWC DE L6 Desert Eagle CO2 Blowback Full Auto Airsoft Pistol I can say for sure I do like it compared ot the standard KWC Desert Eagle with its venting up front and its ergonomic rubberized grips. I hope when I perform the Field Test Shooting Video fo fit it it performs well as the price point is good at around $200 Canadian and who doesn't want to have a Desert Eagle in their Replica Airgun collection at the end of the day!

In this Field Test Shooting Video I test out the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG 4.5mm BB Rifle to test out the velocity along with the accuracy and also get an idea on what the rate of fire is in Full Auto mode as on the box it claims 550 rounds per minute using what I would assume is a 7.4 volt battery. I wanted to test the BARRA 400e using an 11.1 volt battery but mine died on me. I will more than likely make a short video where I test out the 11.1 volt battery to see how this effects the rate of fire. Starting with testing out the Velocity for the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG 4.5mm BB Rifle I shoot 6 rounds through my Chronograph to average out the fps and I was able to average 385 fps which is fairly close to the claimed 410 fps. Temperature does not effect an AEG as no CO2 is being used. Battery voltage also does not effect velocity as long as there is enough voltage to make the AEG motor pull the spring all the way back. Only trigger delay and rounds per minute are effected by battery voltage.
Moving on to my accuracy findings, I loaded up a full 50 round magazine and first unloaded 10 rounds fairly quickly into my paper target setup 30 feet down range shooting from a seated shooting position with the BARRA 400e resting on a sand bag up front. I was impressed to get close to a 1 inch 10 round grouping that placed just a little to the left and down from the bullseye right out of the box. I could easily center the sights as they are fully adjustable. I then switched the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG 4.5mm BB Rifle to full auto and shot the remaining 40 or so rounds into the same paper target and even though the grouping opened up a little bit, it was not by much so accuracy in semi and full auto is very good with the BARRA 400e.
I have to say the rate of fire on the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG 4.5mm BB Rifle using a 7.4 volt battery is rather slow even compared to other Airsoft AEG Full Auto Airguns but I still yet have to test it out using a brand new 11.1 volt Lithium battery so I do expect the rate of fire to improve a noticeable amount. Stay posted for that update video. Even with the slower rate of fire from the BARRA 400e this gun is awesome, it is really accurate and the velocity stays super consistent since CO2 cool down is not a factor. The mostly all metal construction and overall quality is very good and the fact that this is really the first commercial AEG 4.5mm Steel BB Rifle makes that alone a great reason to pick one up.

Once I have this battery I will be able to make my Field Test Shooting Video for it. It should have a very consistent velocity since there is no CO2 cool down to factor in so each shot when I Chronograph it should be very similar in fps. I also expect accuracy to be decent since there will not be a lot of recoil as there is no blowback action here.
Build Quality: The BARRA 400e AEG Full Auto BB Rifle is almost all metal in design with an actual CNC machined aluminum hand guard and reciever! It feels very solid when holding it and the fit and finishes are really good. The only plastic I noticed on this AEG styled BB Rifle are the rear stock, pistol grip, and pop-up sights, everything else as far as I can tell are made out of metals.
Realism: The BARRA 400e AEG Full Auto BB Rifle is based on the AR platform in terms of its overall design and looks like a sub variant for sure. It is missing the default forward assist but in all the AIrgun versions of AR typo rifles the forward assist is just for show since there is nothing to assist with an Airgun. Most mechanical parts work as you would expect like the charging handle, magazine release, sectors switch, dust cover and of course the trigger.
Pros:
No CO2 required so cost to shoot is less.
Very consistent velocity as there is no cool down effect from CO2 cooling the gun.
Have the option to shoot in semi or full auto modes.
Almost all metal construction, very solid feeling gun.
Lots of rail option for mounting accessories (Picatinny on the top and M-LOK on sides and bottom).
Flip up sights use a dual mode, when not flipped up you have finer optic lower profile sights, when up there is a post in the front and peep in the back.
6 position adjustable rear stock.
Nice high capacity 50 round magazine, will need more mags for sure since you get 1000 shots per battery charge.
Comes with a speed loader too.
Lots of working parts including the charging handle, dust cover, magazine release, selector switch.

The BARRA 400e AEG Full Auto BB Rifle is something new to the Airgun industry and I always like it when a company doesn’t just make their own version of something we already have in the market and basically just put their branding and licensing on all the same guns. BARRA has made what I believe to be the first AEG 4.5mm Steel BB rifle at least one that has come to market and I always wondered why nobody has tried this before? Well here it is and now we get to see how well an AEG performs with 4.5mm Steel BB’s! Maybe this will start a new market of AEG type 4.5mm Steel BB Guns? I say if it works, well then go for it.

One is traditionally CO2 operated and the other is AEG operated which is a very new concept for a 4.5mm Steel BB Airgun. I have always wondered why nobody had attempted an AEG 4.5mm Steel BB gun before so here we have the first one to be released…
Starting with the Crosman R1 Fallen Patriots Full Auto CO2 BB Rifle it is essential a re-skinned R1 with a very unique coloration and of course the Fallen Patriots markings on it. The main receiver is a gun metal grey with black and red accents throughout and a purple-blue magazine. It really is stunning to look at and perhaps my favorite Crosman AR series Full Auto BB Gun to date. You do get pop-up Iron sights rather than a red dot which I feel suits this Airgun best and everything else in terms of specifications will be the same as the R1 so check that rifle out for more info.
Now the BARRA 400e is really something new to Steel BB Guns, basically it steals the AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) from what is typically reserved for Airsoft Rifles. I have always wondered why this technology has never been transferred over to 4.5mm Steel BB Airguns? Well now it has with the BARRA 400e Full Auto AEG BB Rifle. According to BARRA you can export to get around 410 fps and that should be super consistent since there is no CO2 cool down effect. You can also shoot in semi or full auto and it has a 50 round magazine that comes with a speed loader for easy loading. Another point to mention is that the BARRA 400e is almost all metal and feels really solid.

Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only. Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets. Ammunition Capacity: 16 rounds (2x8). FPS: 360-370.
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is a bit on the medium to heavy side so it’s not going to make for the best action shooter as it is a double action only shooter when compared to a single action only trigger or a single and double action trigger. As with most double action triggers it is a bit longer and slightly heavy but not unusable, just be prepared to get a little bit of a finger workout.
Accuracy: I have not shot the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol just yet but will be doing so probably next week so stay posted for my Full Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol. I expect it to perform well in terms of accuracy and power since there is no blowback operation to have to compensate for. Having a rifled barrel should also help with accuracy! We will see shortly.
Build Quality: The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is built as expected just like all the other KWC Airguns. KWC has been making Airguns for a while not just for themselves but for other companies like Umarex, Gletcher, ASG, Crosman and even Sig Sauer and so quality control and durability have to stand up to these manufacturers standards. You will find metal on this gun where it matter. The slide, the full size drop out metal magazine and of course lots of internal parts. The frame, magazine release, trigger and safety are all plastic. I do like the feel of the rubberized grips for sure! Fit and finish is good overall and the fact that this is a fairly simple Airgun design with no blowback action or even a moving slide, so less moving parts means there is less chance for something to go wrong so it should last a while even with a fair amount of use.
Realism: The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol shares it’s looks with the Taurus 24/7 but is not an exact replica. The trigger guard is a bit different and so is the placement of the controls and even the slide and frame are not exact but very similar. In terms of size, weight and vernal overall design for sure the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol looks a lot like a Real Steel Taurus 24/7 at first glance.
Good weight and solid feeling gun. Lots of metal where you need it in the slide, magazine and other internals.
All metal full size drop out magazine holds CO2 and 16 pellets.
Decent looking replica (but not bang on) of a Taurus 24/7.
Not a lot of writing on the gun, very clean looking (Non Ranger version).
Recessed barrel helps with look of realism.
Fiber Optic front and back sights for easy sight acquisition.
Rifled barrel will help with accuracy.
Non-blowback operation with increased fps and CO2 efficiency.
Rail on top of slide and frame for lots of accessory add on options.
Double action trigger is long but not overly heavy so should be OK for action shooting.

No blowback, slide is fixed and does not move but can be removed with a tool for internal access and cleaning.
No single action shooting so may not be the most accurate for slowed down shooting.
Sights are not adjustable but you can add an adjustable red dot to it using the rail setup.
Hard to tell when out of ammo, have to listen to the sound or count shots.

It is nice to see more full size drop out metal magazine Replica Pellet Pistols coming out in the Airgun market just liek the KWC Makarov PM I just reviewed. Generally speaking most are going to be non-blowback but there are a few blowback options. That said a Non-blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol like the KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol will typically give you a high velocity and more shots per CO2 and can even be a little bit better in the accuracy department since there is virtually no recoil from them. The KWC 24/7 TAC Non-Blowback CO2 Pellet Pistol is a nice little Taurus 24/7 looking Airgun that has a nice modern look and feel to it. Hopefully it performs well for me during my Field Test Shooting Video I will be making soon for it.

In this Field test Shooting Video I Test out the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle in the Replica Airguns Indoor Airgun Shooting Range to find out what kind of velocity we can achieve using standard .20 gram Plastic Airsoft BB’s. I also shoot 10 rounds in semi auto at my paper target 30 feet down range to see what kind of grouping I can get and then switch it over to full auto and let her rip till I am basically out of ammo and see if I can punch a nice hole in my cardboard backed target. Starting with my velocity test, I shot 5 rounds through my Chronograph using .20 gram Plastic Airsoft BB’s with the preinstalled spring and got an average of 402 fps with my lowest velocity being 400 and my highest velocity being 405 so really close in fps. You can tone down the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle a bit b y installing the M90 Spring if you find the fps to be a bit high for close quarter battles.
For the accuracy portion of this Field Test Shooting Review I proceeded to fire 10 semi auto rounds into a paper target setup 30 feet away. I use a semi rested shooting position with the Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle resting on a sand bag up front and me sitting on a stool for stability. My 10 shot grouping was all within around 1 to 1.5 inches which is very good for an Airsoft Rifle shooting lighter Plastic BB’s. I then switched the selector into “fun mode” (Full Auto) and proceeded to hold the trigger down until I ran out of spring tension on the High Cap Magazine. I would say I got through around 100+ rounds with most of them making about a 2 inch hole in my target consisting of cardboard and of course the paper target in front of it.
I have reviewed the Specula Arms line of Airsoft Rifles in the past, both the Core and the Edge and they really are great Airsoft Guns. The Specna Arms Core SA-C07-PDW AEG Airsoft Rifle as expected lived up to my expectations and performed really great in this Field Test Shooting Video. Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Stainless Ruger Mark IV Break Barrel .177 Cal Pellet Pistolis not too bad, I feel it is a around 6-7 pounds or so without measuring. In comparison to a real steel 22LR semi auto SAO trigger pistol, the trigger is much heavier but most of these 22LR pistols of this nature have what I would consider to be near perfect triggers. Over time once you get use to the pressure and release point accuracy with this pistol it is for sure possible.
Accuracy: I have tested out the all black version of this pistol which will perform exactly the same or should I say is expected to perform the same since they are virtually the exact same Pellet Pistol but in different finishes. You can watch my Field Test Shooting Video for the all black version but in case you don’t make it there I will fill you in on the basic results… In terms of velocity I averaged 312 fps using 7 grain lead pellets and got around a 2 inch 7 rounds grouping but expect with a bit more trigger time to get closer to 1 inch.
Build Quality: The Stainless Ruger Mark IV Break Barrel .177 Cal Pellet Pistolis a low cost target plinker that also doubles as a licensed Replica for that coolness factor so you won’t get an all metal super top quality build here. That said metal and plastics are well used and for sure details in the fit and finish have been improved over the Buck Mark URX version where I found the barrel felt a bit sloppy and the trigger was plastic. The Umarex Ruger Mark IV Break Barrel .177 Cal Pellet Pistol has a much tighter barrel fit when closed and the trigger is now metal! Maybe Umarex watched my video back in the day and took some notes?
Realism: The Umarex Ruger Mark IV Break Barrel .177 Cal Pellet Pistol most resembles the Mark IV Hunter edition and is pretty much bang on in terms of being a replica other than the tell tail hinge just under the barrel required for a spring piston design, there really is no way to get around this so I’m not going to criticize this minor difference. The real steel version is almost 3 pounds and so the pellet shooting version is a bit under weight so it would have been to have had more metal perhaps in the barrel and lower frame. Again since the pellet shooting version is a springer you will not have any working bolts or slide catches or a built in magazine.
Pros:
It's a decent Ruger Mark IV Replica!
Feels well built overall.
Expect it to have really good accuracy like the Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX since they share similar mechanical design.
Barrel locks into place much better than the Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX did.
Fully adjustable rear sight with fiber optic front sight.
Auto locking safety, just don’t forget to unlock before each shot
Actual metal trigger in this version.
Nice and compact, not too heavy.
Full Ruger licensed via Umarex.
Fairly low price tag.
Cons:
No built in rail for a sight system like the Umarex Browning Buck Mark URX.
Would have liked a metal trigger and maybe a slightly lighter trigger pull to match the real Buck Mark's very light trigger pull.
A bit more metal would have been nice.
Significantly more expensive than the black version which is the same exact gun in a different color.
Comments: The Stainless Ruger Mark IV Break Barrel .177 Cal Pellet Pistol is a decent looking replica and a decent pellet shooting target pistol and if you own the real steel version in 22LR you may just want to get your hands on one of these Break Barrel Replica Pellet shooters. The only real question is do you get the Stainless version with simulated wood grips or the all black version? If you like the look of the stainless version and don’t care about money whatsoever, then pickup that one up since it is a Limited Edition version that will only go up in value over time. If you are on a budget and don’t mind the look of the all black versions or maybe even prefer it then by all means grab one since at the end of the day they will both perform exactly the same.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is fairly light weight being a single action only trigger. There is about a quarter inch of take up with an easy release that is not hitchy at all. You will need to rack the slide to load your first Airsoft BB into the breach and engage the action but on the first shot but then the blowback action does this for you until the Airsoft Pistol is out of ammo and the slide locks back.
Accuracy: I have not performed my Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol so stay posted for that video coming out in the next couple of weeks. Umarex has claimed a velocity of around 410 FPS using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s but that does seem a bit quick, well will have to see when I place some shots though my Chronograph! In terms of accuracy I expect it to shoot about the same as most Full Blowback Airsoft Pistols which generally produces a 1.5 to 2 inch 10 shot grouping from 30 feet out using a semi rested shooting position. Again we will find out when I perform my Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol.
Build Quality: The Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol build quality is fairly decent, fit and finish looks good with not too much slide wiggle and the materials used are both metal and plastic or polymer that look to be good quality. I do expect some of the black finishes ot come off on the high spots as these guns are generally electroplated and not too thick with it but this can actually make the gun look more realistic with that slightly worn in look to it.
Realism: The Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol in terms of looking like the real steel version of its counterpart is very close for sure, it would be hard to tell without really taking a close look t it. Everything about this Replica Pistol works for the most part like the real steel version including most of the mechanical parts like the slide catch release, magazine release, take down lever, trigger safety and you can even fully field strip it which gives you easy access to the hopup on the barrel. Of course the full blowback action really seals the deal in terms of making this gun shoot like a real semi auto pistol.

Comments: The Umarex S&W M&P 9L Blowback CO2 Airsoft Pistol is a nice addition to the Smith & Wesson M&P line of Replica Airguns. I’m glad they made it in full blowback but being Airsoft based that is generally the way they lean towards. Hopefully we get to see 4.5mm Steel BB version too in the future! For now we have it in Airsoft and with the longer barrel perhaps it will shoot a bit hotter than most of the other CO2 Blowback Airsoft Pistols, maybe even 410fps like Umarex claims but I will be surprised if it does. I will be happy to see something in the high 300’s to be honest. No matter what, you now have yet another Smith & Wesson option to consider when looking for your ultimate Replica Airgun!
