Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun Field Test Review

At SHOT Show this year Umarex introduced the Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun which pretty much everyone seemed to like. The MP40 was their last Legends Full Auto BB Machine gun and it was also a big hit. In this Field Test Shooting Video I get to have some fun testing out the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun and see if not only does it look awesome but does it shoot awesome?

As always I like to test each gun out in the Replace Airguns Indoor Sea Can Airguns Range first placing 5 rounds through my Chronograph to find out the real world velocity of each test gun, then I shoot 10 rounds at a distance of 30 feet onto a paper target to see how tight of a grouping I can get shooting from a seated and rested position. When it come to full auto BB guns like the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun, I will usually switch up to full auto and dump the rest of the magazine to see if I can still sray on target with the remaining rounds.

For my Power or Velocity test I was using fairly new CO2, I had shot a full magazine a couple days before but the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun was all warmed up and ready to perform optimally. Umarex does state that it will shoot around 435 fps and with my 5 shot test I was able to confirm that with a 434 fps average. The temperature in the Sea Can was around 23 degrees Celsius or 73 degrees Fahrenheit.

For my accuracy test I setup a new paper target 30 feet downrange and proceeded to place 10 shots into it using the peep sights on the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun. Other than one slight flyer my 10 round grouping was around 3/4 of an inch and just a tad low of the bullseye but pretty close. I then switched over to full auto fun mode and with the remaining BB’s I unloaded all 20 rounds in about a half a second, or at least it seemed like that! The Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun even in full auto mode with the trigger matted till the gun ran out I was still able to get a 2 inch grouping!

I’m a big fan of the Umarex Legends Series BB Guns and the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun may be my favorite out of all of them to date. The Thompson M1A1 is just such a stand out Machine Gun we all know from the Mob shows. Not only does the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun look the part but it performs I would have to say so far the best when it comes to Full Auto Machine guns at least from Umarex. I do have to say that the Crosman CO2 BB AR Series does not disappoint. That said if you are looking for a more classic BB Machine Gun that performs as good as it looks then my advice is grab yourself one of the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun and add it to your collection.

Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun Table Top Review

Type: Air Rifle / Machine Gun.
Distributer: Umarex
Model: Legends M1A1.
Materials: Mostly Metal build.
Weight: 7.75 pounds (3.5 kilograms)
Barrel: 12 inches - smooth bore steel.
Propulsion: 2x12 gram CO2.
Action: Internal Bolt Blowback single action.
Ammunition Type: 4.5mm Steel BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 30 round full size drop out magazine.
Max FPS: 435.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is single action only so you will need to charge the bolt for the first shot just like you would on the real steel Thompson M1A1, after that the blowback operation will charge the bolt which allows for semi and full auto shooting. Trigger pull is not very long or heavy.

Accuracy: I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun but expect to to shoot in a similar manner to the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun. Stay posted for my future Field Test Shooting video coming later on.

Build Quality: The Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is pretty much all metal other than the stock and pistol grip. Pretty much everything that is black is going to be metal on this CO2 airgun. It weighs in at a hefty 7.75 pounds which is lighter than the real steel version by about 2 pounds but keep in mind the simulated plastic wood grips are a much lighter than real wood would be. Overall the fit and finish is really good, mechanical parts work well and seem to be well machined..

Realism: The Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun is a 1 to 1 replica of the real steel World War II Thompson M1A1 Machine Gun and is very authentic looking with similar operation. Even the magazine holds 30 rounds just like the real steel Thompson M1A1. The blowback operation will give you a little bit of that shoulder tap but of course nothing like a 45 caliber M1A1. As expected in todays Replica Airguns the barrel is recessed to give it a larger opening and the CO2 screw is hidden well enough. I would like to see at least a real wood kit for the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun which would not lonely look even better but also increase the overall weight closer to the 10 pound real steel weight.

Buy Airguns in the: Replica Airguns Store

Pros:

  • Yet another Classic Legends Replica Airgun from Umarex, maybe one of the best to date.

  • Mostly all metal design with good overall weight.

  • Semi and Full auto select-ability.

  • Dual CO2 design for increased shots and less cool down effect.

  • High capacity 30 round full size drop out metal magazine.

  • Umarex went with less rounds to get away from the double stay configuration of the 50 round Legends MP40 which was not always dependable.

  • Great looking replica of the real steel M1A1 in looks, operation and feel.

  • Internal bolt blowback will give a bit of recoil feedback feel.

  • Simulated wood looks very realistic.

  • Recessed barrel for added realism.

Cons:

  • Real wood hardware would have been cine and added  it of additional weight. Maybe Umarex will offer this down the road?

  • Price is getting up there a bit but still worth it if you are an M1A1 fan, imagine what a real one would cost?

  • Going to eat up CO2 quickly in full auto mode but you can always switch over to semi auto.

Comments:
Another great Legends product from Umarex, maybe even the best one so far. The only issues I had with the Umarex Legends MP40 was the double stack magazine feeding dependability with the 50 round double stack magazine not always feeding consistently. Umarex went back to a less aggressive closer to a single stack magazine on the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun which has a fewer rods but is expected to feed more consistently. I am looking forward to getting out and actually shooting the Umarex Legends M1A1 Blowback CO2 BB Machine Gun when I make my Field Test Shooting video. My advice right now with uncertainties about if and when we will get new inventory is buy now if you are in a position to as I am not sure how long they will last and when we will be able to get more stock.

SMG 22 Only Canada Legal .22 Caliber Full Auto Machine Gun

This is just my Preview for the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun. There will be more coming for sure for this one! Stay posted for my official Table Top and Shooting Videos later on.

I want to thank Drew from Tippmann Armory/Air Ordnance for sending me this unit for review. I have been wanting to get my hands one of these Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Guns for several years now and super glad I happened finally :) I really don’t think there is any airgun out there like it. I am really hoping that we will be able to have this one in both our Canada and US Online Replica Airguns Stores.

So what exactly is the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun? It’s a PCP powered semi/full auto .22 caliber pellet firing Airgun and it is available in a Canada legal version that shoots just under 500 fps allowing it to be classified here in Canada as an unregulated Firearm. Unregulated Firearms do not require a license or registration and do not have to abide by the same rules that regulated firearms have to such as full auto limitations, magazine capacities and size limitations. So in other words if you want a full auto .22 caliber Machine gun here in Canada this is going to be your only option at least for now.

Some other cool features about the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun is the trigger setup, pull it light and quick and you get a single shot, pull and hold using medium force and you get full auto but not at a super high rate of fire. Press and hold the trigger down hard and you get full auto with a much faster rate of fire so you control the rate of fire by how hard you press the trigger down. Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun also has an adjustment to set the maximum rate of full auto fire.

There are a few versions of the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun but they all share the same base components, gun just need to decide what add on you want to have with it. I am going to say make sure to get extra 100 round belts and a speed loader since the Air-Ordnance SMG 22 .22 Caliber Full Auto Pellet Machine Gun goes through a 100 round magazine fairly quickly!

Rx Target Systems Preview Video

I want to thank David Bitkowski from Rx Target Systems for providing me with this sample unit to share with the Replica Airguns community. This video is only a Preview video as I wanted to get the RX Target System out there before I follow up with my actual Table Top and Shooting Videos for it.

For now here are some of the key points I want to get out to everyone:

Mission:
Rx Target Systems are meant to bridge the gap between firearms and airguns. They allow high precision shooting on a reactive, three- dimensional, rugged target that can be carted around in a back pack.  What makes Rx Target Systems unique is that it is a system. It is so modular and adaptable with interchangable faceplates and paddles. Rx Target Systems are not going to break or get dented or dissembled on the range as many of the lighter gauged steel targets on the market today vs today’s high powered airguns.

Modular

  • One base allows interchange of faceplates for different target configurations

  • One threaded axel allows interchange of paddle from 10 gauge to 3/8 inch-thick paddles

Portable

  • Mount it on a shelf indoors

  • Mount it on a sawhorse outdoors

  • Carry it in a backpack or duffle bag- its 10 pounds

Rugged

  • Solid steel design

  • Faceplates from 10 gauge to ¼ inch thick

3-Dimensional

  • Faceplate is offset from paddles

  • Clipping the aperture does not guarantee a score

Intentions of target configurations

  • Standard 1 inch bulls.- represents kill zone of many small game at 30 yards, great for sighting in prior to the hunt. Also is ¼ scale of bull used in rapid fire pistol when shot from 8.3 meters. (25 meters distance/100mm bull)

  • 1.2 inch bulls- represents the 4-10 ring of the NRA 10 meter air rifle target. Gears the shooter to consistently hitting the “black” of that target on paper

  • AAFTA style- represents common kill zones found in American Airgun Field Target Assosciation using 1.5”, 1”, ¾", ½", and 3/8”.

  • WFTF style- represents common kill zones found in World Field Target Federation using 15mm, 25mm, and 38mm apertures

  • 10-15- Inspired by customer request, uses 10mm and 15mm apertures.  High-Precision shooting.

Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol Field Test Review

The expectation is going to be high with the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol since it is called the “Super Target” right! In terms of 350 fps well I guess it’s not really anything to wright home about but for a target pistol this velocity is more than enough. What matters most is consistency of each shot as that can effect the trajectory which in tern will effect the elevation of each shot. At the end of the day with a Target Shooter like the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol what I’m really looking for is consistency.

Let’s start with the Chronograph portion of my Indoor Field Test Shooting Review for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. Sig Sauer says I will get around 350 fps and spoiler alert I got exactly 350 fps shooting a 3 shot string. I only shot 3 rounds since all shots where very close together at 353, 347 and 350 fps. Remember what I was saying about consistency, that’s pretty consistent. I was using Sig Sauer Wad Cutter Lead pellets for all of my testing and since the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not a CO2 Airgun room temperature was not a factor.

Moving on to the accuracy portion of my testing for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I was originally going to shoot 10 rounds but decided to go with 5 since between shots I need to open the Airgun, place a pellet in the barrel and then close and cock the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol. I then need to reset my hand position on the sand bag and place another shot on target. All of this really breaks up the shooting rhythm which makes it a bit harder to be as consistent when compared to simply pressing the trigger between shots. I was shooting 30 feet away from my paper target using a seated and rested shooting position. It’s kind of hard to say exactly how tight my grouping was since the paper ripped a bit but looking back later at the video I am pretty sure all of the shots where pretty much on top of each other getting under a 1/2 inch grouping. The ripping of the paper made it look like the grouping was larger than it was.

All in all the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is a very consistent and accurate Single Pump Pneumatic Target Air Pistol that I would agree with lives up to the name “Super Target”. Make sure to also checkout my Table Top Review for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol where I go into the details and specification for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target.

Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol Table Top Review

Type: Pellet Taget Pistol.
Manufacturer: Sig Sauer ASP
Model: Sig Sauer ASP Super Target
Materials: Metal and Wood build.
Weight: 2.1 Pounds (953 grams).
Barrel: 7.5 inch steel rifled.
Propulsion: Single-shot over-lever single-stroke pneumatic.
Action: Single action 2-stage adjustable trigger.
Ammunition Type: .177 caliber pellets.
Ammunition Capacity: 1 round.
FPS: 350.

Trigger Pull: The single action only trigger pull on the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is fantastic right out of the box. I personally felt no need or desire to tamper with it as the trigger is crazy short and very light. That said if you feel the need to play around with the trigger adjustments you can as the ASP Super Target has a 2-stage adjustable trigger.

Accuracy: So far I have not done my official Field Test Shooting Video for the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol , I did crack a few free standing shots down range in my Indoor Airgun Sea Can Shooting Range and was impressed with not only the trigger feel but how peppy the ASP Super Target felt. Sig claims a 350 fps velocity using lead .177 caliber pellets but I got the feeling they may have been moving faster than that? In terms of accuracy I was not shooting rested so it’s hard to say but I am expecting the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol to be a tac driver for the price that you will pay for one!

Build Quality: The build quality for Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is good, it feels solid and well made, the finish is also good but I did notice a slight casting imperfection on the front sight. I have found with Italian made Airguns they can sometimes have a few finishing flaws but overall they are mechanically very well made which is more important at the end of the day, but still for just under $500 Canadian I think this Precision Target Air Pistol should be near perfect!

Realism: The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is designed after the Sig Sauer P210 9mm Pistol with some liberties taken to accommodate the single-stroke pneumatic internal pump and reservoir. For this reason it is not exactly a 1 to 1 scale replica of the Sig Sauer P210 but it is fully Sig Sauer licensed and looks close enough for what it is at the end of the day.

Pros:

  • Pretty much all metal and wood construction.

  • Fully adjustable rear sight as you would expect from a precision target pistol like this one.

  • Light 18 pound single-stroke cocking effect.

  • Sig Sauer Lisenced.

  • Made in Italy.

  • Comes in a nice hard shell Sig branded case.

  • Single action trigger is fully adjustable and feels amazing.

  • Claimed fps of 350 felt to me to be conservative, maybe we will see a little bit more out of the ASP Super Target?

  • Ambidextrous design suitable for left and right handers.

Cons:

  • A bit on the expensive side so it may be out of budget for some.

  • Not a true replica which is kind of expected as this is not a CO2 based airgun.

  • I found loading pellets in the barrel a bit tuff as it is recessed and harder for large fingers to access but loading got better as I used it.

Comments:

The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is not going to be for everyone as it is on the high end and out of the price range of most. If you do have the budget for a high quality Precision Target Air Pistol and you are wanting it to look more like a traditional Real Steel Gun rather than an Air Target Pistol, then The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pellet Pistol is probably the most authentic looking option out there. I am really hoping it performs amazing during my Field Test Shooting Review so we can all justify the kind of up there price point.

Sig Sauer MCX Virtus PCP and ASP Super Target Pellet Gun Preview

I have two new products from Sig Sauer Airgun devision to share with everyone here on the channel. They are both really different but I really like them both. Before I get into it I want to thank Sig Sauer for sending me both of these Airguns.

First up is the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle I showed y at SHOT Show this year. Well now it’s shipping and I have one :) At this time the only version of the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle is the 700 fps 12 not popguns version. This version is legal in Canada but you will need an unrestricted Firearms License since it falls under the definition of a non-centered fired long gun in the Canadian Firearms Act. Perhaps Sig Sauer will come out with a detuned version under 500 fps?

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle uses a 13CI-3000PSI tank situated at the rear of the gun as part of the butt stock. You will need some sort of a pump or scuba pressurization system to refill the PCP tank which will get you up to 150 to 200 shots per fill up. The belt fed magazine holds 30 rounds which you can fire as fast as you can pull the semi auto trigger. By the way the trigger pull indexes the belt magazine while the PCP air pressure works the bolt allowing for a fairly smooth trigger pull. You will need to charge the Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle before you start shooting.

The Sig Sauer MCX Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Air Rifle weighs in at 7.5 pounds, has a 17.5 inch barrel and a total length of 37.5 inches.

Next I show off the Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Air Pistol modlelded after the Sig Sauer P210 Hadn't gun. The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Pistol only requires 1 pump to get up to full FPS which is claimed bu Sig Sauer to be around 350 fps. I have a feeling that maybe it will shoot just a little bit faster based on my trial test shots. The Sig Sauer ASP Super Target .177 Caliber Pneumatic Precision Pistol has a full adjustable rear sight with a three stage single action trigger. Out of the box or should I say hard shell case the trigger feels really great. As expected with such a high end Match Grade Target Air Pistol you get real wood grips.

Stay posted for my Full Table Top and Field Test Shooting videos for both of these fine Sig Sauer Airguns.

ASG SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

ASG+Logo+White.jpg

Unfortunately the microphone system I was using for some reason did not record the Lapel Microphones we where record the audio with for this ASG SHOT Show 2020 Interview Video. The Camera we where recording video with did record audio but as there is so much back ground noise going on at large show like this, the audio is far from good. That all said try do you your best to listen to what we are discussing. There are sections where the audio is fairly distinguishable and sections in the video that are not due the proximity of the camera.

Bob from ASG and I go over serval products for ASG at SHOT Show 2020 this year. We first take a look at the new ASG Shadow 2 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. One interesting fact about the new ASG Shadow 2 is that it has an internal Hop-up system that help BB’s travel further out for longer range shooting. The ASG Shadow 2 also has a fully adjustable rear sight making this Blowback CO2 BB Airgun a potentially pretty decent target pistol.

Another new product from ASG we focused on is the Airsoft ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon designed for first responder situations. The ASG B&T USW has an extended rear frame allowing for a non-recipricating red dot sight placement. The ASG B&T Universal Service Weapon has a built in folding stock and you can trick it out with all kinds of add ons to make it your own.

Near the end of the video we took a look at some new ICS Airsoft offerings from ASG.

Chiappa New Rhino Airgun at Show 2020 Las Vegas

chiappa-firearms-vector-logo.png

This isn’t a SHOT Show 2020 Interview but most certainly worth reporting on. While walking around SHOT Show I ventured into the Chiappa Booth as I own a .22 caliber 1911 styled pistol from them and they do have some interesting products to take a look at.

Then I saw a red tip on one of their Chiappa Rhino Revolvers which caught my eye since I was not aware that Chiappa was making an Airgun version of their Rhino. Well as it turns out they are hoping to be shipping both an Airsoft version and Steel BB version around spring time and from what I can tell there will be two finishes, a kind of Gold Satin finish and also a Back finish version. As is with a lot of revolvers these days they will be shell loading which will help them look the part of a real steel Chiappa Rhino Revolver.

Looking forward to getting my hands on one when they come out in Spring this year!

Air Venturi SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

air-venturi.png

In this SHOT Show Las Vegas 2020 Interview Video Scott takes us through a range of new products from Air Venturi.

Scott and I talk about the Air Venturi TR5 and how it came about to fill the hole the Baikal MP-61 left behind. We also talk a look at some new Air Rifles, a pumper called the Butterfly with a super cool linkage based system that makes pumping a lot easier. A PCP side lever cocking Air Rifle that I’m not even sure has a name yet but will be available in .177 .22 and .25 caliber pellet for around $299 US.

The only Air Venturi replica we looked at is a new Springfield Armory under lever Spring Piston Air rifle modeled after the M1A. Last up Scott went showed us how the Bada Bang targeting system is shaping up and looks to be almost ready for production.

Umarex SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year at SHOT Show 2020 Mark from Umarex had a nice variety of new product to go over with us. Mark first went over the new CO2 Blowback Pellet firing Glock 17 which has a similar magazine and loading system as the Umarex SA10 Pellet Pistol.

We then took a look at another Glock replica, the Glock 18C Full Auto GBB Airsoft pistol with extended magazine, this one is sure to be a lot of fun with its selectable full auto feature and high capacity magazine. Perfect for hammering targets downrange or used as a very capable backup Airsoft pistol in the field.

Probably one of my favorites at the Umarex Booth this year was the Umarex Thompson M1A1 Legends Series CO2 Blowback Machine Gun. And yes it’s full auto capable along with blowback operation and a full size drop metal magazine that holds the CO2 and Steel BB’s. A nice addition to the Legends series of Pistols and Rifles.

Something really different this year for Umarex are the AirJavelin and AirSaber, two arrow firing rifles, the AirJavelin is CO2 powered and more tactical looking but still has more than enough power to shoot medium sized game, great for pest control while the bigger and (480 fps 178 foot pound) more powerful AirSaber is PCP powered and can be used for larger game like deer and wild bore. And it even looks like we will be selling these Arrow firing rifles in our Canada Replica Airguns Store with no PAL firearms license required!

Velocity Outdoor SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

As always Crosman delivered again this year with some new Airgun products to show us. In this Velocity Outdoors SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview we take a look at three main standouts for me. The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle, the Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol and something a lot different, the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster.

The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle is a hybrid of the DPMS SBR and the PDW form past years with a focus on bringing the Crosman name to their own more true to form AR style rifle. You still get interchangeable but stocks and pistol grips if you want to swap them out for a different AR type. The Crosman Full Auto R1 AR CO2 BB Rifle has a longer accessory rail with a more traditional muzzle break. The R1 also comes standard with a red dot sight.

Velocity Outdoors also introduced the Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol with select fire semi and full auto modes. The Crosman Full Auto P1 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is essentially a KWC Taurus with the addition of a really nice laser sight.

One little treat that I think will be popular as a fun indroor shooter is the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster. Unlike traditional Nerf guns the Havoc Prime Spring Powered Foam Dart Blaster actually shoots upwards to 130 feet per second and is super accurate with its rifled barrel. The ammo even looks like a 9mm round but not so deadly :) A Big thanks to Phillip from Velocity Outdoor for allowing us they interview him again this year!

Sig Sauer SHOT Show 2020 Las Vegas Interview

This year Sig Sauer was showcasing their Airsoft Pistols with a new line called the Proforce series geared towards high end training. Sig has also included new Reflex Red Dot Sights that can be ordered already on the gun or as an add on accessory. The Proforce Pistol line includes both the M17 and M18 series Sig Sauer pistols.

Last year at SHOT Show 2019 Sig had introduced their Virtus .22 Caliber PCP Semi Auto Rifle but it was not ready at that time. Well now the Sig Sauer Virtus is ready to ship and yours truly will be getting one of these bad boys for review! Since the .22 caliber PCP Sig Sauer Virtus shoots around 700 fps with a 12 foot pound energy level you will need a PAL firearms license if you live in Canada but the Sig Sauer Virtus is a considered a “long gun” so no registration will be required in Canada.

KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol Table Top Review

Type: BB air pistol.
Manufacturer: KWC.
Model: KWC M40 NBB.
Materials: Mostly plastic with some metal.
Weight: 1.14 pounds (515 grams).
Barrel: 3.5 inches, metal smooth bore.
Propulsion: CO2 x 1.
Action: Semi auto, double action only.
Ammunition Type: Steel BB's 4.5mm.
Ammunition Capacity: 19 rounds.
FPS: 387 fps/ 118 m/s.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is a bit in the heavy side in terms of a typical Double Action Only BB shooter, The pull is consistent and predictable but this will not be the fastest action shooter out there and the heavy trigger may tire your finger when shooting quickly. Accuracy may also be compromised a bit since the trigger will effect a smooth pull.

Accuracy: So far I have not performed my Field Test Shooting Video for the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol so I have no real idea on how accurate it will be? I figure the just under 400 fps claimed velocity should be realistic since it is a non-blowback airgun. We will find out later on when I am able to test out the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol in the replica Airguns Indoor Sea Can Shooting Range.

Build Quality: The KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is for the most part an all plastic build other than the full metal magazine and some internal parts like the inner barrel and a few others. With the all metal magazine in the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol it feels pretty good in terms of weight but as soon as you take the hefty metal magazine out it feels virtually weightless. That said you will not be shooting the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol without the magazine in it. Fit and finish look and feel pretty good.

Realism: The KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol in terms of size and looks is a very good replace of a real steel S&W M&P40 without the licensing of course. Again the weight is a lit bit on the shy side and since the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol is non-blowback it is lacking many of the working parts like a slide that slide, a functioning takedown lever or slide catch release. The full size drop out metal magazine and recessed barrel do help make the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol more believable and I also like that KWC worked the safety into the right hadn't slide catch release to keep it well hidden.

Pros:

  • Fairly accurate visually of the S&W M&P40.

  • Nice discreet safety location built into the slide catch release.

  • Barrel is recessed.

  • Full size dropout metal magazine that holds BB's and CO2.

  • White dot sights front and back.

  • Rail for add on accessories.

  • Even though mostly plastic, with the metal magazine in it feels reasonably heavy.

  • No ugly warning instructions.

  • Comes with a speed loader and BB’s to get you started.

Cons:

  • No Blowback action or working slide.

  • Somewhat heavy DAO Trigger.

  • Mostly plastic build so a bit on the light side compared to the metal slide versions.

Comments:

If you’re looking for a lower cost BB shooting Replica of the S&W M&P40 and don’t need blowback action, perhaps your more interested in a little bit more power and shots per CO2, well then the KWC M40 CO2 NBB BB Pistol may juts check all the boxes for you. The good news is we have a lot of options now if you’re in the market for a S&W M&P40 Replica Airgun. You can get the lower cost NBB version I am revising here, perhaps you want to spend a little bit more and get the KWC Metal Slide Blowback version which also comes in an Airsoft equivalent? And if yo want all the markings then get the Umarex distributed version complete with S&W licensing.

Umarex Legends Cowboy Rifle Versus Daisy Red Ryder BB Rifle Shooting Comparison

I have not officially done a Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle other than my quick outside shooting test where I simply shot a bunch of rounds at some pop cans just to see how the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle would work for me and it did perform well during that test.

Jumping ahead to a little while later when I went to make my Official Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle. I found it was not performing well at all, shooting well under the 410 claimed fps closer to 200 fps which was a surprise since it seemed to do a lot better for me on my previous test. I even changed out the CO2 but still did not get any better results. I racked this up to maybe being a defective gun and so I went about getting my hands on another Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle.

Guess what? Same thing with rifle number two. Very poor fps, again almost half of the claimed rated velocity. So at this point I decided I was goring to make the Field Test Shooting Video for the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and let the results speak for themselves… I also thought it would be fun to compare it to the Classic 1938 Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun since I figured they would both get similar fps and accuracy and be rather comparable at the end of the day.

I do have to say that the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle did make me eat my words and I am happy it did since I really like the Umarex Legends CO2 BB Lever Action Cowboy Rifle and wanted it to do well!

Usually I state all there results for My Field Test Shooting Videos here in the written article but I kind of feel it is best if you just watch this one from start to finishes since the video result s did turn out to really surprise me in the end.

Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol Field Test Review

Make sure to watch my Table Top Review Video if you want more info on the details and specifications for the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol! in this Field Test Shooting video I test out the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol inside the Replica Airguns indoor Sea Can Airgun Range to see how well it performs in terms of Velocity and Accuracy. The temperature was 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) so not too hot or too cold on this test day. I was also using a brand new CO2 along with 5.1 grain RWS zinc coated steel BB’s.

For the first test to find out what the actual velocity is for the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol, I placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph back to back and I was able to get an average of 456 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 460 fps and the slowest shot in the string hitting 451 fps. All within 9 fps of each other so very consistent.

Next I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and proceeded to do my best to obtain a 10 shot grouping using a seated and rested shooting position. Most of the shots form the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol where all under 1.5 inches apart, just a little bit high and slightly to the left. I did get a flyer that went a little bit lower than the rest lengthening out the 10 shot grouping to about 2 inches in diameter. I am pretty sure I would be able to get a 1 inch grouping with the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol after some practice.

Overall the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol performed well for me shooting consistently without any issues. The Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol is fairly basic in design but does have the added much suppressor that allows for a longer inner barrel giving it a little more fps. You also have the removable sight rail fi you want to add some optical sights or perhaps a laser or tactical light or maybe all of them? Pickup the Daisy Powerline 5170 CO2 BB Pistol in a variety of colors over at the Replica Airguns Online Canada and US Stores!

Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit Field Test Review

Make sure to watch my Table Top Review Video if you want more info on the details and specifications for the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit! in this Field Test Shooting video I test out the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit inside the Replica Airguns indoor Sea Can Airgun Range to see how well it performs in terms of Velocity and accuracy. The temperature was 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) so not too hot or too cold on this test day. I was also using a brand new CO2 along with 5.1 grain RWS zinc coated steel BB’s.

For the first test to find out what the actual velocity is for the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit I placed 5 rounds through my Chronograph back to back and I was able to get an average of 396 fps with the fastest shoot hitting 404 fps and the slowest shot in the string hitting 389 fps. Interestingly enough the fastest shot was the last shot in my 5 shot string so CO2 cooling did not effect the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit too much.

Next I setup a fresh paper target 30 feet down range and proceeded to do my best to obtain a 10 shot grouping using a seated and rested shooting position. I may have only loaded 9 rounds this time but I was still able to get a good idea on how well the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit performs in the accuracy department. Most of the shots where all under 2 inches and well center on the target with at least 3 or 4 rounds in the bullseye. I did get a flyer that went rather high but we will assume there may have been a bad BB in the bunch shine I did not feel I pulled that shot at all and since the other rods all placed well together well will go with the smaller grouping of under 2 inches.

Overall the Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit performed well for me shooting consistently without any issues. The Crosman P10 Wildcat CO2 BB Pistol Airgun Kit is a very basic airgun with your standard double action trigger that will be on the longer side, that said it felt pretty good and was not overly heavy with a fairly predictable pull and release making it easy enough to find your target. Action shooting will be OK too since the trigger is not super heavy for a double action only trigger.
