Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver Field Test Review

I’ve already full reviewed the BB version of the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Revolver so make sure to check both my Table Top and Field Test Shooting Reviews for the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading BB Revolver.

In this Field Test Shooting Video Review I test out the Pellet version of the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Revolver to see how well it performs in the Indoor Airgun Shooting Range. I first put 5 shots through my Chronograph to see what the real world fps is and then I shoot a full cylinder of pellets at my paper target setup 30 feet down range so we can get an idea on how accurate the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver really is.

For my Chronograph velocity portion of this test I used a brand new CO2 with 8.18 grain Sig Sauer lead pellets, the indoor temperature was around 18 degrees Celsius or 64 degrees Fahrenheit. My Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver was about to average 351 fps with fairly heavy lead pellets, not bad! IN warmer conditions or using lower weight higher velocity pellets I am sure the fps will get up and over 400 feet per second.

Next I reloaded the 6 round cylinder with the same 8.18 grain Sig Sauer lead pellets and placed them in on target 30 feet down range. I was shooting in Single Action for best accuracy and also using a rested seated shooting position with a sand bag up front to rest my hands on. I was very impressed with who well centered the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver shot, I even got 3 rounds right in the bullseye, 3 of the rounds go outside the bullseye just a bit to the right resulting in about a 2 inch 6 shot grouping. I am sure I could tighten this up with a bit more trigger time using the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Pellet Revolver

If your looking for a more beefy shell loading revolver than for sure consider the Webley MKVI .455 CO2 Shell Loading Revolver line, both the BB and pellet versions perform well and the break barrel design makes them super easy to reload without even having to take the shells out if you choose not to. Accrued and power is up to par and the over quality is also very good.

Canada Post Strike 📦 Shipping Delays

Canada Post Strike Shipping Delays.jpg

Hey Everybody,

As you are probably aware Canada Post is on a rotating strike, which has caused delays in all Replica Airguns orders. To speed things along we have switched to shipping through Purolator, but there have been subsequent issues with tracking numbers and information not showing up. I want to personally assure you that when we notify you your order has shipped, it absolutely has shipped.

I am reaching out to Purolator’s management team this week and hope to have these problems sorted out soon. Unfortunately it’s the busiest season for shipping couriers and with the Canada Post strike making things even more complicated, our communications have been slow. I will do my best to get to the bottom of all this and get our shipping back on track. Your patience and support is much appreciated.

Yours truly,
Michael Kaye

Replica Airguns Silent Auction of Hard to Get Canada Blank Guns

I have some harder to get here in Canada Blank Guns that I am selling from my personal collection by way off Silent Auction. These Blank Guns are more for the Canadian collector and perhaps not so much for the first time buyer. I would recommend for the first time Blank Gun buyer that you checkout our selection off brand new ROHM Blank Guns that we sell in our Canada Replica Airguns Store so check those ROHM Blank Guns out as they are excellent German made Blank Guns in a variety of styles.

Getting back to the Blank Guns in my personal collection. They are all previously owned, most only test fired once for review. Below is a listing of the Blank Guns I am offering in this Silent Auction with what I feel is there approximate value:

Here is how the silent action system works… First of all I will only be shipping these guns within Canada to a Canadian addresses and all funds are in Canadian Funds. You will need to email me and let me know which Blank Gun or Blank Guns you are interested in bidding on and let me know what your best price is. In approximately a weeks time when I feel enough offers have come in, I will then contact the winning bidder and give them 24 hours to pay up. If they do not pay me the amount they offered within the 24 hours I will then move on to the next highest bidder.

If you are bidding on more than one gun then I will take this into consideration since collecting money and shipping product to one buyer is easier than multiple buyers so this will help you with your offer.

I also will be charging $20 for shipping per gun, if you are buying multiple guns then I will discount the shipping a little bit so I will not charge you $20 per gun.

DJI Spark Fly More Combo Unboxing Video

What? Another Drone? Is Replica Airguns becoming a drone review channel... No I am not going to be reviewing drones as a habit but I did decide to upgrade my Yuneec Breeze 4K to a DJI Spark for a number of reasons.

Reason number one it's a DJI and they simply make some of the best Drones you can buy for the money. The main reason I ultimately went with the DJI Spark is because it just takes better quality 1080p Video which is what I'm after. It does this because it has a dedicated 2 axis mechanical gimbal that smoothes out the video even before the internal stabilization gets to it and make the video look even smoother so the end video output is incredibly smooth!

Some other reasons I feel the DJI Spark Fly More Combo was a better option for me are: It's super small, it was not really a lot more expensive, it has better tracking technology and can even understand hand and arm gestures for flying without even using a remote of any kind. The DJI Spark can fly faster and much farther than the Yuneec Breeze and has a little bit better battery run time.

In this DJI Spark Fly More Combo Unboxing Video I open the box for the first time and take a look at what you get inside. I had not flown the DJI Spark or even checked it out yet so everything is new to me and I am seeing it first hand and for the first time. I can say it is way smaller than I thought it was going to be. Look forward to some cool drone video on the channel in some of my upcoming videos...

Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph Preview Plus Bonus Item

My struggle for a reliable and dependable Chronograph to test the feet per second velocity of the airguns I test in my indoor Sea Can shooting range has been going on for some time now. My original Chrony Chronograph just never gave me consistent results and over time it pretty much became useless so I ended up shooting the living tar out of it (Watch that video) and replacing it with a slightly better Chronic Chronograph.

The new Chrony Chronograph setup in my indoor Sea Can Airgun range worked really well for me especially using the LED lighting system I added to it (Made by Caldwell). But not even two years later my new Chrony Chronograph just flat out died on me, the screen went all garbley-goop and became unreadable. I tried a new battery and looked everywhere to see if there was a factory reset I could do but was not able to get it working again :(

Well I figured I invested enough money buying Chrony Chronographs with not so good results from them so it was time to look to another company for my airgun velocity testing needs. I ended up going with the Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph which by the way is compatible with my LED lighting system since it is all made by the same company. I paid $149 Canadian for my Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph which is pretty good and it even came with a super long cable to connect a smart phone that works on both iPhone and Android phones using the Caldwell App to display velocity readings in the their smartphone App.

I will be making a "test" video where I shoot several airguns I have not Chronographed yet to see how my new Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph works so stay posted for that video coming out very soon!

On another note I upgraded my Drone just a little, I previously bought the Yuneec Breeze 4k Drone to use in my future videos to get some new interesting camera angles while I do some of my outdoor shooting and to be honest the quality is really good on it. Probably good enough for what I'm doing, but for only a couple hundred dollars more I was able to buy the DJI Spark which is by far a much better drone than the Breeze in many ways. Video is more stable and "follow me modes" are way more reliable to name a few things the DJI Spark does that are important to me.

You'll get to see video from the DJI Spark shortly in fixture videos. This little Drone is crazy!

New Toys for Even Better Future Videos!

What some of you may not think about is all the stuff that goes behind the scenes when a Vimeo video is being made. It's a lot more than simply grabbing a camera and saying what's on your mind although that can work sometimes.

Most of the time multiple cameras are used, tripods and special lighting are important and even how you record the audio source can make a huge difference as to the sound and what people hear in your final video.

With all that said I am always looking for a new way to help me out with the quality of my video recording and production. How can I make things look better or more interesting, how can I improve the sound quality and clarity of my videos?

Well today I show you two new products I picked up that I feel will help me out in these areas. First in the audio department I show you my new Wireless Headset/Lapel Mic system from a company called FiFine Technology. They actually sent me their FiFine Wireless Headset and Lapel Mic for free so thanks a lot for that! My plan is to use the FiFine Wireless Headset and Lapel Mic to record the audio portion of my videos rather than the built in mic in my camera since I will get less room noise and better direct voice audio recording. I think it will also be useful when doing outside shooting videos to get super clear audio with less outside noise at all times. For this testing I simply connected the FiFine Wireless Headset and Lapel Mic to my Samsung Android phone using a USB adaptor, the same can be done suing an iPhone.

Moving on now to a new video product, I have been wanting to get a Drone to capture more interesting video that I can shoot from multiple viewing angles and also be able to have a moving camera while I shoot outdoors videos. The problem is they can be kind of expensive for anything decent, because of this, so far I have not been able to justify bitting the  bullet and buying a drone. That was until I saw a great deal on the Yuneec Breeze 4k Selfie Drone at my local Best buy for half price ($249 CAN) What a deal!

Anyways, watch me fumble around while I try to figure things out with my Yuneec Breeze 4k Selfie Drone for the first time, there is always a learning curve when you get something new but I do hope to be able to utilize both of these new products in upcoming videos for everyone.

Another Update Video this Week - What's Going On?

Some more stuff came in and I just had to show it off before moving on with the reviews. I know you're going to like it so here we go again...

First off the super anticipate Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol has arrived and is now available in our Canada and US online Replica Airgun Stores so get yours while we still have them, if we still have them? No this version is not a blowback or even working slide version and yes it has the dreaded stick mag! That all said the Umarex Glock 19 CO2 BB Pistol feels really solid and well made and heck it's the first licensed Airgun Glock ever so it's a good start. Umarex has said that more elaborate blowback versions will be coming out down the road. There are full blowback Airsoft version licensed by Umarex but the FPS is too slow right now for us to import them into Canada, hopefully there is a fix for this at some point...

I have been waiting at least three months now for my AW Custom AG-HX2003 Double Stack Tactical 1911 Full Blowback CO2 BB Pistol to show up. Canada Customs got their hands on it and felt it needed to be processed for three months before delivering it to me. at least I did end up getting it without a fight!

AW Custom is primarily an Airsoft gun manufacturer but is moving into the 4.5mm Steel BB market and has a few 4.5mm Steel BB offerings which have interchangeable parts with their Airsoft guns if you need them. I will making a Table Top and Field Test Sooting Video for the AW Custom AG-HX2003 Double Stack Tactical 1911 Full Blowback CO2 BB Pistol, my list is getting pretty huge now but I am excited I have all these new products to review for everyone!

Last on my Update list is a rather pricey one but not something I have ever revised on this channel, It's the Umarex T4E HK416 .43 caliber Paintball M4/AR Rifle made specifically for m military and police training. This gun is super realistic with similar working parts to its real steel counterpart. Check the Umarex T4E HK416 .43 caliber Paintball M4/AR Rifle in our Canada and US Online Stores.

In this video I have some really cool stuff to show you guys, many items I have been waiting to get my hands on for some time now...

Right off the bat I need to let you all know I got my Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB M4/AR Full Auto Airgun and it is simply awesome! It's really everything we have all been asking for, A full scale M4 Replica with Blowback operation and semi and full auto, with quality material throughout and realistic working parts. You can even split the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB M4/AR Full Auto Airgun into its upper and lower sections for cleaning and possible BB jams. Look forward to several upcoming videos featuring the Crosman DPMS SBR CO2 Blowback 4.5mm BB M4/AR Full Auto Airgun.

Next up in this weeks news is... Can you believe it, after two years I now have my hands on a Gletcher M1944 Mosin Nagant, not the short stock and short barreled M1891 Sawn Off Version but the full size rifle version complete with working metal bayonet :) I love it when I first saw it at SHOT Show over two years ago and still love it today. I expect it to shoot similarly to the M1891 Sawn Off M1891 Version I already reviewed a few times but with perhaps more power and a bit better accuracy?

KWA Logo Performance Industries.png

Some other very cool news, we are now selling KWA Airsoft Guns, I have been a big fan of KWA for a long time and enjoy visiting their booth at SHOT Show, they have excellent high quality detailed Airsoft guns and carry a great combination of Blowback and AEG Airsoft Guns. Once I get through my Crosman and Gletcher reviews I will focus on showcasing the new KWA lineup we are selling.

Which is Better - Plastic or Metal Airguns?

We often think that something that is more expensive and perhaps built with what we consider to be better materials is going to be the best option. That's not always the case! In this Vimeo Video I talk about some of the Pros and Cons to buying a Plastic Airgun versus a Metal Airgun. Of course this applies to BB, Airsoft and Pellet shooters.

Price
In most cases a Plastic Airgun is going to be less expensive, so if you have limited funds then your only option may be a Plastic Airgun and at the end of the day both airguns are going to probably get the job done much the same.

Realism
Generally speaking, most Metal Airguns are going to have more moving parts, often times with working slides and even blowback operation. This is not always the case but even a Metal Airgun that has few working parts will still feel more realistic simply because of the additional weight to the Airgun. Metal has that cold hard feel to it that makes you feel like you're holing something of substance. Plastic Airguns on the other hand can feel light and cheap and usually are very simple in design with less working parts.

Shooting an Airgun with blowback operation simulates the recoil action and in many cases allows for true single action operation of the trigger and hammer. This is going to feel a lot more realistic than shooting a non-blowback Airgun which again is generally what you get with Plastic Airguns.

Durability
Most people assume that because an Airgun is Meta, it is going to be stronger and more durable. This would be true if the Metal used in the Airgun was actually hardened steel but with almost Metal Airguns, they are made using a zinc alloy metal (Pot Metal) that is much softer then hardened steel and can wear and break a lot easier. When you also consider a Metal Airgun is going to be a lot heavier than a Plastic Airgun, a drop onto a hard surface will have a lot more impact which can cause breakage a to a heavy Metal Airgun versus a Plastic light weight Airgun.

Plastic surfaces are also a lot less prone to showing scratches since the Plastic material will usually be black all the way through versus a Metal Airgun that has a painted surface that when scratched hard enough will show through right to the bare metal. You also get wear marks on painted Metal Airguns that will make it look used and older, some people like this look but other do not.

Reliability
Again people are going to assume a Metal Airgun is going to be more reliable simply because it has more metal parts and metal parts are stronger right? Not the case if the parts are made out of zinc alloy. Now some companies will upgrade some high use parts in Airguns to hardened steel but it's hard to know for sure. You can use a magnet to determine what parts are Metal and what parts are hardened steel.

As we mentioned before, Plastic Airguns are generally pretty simple in design, less working parts means less to go wrong at the end of the day so just because you have a Plastic Airgun it doesn't mean it's going to break on you quickly. Actually it may even outlast your Metal Airgun since all those working parts will eventually wear out.

Now I am the first person to admit that I prefer Metal Airgun over Plastic Airguns, I don't mind spending the extra money for more realism and I'm willing to accept the fact that it's not going to last forever but the fact remains, a Plastic Airgun does have some advantages going for it so don't rule them out completely.

ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver Table Top Review

Type: Blank Revolver.
Manufacturer: ROHM (RÖHM).
Model: RG-49
Materials: Mostly Metal.
Weight: 439 grams 15.5 ounces.
Barrel: Removable - Front firing designed for flares.
Propulsion: Gun powder.
Action: Single & double action.
Ammunition Type: .22 caliber crimped.
Ammunition Capacity: 7 rounds.
FPS: N/A.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver in single action is very light having virtually no take up at all. The double action trigger pull is much heavier with a smooth release. Mechanically the trigger feels really good.

Accuracy: NA.
Build Quality: The overall build quality for the ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver is excellent, being German made its built to last and the fit and finish is typical German quality. There are steel parts where they need to be like in the barrel, pins, screws and reenforcing parts, the rest of the gun is generally made out of a zinc metal with only the simulated wood grips being made out of plastic.

Realism: The ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver is not an exact replica of any given gun in production as this would make importing it into Canada even more difficult, but it is styled after a Smith & Wesson Snub Nosed Revolver. As for looking like and working like a real gun, the ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver looks and sounds like a real gun, with the exception of the dangerous bullet coming out of the barrel!
Purchase from: The Replica Airguns Canada Store.

Pros:

  • German made Quality.

  • All metal gun with reenforced steel in some areas.

  • Front firing and capable of shooting flares.

  • .22 caliber blanks are less expensive and not as loud to use.

  • Comes with removable Flare adaptor & Cleaning rod.

  • Super compact and portable.

  • Highest capacity ROHM Revolver with 7 round cylinder.

Cons:

  • Smaller caliber blanks are not as loud or powerful.

  • Can be considered a bit expensive due to blank guns in general being hard to get and in high demand in Canada.

Comments:
The main purpose of the ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver is to make noise along with the added ability to shoot flares and that's exactly what you're getting here. The ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver may not be as elegant as the other ROHM revolvers with their nicer barrels but with the ROHM RG-46 22 Caliber Blank Revolver you are getting the most compact 7 round shooter and at a bit lower price than the other full sized ROHM Blank Guns.
