As with most of the new tech I purchase or acquire that I will be using in my Videos for either my GetFitOver40 or ReplicaAirguns YouTube channels, I generally like to do some sort of a practical review for the item. In this case I take a look at the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set which is a pair of wireless transmitters that pair with a single dedicated receiver allowing me to quickly and easily capture good quality audio for my Videos.

For the past couple of years my go to microphone setup for my video was to use a generic lapel mic connected to my Samsung Galaxy Smartphone recording into an audio program. I would then send the audio file via dropbox to my computer where I would then line up the audio file with the video file in my video editing software to get a much higher quality and more clear voice recording versus what the camera mic would be able to capture.

This system has been working fairly well for me but required a somewhat cumbersome lapel cable and of course my bulky Smartphone in my pocket at all times but did allow me to be as far away from the camera as I wanted without any interference or loss of audio clarity.

After playing around with the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone System I have determined I will most likely simply be clipping the transmitter onto my shirt without the lavaliere mic plugged in and transmitting the audio into either my Samsung Smartphone or my iPad where I can then again dropbox the audio file to wherever I plan on editing the video.

This video was kind of a test to see how everything sounded in terms of the lapel mic versus the built in mic. What settings to use and how distance effected the audio signal and quality. Unfortunately the lapel mic was a bit close to my voice causing some distortion to occur but you can still hear what I am saying no problem. In the future I would place the lapel mic a bit further away from my voice lower down on my shirt or simply use the built in mic as it was not as sensitive to this distortion and seemed to handle louder volume much better than the lapel mic.

I made a video a little bit ago talking about how Canada’s new Bill C-21 will affect pretty every gun owner in Canada including even airgun owners of BB, Pellet Airsoft and even Paintball Guns. Make sure to watch that video first called Bill C-21 Canada is Going After Your Red Ryder BB Gun.

This video is all about how you can get involved in making some waves by signing two online petitions along with contacting your local Member of Parliament and letting them know your disapproval of Bill C-21 and all that it imposes on law abiding Canadian gun owners.

Probably the most important online petition to sign would be the House of Commons Petition E-3201 Bill C-21 so make sure to sign that one!

The other online e-petition we need to sign is the change.org petition.

And lastly but also super important is to send an email to your local member of Parliament again let them know your disapproval of Bill C-21. I have included a link to the web[age where you can locate your local MP and below that is a template of what you could include in your email to them.

(3.2) For the purposes of sections 99 to 101, 103 to 107 and 117.03, a firearm is deemed to be a prohibited device if

(a) it is proved that the firearm is not designed or adapted to discharge a shot, bullet or other projectile at a muzzle velocity exceeding 152.4 m per second or at a muzzle energy exceeding 5.7 Joules; and (b) the firearm is designed or intended to exactly resemble, or to resemble with near precision, a firearm, other than an antique firearm, that is designed or adapted to discharge a shot, bullet or other projectile at a muzzle velocity exceeding 152.4 m per second and at a muzzle energy exceeding 5.7 Joules."

The long and short of it, Bill C-21 is an attack on law abiding Canadian gun owners and goes so far as to include the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun and many other Airguns as a Prohibited Firearm in Canada.

I am not a Lawyer or Bureaucrat so this video is my personal take on how I perceive the new Gun laws and Bill C-21. Please do your own investigation on these new laws and come to your own conclusions.

I don’t ask this often, please like and share this video with as many people as you can in Canada and outside of Canada. This is a new level of attack on Canadian Gun rights and we need to stand up for our gun rights or there will be no more guns in Canada eventually. This could happened in your country and has already happened in many others.

So how did we get here… Back in May of 2020 Trudeau (without going through Parliament) banned some 1500 (what he referred to as) Assault rifles. For the most part but not exclusive to, anything that looks scary with a semi auto action. Many rifles with semi auto actions that did not look scary where not on this banned list. Some bolt action rifles and even shotguns made it to this banned list of guns deemed by Trudeau as dangerous Assault Rifles.

Bill C-21 is now going after handguns in a similar capacity along with any Airgun that looks like a Firearm. 

In this video I am going to focus mainly on the Airgun side of how Bill C-21 effects Canadians so we are talking about BB Guns, Pellet Guns, Airsoft Guns, even Paintball Guns. But do understand if you own a handgun or even a rifle, Bill C-21 is coming after many of those guns as well making them literally impossible to own and use in any capacity other than keeping them in a safe at all times until you die in which it has to be relinquished without payment to the government.

How does Bill C-21 effect Airguns? Previously most Airguns where classified as Firearms but where unregulated so they didn’t require registration or even a Firearms license to sell, buy, own or use. Bill C-21 wants to make any Airgun that looks like a firearm (other than an antique firearm) prohibited. This means you will not be able to import, sell, or buy them in Canada. You will be able to keep your existing Prohibited Airguns but with extensive limitations on how you can keep and use them. Basically no use at all.

For the most part you will want to keep your now prohibited Airguns in a gun safe at home at all times or you risk having them confiscated from you since if you are transporting or using an Airgun, the police have the right to ask you to produce a Prohibited Firearms license which if I am not mistaken has not been made available since 1991, so the vast majority of gun owners especially none license holding Airgun owners do not have a Prohibited Firearms license nor is there any way to obtain such a license. How convenient!

Who does Bill C-21 effect? Firearms in Canada is a Multi Billion dollar industry and Airguns are an ever growing part of that industry. Bill C-21 effects Importers, Wholesalers, Retailers, Gun Ranges, Airsoft Fields, Gun Organizations, Gun Groups and of course every Firearm and Airgun owner in Canada. Bill C-21 wants to eliminate many aspects of the firearms Industry in Canada putting large and small business out of business. Replica Airguns will be gone if Bill C-21 passes in Canada, a business I founded and have been part of for over 15 years affecting many employees, families and of course customers.

How will Bill C-21 by eliminating the vast majority of Airguns in Canada keep Canadians safer and save lives as it proposes? I’m tryin to wrap my head around this one… So please tell me how many Pellet Rifles where used in mass shootings? How many drive by shootings involved Paintball guns? How many suicides have there been with BB pistols? How many police officers have died at the hands of an Airsoft wielding mad person? I’m going out on a limb here to say probably zero. And if any of these Airguns had been used in any of these situations that would have been a good thing because no lives would have been lost perhaps except for the user of the Airgun.

I want to end this video off with an example and an analogy of just exactly how ridiculous Bill C-21 is and how it will do absolutely zero to protect Canadians from criminals.

• Daisy Red Ryder BB Rifle (1940) Will now be a Prohibited Firearm in Canada

• Crosman 38T Pellet Revolver (1964) Will now be a Prohibited Firearm in Canada

• Crosman 357 Pellet Revolver (1983) Will now be a Prohibited Firearm in Canada

• Air-Ordnance SMG 22 Caliber Full Auto Machine Gun (Modern Airgun) Currently and even after Bill C-21 will be an Unregulated Firearm in Canada with no license or registration required.

Analogy of how Bill C-21 is supposed to Make Canadians Safer:

Bill C-21 is going after law abiding Licensed and Registered gun owners and only allowing them to keep their now Prohibited Guns but not allowed them to use their prohibited guns in any capacity. Prohibited guns must be in a safe at all times unloaded and locked. You are not allowed to transfer them anywhere, you are not allowed to sell, loan or give them to another person, and upon death the prohibited gun/s must be relinquish to the Government. According to Bill C-21 this is apparently going to help stop non license holding non gun registered criminals from committing gun related crimes that for the most part do not obtain their firearms legally.

This is like saying that ICBC (Canadas Vehicle Insurance Agency) has looked into motor vehicle accidents and found that a high majority of vehicle accidents are caused by people that do not have drivers licenses and that do not have registered or insured vehicles, furthermore ICBC has come to the conclusion that vehicles related to these accidents often times are import sedans that have been lowered and tuned. So in order to reduce car accidents ICBC will be focusing on drivers with drivers licenses and registered and license vehicles that fit this description and any other vehicle they deem a possible threat , these registered and licensed vehicle owners will still be allowed to own their vehicles that fit this criteria and have them registered but they will not be allowed to drive their vehicle/s anymore. Their vehicle/s must be kept in the garage at all times and never driven. You can not sell or loan your vehicle/s to anyone and these vehicle/s will not be allowed to be imported, bought or sold anymore in Canada. Once you die your vehicle/s are relinquished by the Government without payment no matter what their assessed value.

In this YouTube Video I test out my new Insta360 One R with the 1 Inch Mod, comparing it to my Sony RX 100 IV to see how they compare against each other.

It’s not really a fair comparison since my Sony RX 100 IV is now 5 or 6 years old which is a long time for a digital camera but it has been really good to me and provided some really great quality video over the years. Compare that to the Insta360 One R that is about a year on the market now and you would think the clear winner would be the Insta360 One R.

On it’s own the Insta360 One R with the standard 4k lens would perform well against the Sony RX 100 IV but the Sony RX 100 IV has a 1 inch sensor allowing it to get the most out of each pixel and since I primarily shoot in 1080p 60 frames per second I need to get as much out of each pixel as I can.

One really great feature about the Insta360 One R is that it is modular so I can swap the 4k module out for a 5.7 k 360 module or even a 1 inch 5.3k module allowing both the Insta360 One R and the Sony RX 100 IV to have that large 1 inch sensor keeping the comparison more inline with each other.

Some things to not that will make a big difference in quality and limitations for this video is that the Insta360 One R 1 Inch Mod was shot using 4k 60 fps while the Sony RX 100 IV was shot using 1080p 60fps. The Insta360 One R 1 Inch Mod has a fixed focus while the Sony RX 100 IV has a variable focus.

Anyway I will let you be the judge and decide which camera you like the look of the video for at least in this shooting situation.

Without the cool cameras there would be no cool Airgun videos and so when a company reached out to me and says… Hey, would you like to try out one of our new 4K Action cameras? I say sure! I can always use another high quality 4K camera for even more angles and who knows what else…

In this unboxing video I take a look at the SJCAM SJ10 Pro Action Camera to see what’s in the box obviously, what it looks like and what my first impressions of the SJCAM SJ10 Pro Action Camera are. I have to say the build quality is a lot better than I thought it was going to be, I’m pretty sure the main body is made out of metal and the crips looking lcd screen pretty much takes up the entire back of the camera. The camera is a lot smaller than I was expecting too which is a good thing since the more compact a camera is, the more likely I will be taking it along with me and using it.

The finish is closest to a stainless but I believe was called Chrome back in the day. I would call it a Satin nickel finish? The EKOL FIrat is a lot like the EKOL Jackal which also came in compact and Magnum version and resemble a Beretta 92. The following product review for the Comica WS60 UHF Dual Mini Wireless Microphone Combo has nothing to do with Replica Airguns but as a YouTuber with a couple of YouTube channels, I have to make sure I not only have good quality video but also good quality audio when I make a YouTube Video for one of my channels.

After all if it sounds like I’m in a wind tunnel or the bat cave and you can not hear clearly what I’m saying then it can be very distracting for you the viewer to understand what I ‘m trying to share with you!

Perhaps you can also utilize a product like the Comica WS60 UHF Dual Mini Wireless Microphone Combo for your audio and video needs, which could also be for something social media related or even just for your own personal use to get the best quality home video and audio.

For the last couple of years I have been using a lapel mic more and more in my videos and I try to use one whenever possible since the audio is just so much better than the Microphone audio built into the camera. It's not that the camera mics are really all that bad, the problem is that most of the time the camera is simply not close enough to the person speaking so you tend to get a lot of background and room noise which makes the speaking audio sound distant with noticeable ambient noise and echo.

Generally I have been using a wired lapel mic that I record directly into my SmartPhone, which I place in my pocket while recording. I use a different camera to record my vide, I then sync the audio to the video in post production on my computer but this requires a bit of audio and video software know how. The advantage to a wireless setup is that you can record directly into the camera if it supports an audio input meaning no more requirements to sycn audio later and no long cord bwteen the audio source and the camera. A wireless setup usually is more compact and versatile. In this Comica WS60 UHF Dual Mini Wireless Microphone Combo YouTube Video Review I first unbox the Comica WS60 UHF Dual Mini Wireless Microphone Combo and show you what you get inside the box and talk about some of the basic features and specification. I then test it out and record audio so you can hear for yourself what it sounds like. I first test it plugged into my SmartPhone like I normally do and then I pug it into my DJI Osmo Pocket for a second reference test. Please keep in mind I performed my original testing without monitoring the real time audio output so I did not catch that there was some interference from my overhead LED lighting. Here we have three very different products I Unbox and Preview for everyone. A Spring Piston multi-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle, a single action BB/Pellet revolver that’s not a Colt! And a really nice looking Semi Auto Blank Pistol in a Chrome finish.

Let’s start with the Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle. I think this is a really well thought out Air Rifle. It’s “almost a Bullpup” in design but it does actually load in front of the trigger just a bit, that said most of the spring piston is behind the trigger setup making it really compact yet with a longer than normal barrel compared to regular Break Barrel Spring Piston Air Rifles. The Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle also has a side lever cocking mechanism along with a 5 round auto indexing magazine which makes it much quicker to cock and reload for fast follow-up shots, again compared to a standard Break Barrel Air Rifle, not to mention no barrel droop! The Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle has a claimed fps of up to 500 so we are getting the max amount of velocity possible for our Canadian laws without making it a regulated firearm and requiring a PAL license. And by the way the Air Venturi TR5 Spring Piston 5-shot .177 Caliber Pellet Rifle does come in both a Lime Green and all Black version just in case you are not a fan of the Lime Green finish I show in this video.

Moving onto the Schofield No. 3 BB/Pellet 6 Shot Revolver Replica, if you like single action revolvers then take a look at the Schofield No. 3 BB/Pellet 6 Shot Revolver Replica. It’s a lot more bulky than a Colt Single Action Revolver and also has that top Break design that makes reloading quick and easy. The version we are selling inner Replica Airgun Online Store is the kit version that comes with 6 BB shells and 6 pellet shells so you can take your pick on ammo types. The barrel is not rifled so Steel BB’s will not hurt the Airgun and since pellets are skirted they do not need a rifled barrel to fly straight and true. Last up is one of my favorite Blank firing Semi Auto Pistols which I have already full reviews in the all Black version so checkout those Video Reviews for more info on the ROHM RG-88 line of Front Firing 9mm Blank Pistols. All I really wanted to show you guys with the ROHM RG-88 9mm PAK Blank Pistol in Polished Chrome is how awesome it looked with the Polished Chrome finish and that we do have more choices now than we use to have in terms of what finish you can get your ROHM RG-88 in. Personally I like the Polished Chrome finish the best but you can also get it in all Black and Matte Chrome, so you decide which one you like the best.

Again I have some new products to show everyone. Some we got a bit of a preview of when I was at SHOT Show 2019 earlier this year but now I have them in my hands to show off and of course will be doing full Table Top and Filed Test for anything new as soon as I can get to them.

Starting with Sig Sauer, they sent me their brand new Sig Sauer P365 CO2 Blowback BB Pistol. This was probably one of my favorite new Air Pistols at SHOT Show simply because it is so small and somehow Sig was able to find a way to put a full size drop out metal magazine that holds both the CO2 and BB’s in it. This is one I am really looking forward to testing out in the Indoor Sea Can Airgun Shooting Range.

Another fantastic product is Crosman’s DPMS Full Auto CO2 BB Rifle which was pretty much perfect the first time around. Well at SHOT Show this year Crosman updated it a bit mainly with some cosmetic changes and now is offering the Crosman MPW, a slightly shorter version of the DPMS and now with an AR Compatible Stock for customizing your Crosman’s MPW Full Auto CO2 BB Rifle.

Yet one more item I was drooling over at SHOT Show 2019 where the Air Venturi Springfield Arms XDM Air Pistols being offered in GBB Airsoft and CO2 BB models along with 3.8 and 4.5 inch versions. It looks like the GBB Airsoft venisons where first out of the factory and I was able to get them in two styles, the Air Venturi Springfield Arms XDM 3.8 GBB Airsoft and Air Venturi Springfield Arms XDM 4.5 GBB Airsoft.

So maybe not as exciting… I also take a look at a NBB CO2 BB Makarov from KWC that is pretty basic but is much less expensive and will offer higher FPS and more shots per CO2 being that it is Non-blowback Airgun. It will be interesting to see how it compares performance wise to the KWC Full Blowback CO2 BB version.

Last but also super cool and I know it’s not really as Airgun related but still something I think everyone will be interested in is the Pocket Shot Pro Arrow Pouch with D-Loop. I reviewed the Pocket Shot “Slingshot” a while back, this new product allows you to use standard Arrows with their new Arrow Pouch getting around 40 pounds of pull and it comes with a trigger release. By the way the Pocket Shot Pro Arrow system is legals to hunt deer with in most US States, I’m not sure about Canada but perhaps here too?

The subject of Red/Orange tips on Airguns is often a bit controversial, the idea behind putting a Red or Orange tip on an Airgun is to distinguish an Airsoft gun from a “Real Gun”. Is this really a good idea? Do we really want to encourage people from treating an Airgun as if it was not real? Does the Orang/Red tip give people the wrong idea that an Airgun can be used with less responsibility than a real gun and if so what are the consequences.

In my “Is a Red or Orange Tip on an Airgun a Good or Bad Idea” YouTube Video I dress two main issues I have with putting Red or Orange Tips on Airguns and in this case I am talking mainly from the perspective of a person living in North America where we often see Red/Orange tips on Airsoft guns that come from the US. In Canada our legally imported Airsoft guns do not require Red or Orange tips since they are actually considered unregulated firearms as an Airsoft gun has been determined to be able to cause serious injury.

Main Point Number 1:

Main Point Number 2:
Does the additional a Red/Orange Tip on and Airgun make it harder for law enforcement to make a decision when they are forced to act on someone that appears to have a gun and is using it in a dangerous way? What do they do when a person is brandishing what looks to be a firearm but it appears to have a Red or Orange Tip on it? What if someone simply painted the tip Red or Orange to throw people off and make them second guess themselves allowing the perpetrator critical time to get the first and most critical shots off?

I am not trying to stir up any pots here but simply bringing up concerns I have with adding Red or Orange Tips to Airguns. Maybe the powers that be need to reconsider if a Red or Orange Tip on an Airgun is a good or bad idea?

It’s been long time coming but here is the last bit of my journey to get my 1993 Ducati 750 Super Sport licensed and on the road! I know not everyone is going to be interested in a motorcycle video since this is an Airgun channel but a lot of people did mention to me that they wanted to know more about my Ducati and how it was all going. In this “Getting the 1993 Ducati 750 Super Sport on the Road” YouTube video I go through the final process I need to do to get my Ducati 750ss registered and licensed for road use. This final step requires me to get BC Vehicle Inspection done where an authorized mechanic inspects the vehicle to make sure it complies to all the road use standard in place here in Canada BC.

My Field Test Shooting videos for blank guns are pretty basic! I can’t test for accuracy since there is no bullet hitting a target and similarly since there is no bullet I can not test the velocity or feet per second power. SO what is there really left to test?

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver in single action is fairly light weight with virtually no take up at all as you would expect from a revolver. The double action trigger pull is much heavier with a smooth release. Mechanically the trigger feels really solid.

Accuracy: NA.

Build Quality: The overall build quality for the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver is excellent, being German made its built to last and the fit and finish is typical German quality. There are steel parts where they need to be like in the barrel, pins, screws and reenforcing parts, the rest of the gun is generally made out of a zinc alloy otherwise know as pot metal with only the moulded grips being made out of plastic.

Realism: The ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver is not an exact replica of any given gun in production as this would make importing it into Canada even more difficult, but it is styled after a Snub Nosed type Revolver. As for looking like and working like a real gun, the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver looks and sounds as loud as a real gun, of course with the exception of the dangerous bullet coming out of the barrel!

I think the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver especially in the Chrome (Nickel) version is one of the nicest looking ROHM Blank guns we stock. The additional size over say a ROHM RG-59 makes it feel a lot more beefy in the hand, you also get the extra 6th 9mm / .380 caliber blank with the larger cylinder of the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver. Anther bonus with the Chrome or Nickel version is that you get moulded grips that again I feel looks and fells better in the hand. Along with the ROHM RG-88, the ROHM RG-89 .380 Caliber Blank Revolver is one of my Top ROHM Picks!

You may be asking why a Airgun channel is doing a review of a hand-held microphone. Well part of making good video is also making sure you also record great sounding audio!
